- "First of all this is a very unique and beautiful property. Located down a gated side street the house is off the road enough to be quiet yet a 5 minute walk from all the activities of the beaches! Stores and shops are close for stocking up for your stay. Our group of 8 (with family and friends coming and going) had ample room. Ages ranged from 5 to 45. The kitchen had all the utensils one would need to seat a party of 12 or more. The rooftop pool was clean and sweet for a dip. Lounge chairs were tidy and There were music speakers throughout with ample TVs for entertaining. Each bedroom had working air conditioning and comfortable beds. The kids preferred the “fun” rooms which had bunk/loft beds and were on the upper floors. Management was quick to respond and reactive to our questions and needs before and during our stay. There were daily House cleaners that were so friendly and polite. My only concern for anyone traveling with families is that the house is beautifully decorated, with some breakable items low enough to cause concern for any “handsy” toddler. This is not an issue with our 5 year old; however, if your kids like to be touchy you may need to keep this in mind. It is not a negative statement, it is just a parents perspective. When we return to Rio for our next family gathering, we will be staying here again. It really was an ideal fit for us. I highly recommend it for both family and mid size work groups. - "We had an amazing stay at Cida´s house. We were two families, 10 people including children. You will find in the house everything you need for a comfortable stay, plus Cida advice at your request for whatever you could need (on the house itself, buy groceries, how to get to some place, etc..). Additionally, Mara is in charge of keep everything clean and sound in the outside, and can be hired for the inside if you need any kind of help. The location is great, as you are very close to Joao Fernandes and Azeda beaches (also Praia Dos Ossos, but many boats there!), so easily reachable just walking. Ferradura beach is easy to reach too taking cheap transportation to downtown and then walk for a while (you spend probably 5-10 minutes to downtown). You have direct access to Orla Bardot and Rua das Pedras walking by the seashore, very nice for sightseeing, choose where to have lunch or dinner, or just having some drinks. My only comments are the following: the 3 bedrooms in the first floor are dark and humid for our standards, don´t get me wrong, those bedrooms are very nice as the remainder ones, but for someone who came from dry weather fells like missing some daylight and fresh air. Also, we felt the WiFi connection slow, nowadays everyone and every single piece of device log to the Internet, so you can add: mobile phones, IPods, IPads, laptops plus TVs, so any connection provided will suffer big pressure!. Finally, basic cable TV is provided, and for some reason we were not able to log in to Netflix (we blame the Internet connection). In our case, those former remarks were not important, and our stay was really nice. I strongly recommend Cida´s house, you will have Buzios as it best!. Finally, I would like to thanks Cida and Mara for all their help and support, clearly they made our stay better. Hope we can come back in the near future. Sergio Vasquez - Santiago - Chile."

- "My girlfriend and I had the privilege of having Casa Cairucu all to ourselves but there was plenty of room for three couples or more. The house is well equipped with a bbq, books, snorkelling and kayaking gear, stand up paddle boards etc. The house comes with a maid who cooks delicious local cuisine and keeps the very tastefully decorated house immaculate. Harry, a local guide and friend of the owners, is also on hand to provide any information you may need. We spent most of our time reading in the hammocks or kayaking around the local area. We were luck enough to spot dolphins, golden tamarin monkeys, capuchins and many other interesting animals. I particularly recommend a walk or kayak to one of the local beaches (40 mins) Praia Vermelha which is pretty much deserted in the mornings and you really feel like you are on a desert island."

- "This was the first time I have rented a large house for a group and to do so in a foreign country can be a little daunting. Everything about this house, the pool, its managers, housekeeping, EVERYTHING was incredible. The house is well appointed and the setting stunning. Regina, the housekeeper made us the most delicious breakfast meals and arranging for a chef for dinner was very easy. There are several beaches within a 15 -20 minute walk, lots of restaurants and the shopping is an easy 20-30 minute stroll. I would like to point out that the house has such an amazing view because it is on a steep hill - meaning walking back from town or the beach was a fun exercise! Thank you for such a memorable vacation."
