Angela is an amazing hostess, we had everything we needed. A place to curl up on your lounge next to the pool with a good book, take an afternoon nap and then go for a romantic walk in the country. I would say although there is a pool, it is not for children. Our last few days were not as enjoyable as there were two children with no parent supervision who monopolized the pool and were very loud. This was our "rest and re-charge" part of our trip before heading back to Rome for the last few days. You will not be disappointed if you are seeking serenity, nature and romance. Cook your own meal or head into town to stroll the marina and stop at any of the place serving up fresh and delicious meals. - "We had the best time staying at Melograno; the pictures don't do the setting justice as it's even nicer! The daily housekeeping made you feel like you were in a hotel with the added luxury of your own pool and tranquility. Fresh Melograno (pomegranate) and figs a plenty along with herbs for cooking fresh from the walled garden. Views from the living room to the sea was a lovely surprise. Angela the manager of the house was incredibly helpful, meeting us on arrival at a time which suited us, offering suggestions on where to visit in the local area. - "A superbly equipped, well decorated and very comfortable house with two very usable outside spaces plus the pool. One of the best places we've stayed at in Italy or anywhere. Whilst the house is in the middle of a working farm we never felt any less than private and it was always pleasant to be able to say hello to the workers as they passed by. There are lots of local towns and sites to see within an hour or so - Matera is a bit further but still worth the trip - and enough to see within half an hour to fill a week or more though it was just as pleasant to sit by the pool with a glass of wine and a good book. Masseria Profilo is an ancient rural building located in the wide park of Villa Profilo. A long promenade of 400 meters separates the two locations, both with independent entrances, so that guests have their own privacy. The big swimming pool, framed by the luxuriant nature, is halfway of this promenade and it is in sharing with the owners.
Masseria Profilo is composed by two buildings, one very big and the other one a little bit smaller. The big building, dating back to 1700, has a fully equipped kitchen and a very spacious dining room. It consists of one double bedroom with private bathroom, two rooms with single beds and private bathroom and, on the upper floor, one more room with single beds and a bathroom.
The smaller building, obtained from what has once been a stable, has been entirely restored for residential purposes and it offers a large double bedroom with its own bathroom and a kitchenette, a bright and wide room with two single beds and a private bathroom and, on the upper floor, a tiny double room. - "The property is in a rural location at the end of a track with a few similar adjacent properties nearby. The facilities are excellent and the decor is modern. The outside area allows for eating by the property or by the pool. The pool is large with a ledge for younger visitors and has an outdoor fridge and bbq nearby. There is also a netted football pitch and volleyball area. The location of the property allows for easy access from Bari or Brindisi and the largest nearby town is Monopoli (10km) with beaches and supermarkets etc. Withing walking distance is a pizzeria and a grill (which is very popular). The nearest shop is a short drive (3km). Most of the rooms are air conditioned which was essential at night and the wifi covered all areas even the pool. Whilst this was occasionally intermittent it was much better than we have experienced on previous holidays. The 4 rooms in the main house included 3 comfortable doubles and an open loft room above the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee machine but doesn't have much spare space (for a dishwasher). The other 2 rooms are based in a self contained unit attached to the owners house some 50 metres down the drive. The owners keep a low profile but were on hand to offer timely assistance as required which was much appreciated."

Nice modern home with everything we needed" - "The villa is advertised as a 2 bed 2 bath perfect for 2 couples/families. It’s good for 2 people only. The first floor bedroom and bath are very small. The shower was ridiculously tiny. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were much nicer and larger but were moldy. No matter what we did, we couldn’t get rid of the mold and musty smell. We ended up traveling and staying in hotels in other cities to avoid sleeping there. The kitchenette is very tiny. There is no living room. Just a very very tiny galley kitchen and the room you walk into from the front door that has a table pushed against a wall w/4 chairs and a small loveseat. You need to get in your car to drive just about everywhere w/the exception of a cafe and restaurant w/in walking distance. There is no town center. The ocean is across the street but at a very far distance! This property was NOT as advertised and very disappointing! I will add that the owner of the property was very nice and tried to find us another of his properties but the only thing he had available was 20 minutes away and even further from the sea. We had no other choice but to stay there since we weren’t able to find another property at the last minute. "
