Domo Deva offers a great experience, even when it rains, which happens often in this area of the Brazilian coast. Electrical power may suffer oscillations with the weather – and maybe that means the Universe is trying to tell you something? Open up to listen! In this area we do not have telephone signal, but we do have hi speed internet connection and wifi. In any case, attention is important. In rainy days the path to the river may become slippery. We recommend boots to enter the forest in that case. And it is always helpful to use mosquito repellent.

The space
In the center of Araras, shortly after entering Rua Bernardo Coutinho, the main street of Araras and where our site is also located, there is almost everything you may need, especially Deli do Ary (which has a fantastic and endless wine list), another one next door, a well-stocked bakery and butcher shop in front. There is a pharmacy, another butcher shop, a small trinket shop (next to the bakery), where you can find necessary items. There, you can get, at good prices, some extra barbecue equipment, for example.
Restaurants and bars, in order of arrival: Café de Araras, Alvorada, Afrânio, Oliveiras, Pizzaria Felicità (I think that's the name. The last 3 are together on the same sloping terrain, a little after the center on the left) Trigo, Pousada das Araras and several others, some seasonal, easy to search the internet.
Important: Be very careful on the main road to Araras. It's a two-way street, recently repaved, but somewhat narrow. ALWAYS stay in your lane, especially on curves. Be careful when crossing with buses. Drive calmly and carefully.
In Itaipava, you can also find stores (two hypermarkets, Extra and Bramil), restaurants, and shopping malls. If you don't know it, it's worth a tour of downtown Petrópolis, residential streets with historic buildings and the Imperial Museum. Not to be missed. SMOKING IS PROHIBITED THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE. IF YOU ARE SMOKING, SMOKE OUTSIDE THE HOUSE.

Other things to note
On the access road, Bernardo Coutinho, completely and well paved, drive carefully, always in your lane. The road, at some point, is narrow. Two cars can pass at a time, but you should be aware at all times.
