- "it was cozy and rustic!" - "Was amazing to spend time with friends and just a nice get away from the city!" - "This property is pure magic! I stayed with my two granddaughters and we thoroughly enjoyed preparing our meals inside and on the gas grill and even over the fire in the fire pit! We had everything we needed. It was a nice respite to be electronically disconnected and the landline stil provides an opportunity for emergency contact if needed. I would enjoy just visiting this space on my own for a weekend - if I lived closer! my contacts with Mike were always warm, friendly and informative."

- This how was so cute and I loved the remoteness of the location. It felt like our own little private oasis. The space was absolutely spotless. I usually feel very uncomfortable anywhere other than my own home because it doesn’t feel clean but this place was the exception. It was so peaceful here. The only two things I wish I would have realized before we went were: there was zero cell service at the location but the WiFi was great. And it was 100+ degrees out so almost 90 in the home. There were lots of fans which helped and opening the house up in the early mornings, late evenings but I wasn’t quite prepared for how hot it would be. Just keep that in mind when planning! Otherwise this location was a dream and we would definitely come back (maybe in the fall lol). Toni G, Jul 2024
- Location in the deep redwoods, quiet and peaceful. Nearly a perfect rental property with a spacious deck, hot tub and modern amenities and trees, trees, trees! Every day, our stresses ebbed and retreated in this forest retreat. Large TV provided evening entertainment. Well supplied kitchen, efficient outdoor grill and very modern bathroom. Hot tub warm and comfy. Entire house was immaculately clean upon our arrival. Highly recommend if you're looking to "get away from it all", yet just minutes from downtown Guerneville and the Russian River. Deborah L, Jul 2024
- This is like being a nature and in the woods but with all the amenities. I got this just to sit in the hot tub surrounded by trees and it was exactly what I expected. And more. The view and decor so warming. The last night I was able to watch a movie on Netflix with the wifi no issues. It was wonderful stay. Susanna E, Jun 2024
- It was so quiet, with redwood trees all around, we spent a lot of time out on the deck and in the hot tub best place I have ever rented. Elizabeth S, May 2024
- The property is great! Tucked into the redwoods with a stream nearby, that you can listen to in a clean, ready-to-go hot tub. Lovely house with enjoyable amenities and an extremely cool shower. I rented this with some colleagues for a workshop. All intend on returning for their own visits. Nathan H, Mar 2024
- Absolutely beautiful little place. Beds are a little firm for our liking. But the house is well kept, clean, everything you need is there. The spa was really nice to get in and sit among the trees. Absolutely loved it. 10 out 10 would recommend! Jacquelyn B, Jan 2024
- This cabin was wonderful! Very clean, well equipped, secluded. We came with another couple & we all truly enjoyed our stay. One in our group had a business conference in San Francisco & we wanted to escape the business of the city & unwind. The hot tub was perfect! We loved being in the woods. I'd love to come back in warmer weather & enjoy the wonderful deck! Safeway grocery store is close, Armstrong Redwoods State Nature Reserve is also close & we enjoyed hours of hiking there. Thank you for opening this great cabin for us to enjoy! Lisa H, Jan 2024

