Some 80+ years ago when this log cabin was originally built, hundreds of cabins dotted the lake shore and surrounding mountains, but today, this historic building is the only such family cabin on Clearlake that you can rent to relive that backwoods experience. Located on a five acre private estate in secluded honeymoon cove.

Our Family Cabin was quite large for cabins built in it's day, and includes three rooms. The front room is a large open dining room and living room with a Murphy bed hidden in the wall. On the right is kitchen, updated a bit but still rather vintage. In the back is a large bedroom with both a bunk bed and another Murphy bed that comes down from the wall. Both rooms have lake views and connect to a bathroom with a claw foot tub.

Ideal for small children as the lake has a gradual entry into the lake and they don't have to dive off a dock or wall to get into the water.

This is our Cozy Romantic Honeymoon Cottage Studio Cabin designed for 2 with a Double Bed, table and chairs, refrigerator, separate kitchen and ½ bath. The kitchen is fully appointed with stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans, etc. The shower is enclosed with the entry just outside the cabin door. You can enjoy the privacy of your own little deck and charcoal BBQ or feel free to choose any of the seating vignettes on the property. They are ALL for your enjoyment! This cabin has no HVAC but heaters and fans are provided for your comfort. Wi-Fi available but bring a good book to RELAX and get away from it all for a while!

- "Great except the nasty water which you have no control over" - "I stayed in Cabin 3 with my girlfriend and pup for two nights. I didn't have the opportunity to meet Ron in person, but Bob, the property manager, is the quintessential host for anything you'd need. If you have any concerns, Bob will help and is always available and a genuine boon to the property. The cabin looks directly over the lake, and the view is spectacular. Site 3 is as-advertised in the photos--albeit, a new fridge, same functional stove, and adorable sleeping space. ***PLEASE NOTE*** The only complaint we had was with the electrical wiring the first night. PLEASE check the cabin setup for your safety. I didn't notice anything untoward until I saw that the fridge was plugged in to a power strip. This was odd, certainly, and after tracing the power source all the way back, the power was from a 2>3 connector (ungrounded to "grounded") outlet. This connector had warnings to never use if ungrounded (it was, and the grounding tab wasn't connected to anything) and never to be used with an extension cord. This was the first step in 3 separate extension cords daisy-chained together ending with the fridge. Needless to say, I was incredibly anxious and uneasy sleeping with that configuration. Thankfully, Bob was able to provide a dedicated, grounded power option for the fridge the next morning. In short, this is an absolutely beautiful property with a great host, and the best spot you can book on Clear Lake. Mind the electrical setup, and have a wonderful time. I'd highly recommend Cabin 3 for the rustic aesthetic in a gorgeous location."

Your day can be finished with a fire in the fire pit perfect for evening relaxation.

Access is easy just off Hwy 20. Pull in with your boat and trailer. There is room for your trailer beside the Bass House in a specified RV parking area.

This is the largest of our 1930’s Cabins and will sleep 11. The Great Room has an oval dining table with 6 leather chairs and can take a couple folding chairs to seat 8 next to windows with a stunning view of the lake. Also this large L shaped Great Room has 3 Bunk Beds that double as a Futon Couch during the day and makes into a Double/Full Bed at night with a Twin Bed up top. During the day, they are couches and at night beds giving plenty of seating space. There is a separate bedroom with a queen bed, a large fully appointed kitchen with small eating space, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc. The bathroom has a period cast iron crow-foot bathtub converted to a shower. The spacious deck has a awesome view of the lake to watch your family play, table and chairs with your personal charcoal BBQ. In the bedroom there is a window A/C and two portable A/C units for additional comfort. Wi-Fi available but bring a good book to RELAX and get away from it all for a while!

Escape to our Jago Bay gem, lake front home…lux cabin vibe! Views from every room… feast your eyes on the gorgeous sunsets from our jacuzzi! Enjoy the great outdoors and all the comforts of home. Bring your boat, jet ski and fishing poles and come stay with us! A large and open living area, with grand 85 in smart TV and sumptuous leather sectional, dining area, open kitchen, enormous deck, 4 bedrooms, 6 beds and two full bathrooms (3rd bathroom in construction in second house and will be finished in April of 2024).

We have a fully stocked kitchen ready for meals and feasts of any kind. We provide a lot of springboard items, so guests don't have to over-buy for short stays.

We anticipate you will spend most of your time out on our enormous patio deck that features a sitting area and patio dining area…and of course a Weber BBQ grill. From sunsets to city lights to star light…you won’t miss any of these from this patio that extends the length of the main house.

Sumptuous and decadent Master suite features a King size bed, 55” smart TV and a huge tub complete with jets and lights, showers with multiple jet options sure to deliver a lux experience, and of course views in all directions.

Bedroom 2 is downstairs and features a custom-built queen-sized bed, a large bathroom, TV and direct access to lower patio and hot tub, with own private area to enjoy.

Studio room and 4th bedroom are steps away from the main house, each with their own private entrance and a third bathroom.

