Mini-fridge, microwave, counter-top oven/toaster, electric kettle, and a Keurig for making coffee are all included, along with dishes, glasses, basic food prep-ware, coffee and tea supplies. The wifi is strong for all your streaming and online needs. Arcata Forest Retreat also boasts its own private, small patio at the entrance with a soothing fountain, seating, and a propane fire pit. All the appliances are new: 5 burner gas stove with a regular and convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and drawers are fully stocked with all utensils needed for easy cooking or hosting. Small pantry has some start items like: flour, sugar, olive oil, coffee, tea and various cooking spices.

Parking Notes: We cannot guarantee a spot in the driveway as they are shared between guests of all three units on a first come, first served basis. Ample street parking is available for guest use. On 10th Street, you can park right in front of the home between 4:00pm - 10:00am the following morning. Outside of these hours, there is a two-hour limit for street parking spots. There is no time limit across the street, so guests can park there anytime.

This sparkling clean, Arcata Bay/Coastal themed apartment is within a block of the Arcata Plaza, Farmers Market, shopping, overlooking Salt restaurant patio and Septentrio winery barrel room. Fun location close to everything, very spacious, relaxing, and convenient. This apartment is very spacious feeling with a large living room with great town views. There is a full bathroom with a shower over tub and an LG combination washer/dryer. There is a full size gas range, a full size stainless refrigerator, dishwasher, dining table and chairs, a full size 55 inch TV with premium cable, and fast Wi Fi. There is a large private parking lot with motion lighting just for our building. Although the apartment is in a bustling, lively section of town within less than a block of many great restaurants, shops, etc, the bedroom is on the quiet side of the building and has a cal-king bed, and a sitting area to read/relax. Guests have the entire apartment with its own private gate and stairway, a parking lot, and yard. The gates have electronic keypads so the apt and yard are very secure feeling. We respect guests privacy but are always available quickly for guest needs as our home is about 10 blocks away. We are very responsive hosts and always happy to provide recommendations for places to go, restaurants, beaches etc. This is a great location within a block of the town center/Arcata Plaza and less than a block from many great restaurants, shops. Within a block are 7 restaurants, the Arcata Plaza, the Arcata Co-Op grocery store, and countless shops. Once you have parked your car in the private parking lot with motion lighting that is just for our building, you won't need to drive again, everything is within a block or two from this location. We have tankless water heaters for unlimited hot water, rain shower heads, and very strong water pressure so much so many guests comment on how nice the showers are.

Located in what locals call Northtown, our Arcata home is a perfectly situated home base. You will find several eateries, cafes and a natural food grocery store all within a two block walk. You can access the two bridges over to the Cal Poly Humboldt campus a few blocks away and just beyond campus is the Arcata Community Forest with towering redwoods. Downtown Arcata is just a seven minute walk down the hill where you will find more restaurants and unique shops on the plaza.

The home offers a full kitchen with all the cooking tools needed to cook up a nice meal. We provide local coffee, an organic tea selection, sugar, olive oil, salt & pepper, and a handful of spices.

There are two comfortable bedrooms with queen sized beds, a variety of pillows to choose from, crisp sheets and a down comforter with duvet cover. Each room has a luggage rack and one room has a closet and small TV.

The living room has a queen sized sleeper sofa (extra sheets and blankets provided), a large smart TV with a Bose Soundbar and Wi-Fi. A small desk allows for a designated workspace. There are two large frosted pocket doors for privacy. There are also several games tucked away in the desk shelf/drawer.

The bathroom has a tub/shower with glass doors, bright lighting and a blow dryer.

Northtown Arcata offers a variety of delicious eateries including Phoenix Cafe, Wildflower Cafe, Stars Hamburgers, Japhy`s Soup & Noodles, Northtown Coffee, Redwood Yogurt, Hey Juan Burritos- all within a few short blocks.

Wildberries Marketplace, a natural food grocery store, is right down the street and is a great place to gather supplies for a night in.

If you venture down the hill from this neighborhood to the Arcata Plaza, you`ll find even more dining options, the North Coast Co-op Market and lots of unique shops. On Saturdays, be sure to check out the Farmer`s Market on the Plaza.

The 14th Street bridge over to Cal Poly Humboldt is down the street, making the walk to campus a quick and easy stroll.

This home is in an ideal neighborhood for being on foot, however it is also a great launching off point for exploring the nearby beaches and redwood forests. Please see our guestbook for more information on our favorite nearby activites and destinations not to miss.

This home has two units, with entrances on opposite sides of the house. Both units are vacation rentals and offer similar amenities.