Cabin in the Redwoods Along The Stunning Sonoma Coastline
Our cozy, family-friendly hideaway in the Redwoods has everything you need to slow down, reconnect, and breathe easy. The home features carpeted bedrooms and beautiful tiled common areas. The spacious primary bedroom, tucked on one side of the house, boasts a king-size bed, a double vanity, shower, and a relaxing jacuzzi tub. On the opposite side, you'll find two charming guest rooms—one with a queen-size bed and the other with two singles. These rooms share a bathroom, making it ideal for families or small groups. The cabin comfortably sleeps 4-6 guests (with a strict maximum of 6, as per Sonoma County Permit).
When we're not exploring the lot for mushrooms, banana slugs, and other fun critters, we love hiking the nearby coastal trails, practicing yoga under the towering redwoods, and napping in the hammocks. There’s always something to do, from playing badminton and cornhole to enjoying a cozy evening by the fire. We often gather around the fully stocked chef’s kitchen to cook and share meals together—it's the heart of our cabin.
Smooth self-check- in via smart lock for self-check-in, fast wifi, an outdoor gas grill, 2 smart TVs, a dedicated workspace, indoor and outdoor games, a jacuzzi bathtub, a hammock under the redwoods, central heating, a washer & dryer, and a fully equipped chef’s kitchen with whisper-quiet dishwasher, 6-burner gas range, and a dual-temperature wine fridge. Modern Zen is a sophisticated and tasteful blend of modern and serene. Set in the redwoods of Cazadero near Austin Creek, this mid-century modern compound embraces stylish amenities like a hot tub, remodeled kitchen, outdoor shower, firepit and entertainment technology. Get away from it all in a two bedroom main house and separate private suite.
Outside is divine! The main deck sports a dining table for morning mimosas and alfresco meals, propane BBQ, large hammock (that gets a perfect amount of sunshine in the afternoon), plenty of welcoming seating and views up the hillside and into the redwood trees. It's the perfect gathering place between the main house and the private suite. Around the corner and completely private, a 6 person hot tub awaits. Just steps away is a private outdoor shower, hooks for towels and gate to the lower yard and fully fenced dog run.
In the main house the freshly remodeled kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, a multi-tiered island and is open to the dining area and comfortable living room. The kitchen is well-appointed with quality cookware and colorful Fiestaware. This open floorplan is ideal for group cooking and congregating. No one is left out of the fun! Spread out in the living room to watch TV or stream music through the new flat screen Roku TV. Retreat to your cozy bedroom with a memory foam king bed and one with a queen bed. Each bedroom has a TV and sliding glass doors to the deck and hot tub. Get ready in the stylish main bathroom with heated floors, tiled shower/tub combo and marble counter top.
Cross the multi-level deck to the charming private suite with queen bed, separate comfortable seating area with TV and DVD player, full bathroom with heated floors and kitchenette with washer and dryer. This space is equally inviting when sun streams through the windows or rain patters on the roof. Make coffee in the kitchenette or grab a snack from the mini fridge before joining everyone in the main house for breakfast.
Native ferns, rhododendrons and thimbleberries thrive under the redwood trees with Japanese maples, climbing roses and camellias. Families, friends, dog owners and everyone else will love staying at this peaceful retreat in the woods - that's just a short drive to world class restaurants and wineries. Hiking in Armstrong Redwoods State Park or along the Sonoma Coast is minutes away.

- "Home is lovely. We had problems with TV but found ourselves outside most of the time. Great proximity to several tiny towns. We took advantage of local farmer’s markets. Would recommend to adults looking for a calm and quiet get away." - "We had a lovely rainy weekend at this house. We agreed that this is the best-documented vacation home any of us had stayed at. It's very well set up for guests. We appreciated the separate suite, the heated bathroom floors, and the hot tub. It was too rainy to use the outdoor hammock, but we hope to return another time to enjoy it. Overall, this was a great vacation home and we would happily rent it again."

- "The place was very relaxing. Hot tub was beautifully located under the redwoods near the creek. Linens were exceptionally scented with hormonal disruptive scented laundry detergent. Bring your own wood for the fireplace, as none is provided. BBQ grill is broken and won’t ignite. Otherwise, the place is very comfortable with a well appointed kitchen and very spacious outdoor area." - "We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary here, and loved every minute. When we arrived the property had not been cleaned due to a miscommunication, but the manager got it sorted and an amazing cleaning team came almost immediately. They did a quick, thorough job. The manager made it up to us with a bottle of wine and refunded part of the cleaning fee, which we really appreciated. Staying creekside was the most magical for us. Our 9 year-old spent hours finding tadpoles and splashing around, and the sound of the water relaxed us. A local highlight was Gold Coast Bakery, which we visited every single day. We took advantage of the short drive to the coast, which features many hiking spots. The cleanliness and amenities were outstanding. We felt right at home. Something we also enjoyed was how it was much cooler at the property due to the redwood canopy. It was maybe 5-10 degrees cooler than when we drove out to the main road. The only downside to this was that our swim clothes and towels wouldn't really dry out. It was a small price to pay for an amazing trip."