Studio/Game room features Full size bunk beds, sitting area with comfortable leather sofa that opens to a Queen bed, and large 65” TV. Game table and Fuss ball round out this entertainment area for all ages! Comfy patio furniture front this large Studio room for even more star gazing and lake views!

4th bedroom/Office has a full-size bed and ergonomic electric standing desk complete with 32” monitor/keyboard/mouse…for when work has to accompany vacation! You will also enjoy a panoramic view of the Lake.

There is a fully fenced in rear backyard area that is safe for children and pets.

CAUTION! This forest retreat has a very vibrant eco-system and is surrounded by nature. Please do not be alarmed by deer in your backyard, fish jumping around in your Lake, Birds singing in unison at sunrise and Bald Eagles hovering overhead.

BATHROOMS: There are three full-sized bathrooms, two in the main house, and a third in the Guest house.

HEATING/COOLING: Living Room, Master Bedroom and Studio feature a Split AC/Heater unit. There is a portable AC unit in the Studio petit room. Fans and floor/space heaters are provided. Note that our area in Lower Lake is generally 10 degrees cooler than downtown and there is usually a cool breeze coming from the Lake. This property was designed for free air flow with 24 windows/doors.

OUTDOOR GEAR: 2 kayaks and one stand up paddle board with oars and life jackets are available for your pleasure. Bring your own fishing gear. We have a boat lift available upon request. Please check wind/surf before taking kayaks out for your safety.

TECH: Experience the convenience of working remotely or surfing for fun with our high-speed internet and smart home features! Enjoy self-check-in and smart TV's. YouTube TV available on all TVs as well as other TV Apps (subject to change).

Security:
For you safety and security there are two ring cameras on site; one on the front door and one on the garage for your safety and security.

House Rules:
No parties or events. No smoking. No undeclared guests or pets. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am, per local ordinance. Must be 25 or older to book. Shower before using Jacuzzi. Shut off everything before checkout. Possible extra charges for excessive cleaning and trash. Use large trash/recycle bin at the top of the property by the mail boxes.

Guest Access:
PARKING/ACCESS: Accessible to you, any time after 4:00PM! Enjoy the convenience of keyless entry and ample parking on our private property.
In order to access this private retreat between the forest and lake, you will have to drive to the very end of the Jago Bay point. At the end of your drive, you will have a .5-mile drive on a well-maintained gravel road that is assessable by all vehicles.

A haven away from the hustle and bustle of hectic life…. where the sounds of fish jumping in the water and birds serenate you to wake, we knew it had to be our home! WOW sunsets are truly spectacular and priceless…all the pictures posted are taken from our deck…and from the dining area…imagine feasting your eyes and tummy at the same time.

- "This is a cozy one bedroom unit right off the Main Street in Clearlake. If you want very simple then this is the place. Price is very reasonable and it’s comfortable. My only issue was how the cleaning crew missed a few things that were obvious. Nothing major but I have been around janitorial businesses for years so I may be a little biased." - "Spent 30mins trying to get into the property only to find out that the lock box code had changed Filled with bugs/flys upon arrival…crawling all over ceiling No knife to cut vegetable/fruit etc. No frying pan or baking sheets. Second shelf above sink was so crooked/slanted that it caused two bowls to fall off of it in the middle of the night and shatter. First towel used post shower literally disintegrated and fell apart I’d pass on this unit until the owner puts some money into it to make it a viable rental. Not trying to be rude, just honest. The owner was very nice when I spoke with her about the wrong lock box combo, just want to provide accurate feedback to make the place better."

Nostalgic lakefront home with private dock with plenty of room for friends and family ! Relax in the large waterfront back yard for outdoor games, entertaining and plenty of privacy. The two upstairs bedrooms have king size beds. The downstairs bonus room is a third bedroom with 4 twin built-in bunk beds and secondary living room - the perfect place to relax with friends and enjoy the lake views. The Sunrises and Moonrises here are spectacular!

Our home is located on a small private road. There are three parallel parking spaces before the detached garage and one parallel parking space opposite the entrance gate.

DOGS
We are dog friendly! Our pet fee is $100 per well-trained dog.

Furry Friends are not to be left alone at the property without a crate and must be kept off the furniture/beds to avoid additional cleaning charges. Please pick up after your fur babies!

BOATS
Redbud has the closest public Boat Launch. Bring your buoys and rope and tie up to our private dock for the duration of your stay!

BBQ
We have a charcoal BBQ! Please plan to bring your own charcoal 🙂

LAKELIFE
If you’re staying with us in the summer you may see a good amount of midges or “lake flies” but don’t worry, they’re harmless (non-biting and do not carry disease)!

Other things to note
Clear Lake is a natural lake and subject to algae blooms, typically in July and August. The lake can be accessed by kayak or boat even when swimming is not advised. Blooms are usually localized so you can still travel by boat or car to a different part of the lake without a bloom. Our location of the lake is nice and deep with a good current so while it is unlikely there will be a bloom during your stay, it is impossible to predict. In extreme heat you may see a heavier presence of algae around the dock - this is normal and not all algae is harmful so please do your research and use your best judgment.