- "Thank you for sharing your home with us! We had an amazing time together. The home was so cozy and quiet. We spent most of our time enjoying the deck and hot tub under the stars, and the canopy of redwoods during the day. We also appreciated that your rental was dog friendly. It is rare to find a place so nice that allows our fur babies! It was definitely a vacation to remember. We can’t wait for our next trip to Blackberry Bliss!" - "We had a lovely stay! Right away, we noticed the swarm of hummingbirds that danced and fought over the feeders. Was fascinating. The creek is accessible and we spent some time hiking up the creek until we found the road again. This place is situated just right so that the afternoon sun hits the deck. It's an ideal spot for a double couple get-away or maybe a small family. Kitchen was well stocked and pleasant to use. Plenty of options for climate control if you want to be cozy. - "A unique, magical cabin in a beautiful forest setting. We enjoyed the eclectic art and decorations from different eras and places. The gorgeous, well crafted redwood interior was a delight. The many windows let in the lovely forest view. The lounge chairs by the hot tub allowed us to gaze up at the tall redwoods and contemplate. The silence was broken only by chirping birds or occasional distant dog bark. Truly relaxing. We felt asleep to the call of a Great Horned owl."

Seventeen Sequoias is a hidden oasis on Austin Creek. A gardener's sanctuary with an orchard of more than a dozen mature fruit trees including multiple types of apples, three kinds of plums, an Asian pear apple, D'Anjou pear, figs, peach, persimmons, quince and kiwi vines - as well as an area of raised garden beds and an abundance of blackberries. Flowering bulbs, hydrangeas, and extensive succulent gardens mingle between the 17+ ancient redwood trees including several fairy rings. Garden paths wind amid the plantings and natives that also host hummingbirds, butterflies and other wildlife. Explore and experience this 1 acre property as it transforms through the seasons. In fair weather, bring your water wings, floaties, and water shoes to float or walk in the creek - skipping stones and, if you're lucky, watching otters! The ping-pong table is rated for year-round use and it is next to the outdoor seating area by the cottage.
Your retreat at Seventeen Sequoias extends into the recently remodeled house as a place to relax and recharge any time of year. Play board games in front of the living room fireplace or catch up on movies, snuggling on the extra-long leather sofa and comfy chairs. The refreshed kitchen boasts a fantastic amount of counter space, cabinets well-stocked with pots, pans and kitchen tools, and stainless steel appliances including a Jenn-Air range. You may not want to leave to explore the excellent restaurants in Duncan's Mills or nearby Jenner, but if you do, you'll love returning to Seventeen Sequoias!
Adjacent to the spacious master bedroom is the custom built bathroom. The shower is tiled with cut river rock, ceramic and glass tiles. While we hope you don't need it, the second bedroom doubles as a home office. Fold the Queen Murphy bed up and out of the way, plug in your laptop and get some work done and go back to playing! Lastly, in a creative turn, the laundry room is also a sleeping nook! A single twin bed cozies in with a privacy curtain.
The newest addition – a remodeled cottage in the back yard adds another bedroom, full bathroom, and extensive living room. An antique poker table and movie posters set the laid-back vibe. Through outside to the year-round outdoor ping-pong table and gas firepit in the newly graveled seating area. New photos coming!

On 30 private acres you don't have many neighbors! The Fort Ross Store (general store, food, coffee, deli, and wine/alcohol) is at the bottom of the hill, 100 yards away (1 min walk). The Fort Ross Lodge is directly across Highway 1. Timber Cove Resort is 2 minutes away by car, and Stillwater Cove is 5 minutes by car.
On property you only need your feet! It's a 3-minute walk to the Fort Ross Store (basic food items, wine, coffee, deli). It's a 15-minute walk to Windermere Point on the cliffs. From there, a steep trail leads to Kolmer Gulch with a private beach. Everything else requires a car on Highway 1.
There are 5 outdoor security cameras on the property. All cameras are actively recording 24/7 both visually and audibly but are not monitored and are there for safety reasons. Three are directed towards the front of the house (front yard, driveway north, and driveway south), one on the south side of the house, and one facing the backyard / meadow.
Each room has 1 king bed and we have camping-style cots and pack ‘n plays available for additional occupants.
The hot tub and sauna are provided for your enjoyment, but come with assumed risks. You are responsible for supervising any children under the age of 14, no eating or drinking in the hot tub or saunas, and agree to use at your own risk. Do not use if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, pregnant, or hypertensive.
We provide 2 full propane tanks to be used with gas grill and outdoor heater. If you anticipate needing more, additional propane may need to be brought up or you can refill the tanks in Gualala or Sea Ranch Supply.
You're in the woods! Expect some tiny visitors like spiders and beetles, and the occasional mouse. They won't hurt you and we take every precaution to keep the house safe and clean. If you encounter wildlife indoors - please let us know so we can help remove them safely.

- "We visited with 6 adults and 4 young kids - three families. And it was lovely - the house is exactly as described, and is clean, lovely, and comfortable. It's easy to reach (from Hwy 1), and is remote enough that you can really enjoy yourself, and the kids loved running around the property, playing with whatever they could find, going on walks and visiting the beach. Meanwhile the house itself is wonderful, very comfortable and the adults were able to relax as well. I would also note that the Lodge has stunning sunsets, and the view from each room is lovely to wake up to. We're planning on returning, and will stay longer next time."

- "Wish we could stay longer." - "House was prepared and instructions we’re clear for operating things. Definitely would go back. One thing I would say is the double doors to go outside, due to the cold weather, we’re very difficult to open and I would recommend fixing that so someone doesn’t break those nice doors. Other than that, the place was excellent and we would go back again for sure. Great quiet, scenic place !" - "Perfect spot for our family, especially our 2 dogs. Never heard any fireworks the entire week. Beautiful location in the Redwoods and Cool in a very hot heat wave!"

Enjoy expansive views of the Pacific Ocean and Windermere Point from the bedroom, dining room, and kitchen with vast outdoor decks that make up this private compound and property 'Fort Camp'.
The original main cabin was built as a fishing cabin in 1945. Recently renovated this little gem has all of the amenities needed for a cozy retreat away from home. The compact fishing cabin has one full bath, perfect sized kitchen and a quaint bedroom with a luxurious queen-sized bed. The cabin offers white pine floors and furnished with vintage and handmade eclectic pieces. The cabin has a nap inducing built in sofa with reading nook positioned next to the original stone fireplace that is fully functional and perfect for cozy fires. Fresh linens, toiletries, hair dryer and cookware essentials are provided.
Behind the main cabin is the Bunk House where you'll find an adorable room with 2 sleeping alcoves. One Full-sized bed and one pint size single along with a tiny toilet room and a wall hung camp sink for washing up. Pack and Play/Portable crib.
The camp has fast WiFi for connecting on your own devices, but you'll most likely be enjoying the views instead of watching a screen, as there are no TVs to be found, just like true camp.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas range, coffee maker, toaster and all of the kitchen essentials needed to stay in and cook a homemade meal. The dining area has a handmade table that seats 4. You can dine al fresco on the oceanfront deck while listening to the sea lions and ocean waves. End each day with a front row seat to a beautiful California sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
The presence of the property itself instills a kind of story-making. Its handmade elements, personal touches, and custom log furniture, outdoor shower call to mind an honest, handmade world, where times were slow and things were made to last. Hints of its past and worn edges throughout just like earned patches at camp — age old redwood siding that has seen years of pacific coast sunsets, prominently displayed signs, found objects, mismatched blankets and pillows bring you right back to sleepovers and tents.
Step outside to hand milled Monterey Cypress decks and terraces that were build with old trees on the property. The built in bench is perfect for watching the light change over the ocean throughout the day and watching the whales migrating up and down the coast. Just below lower terrace deck is your very own campfire pit complete with vintage marshmallow roasting sticks. Share your stories and create lasting memories while sitting around the fire with your camp mates.
Follow the pine tree stump path next to the bunk house and you'll find the sunny bench perch with low table perfect for your morning cup of coffee, mediation, or reading your favorite book. Continue on up the path to the gazebo fitted with your very own soaking hot tub ready for you to unwind and listen to the waves.
Fort Camp allows easy access to all of the incredible features along the North Coast, Salt Point State Park, Fort Ross, Gualala, Guernville, Jenner and more. Just 2 hours north of San Francisco, along the famed Pacific Coast Highway 1. While all here to cook at 'Camp Fort' you can also enjoy a great meal or drinks out within a short distance.
Arriving at Fort Camp feels like harking back to another era, free to return to the slower days of summer camp.
Fort Camp can only accommodate a maximum of 4 guests including visitors at any time during stay. No "sprinter or RV, trailer" parking on property.
There is a landline telephone at the house and wifi cellular calling. There is a RING Video Doorbell with audio for assistance if needed on entry located at the entry door only.

- "We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. (Maybe a microwave would have been nice) But the cabin was adorable. A lot of space to walk around the property. I liked that my husband and I had the bunk house and my 90 + father /wife had the main house. It gave them the privacy as well as us. It would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the bunk house due to us being early risers (we will bring one next time) . I will be coming back for sure."
