Villa Drottningholm is a beautiful old house from the 17th century, stunningly located close to a horsefarm and the forest right outside with a perfect recreation area. The house is fully modern, carefully restored in a light, country, scandinavian style. It has it´s nice private ground, a newly renovated guesthouse with 2 single beds and a terrace. The property offers complete privacy. The bottomfloor consists of a livingroom with a fireplace, a large kitchen with complete equipment and a fireplace, and a laundryroom. The second floor has a TV-room, three bedrooms one with a kingsize bed, the others with a singlebed in each. A balcony with view over the horse meadow. There is also a nice bathroom with a bathtub. Outside in the garden there is a sauna which you heat with firewood. There is a smaller house fulltime rented on the property. They have their own garden and are very quiet, you will hardly take any notice of them.
Communications: Lovö church is 10 min. walk from Villa Drottningholm, from where the buses take you to Brommaplan (Metrostation) Driving a car will take 20 min,unless you choose the busy early morning traffic, between 7-8 am. A more beautiful way to go to the city is taking the classical steamboat leaving from the royal castle of Drottningholm. Takes 45 min. The castle where the royal family lives, is a must to visit itself. The fantastic garden is a popular target for picnics during the summer. Lovö/Drottningholm is an island sorounded by lake Mälaren. You can rent a boat, but it´s best to be arranged in advance.
Weather: Sweden has far lot better weather than it´s rumor. May, June, July and August hare the most stabil months to enjoy the country. The evenings are light, the sun rices extremely early and sets very late. Temp, around 20-25 C. Atumn is during sep-nov with clear skyes and beatiful colours. Dec-feb we will hopefully have snow, since we love celebrating a white Christmas. It is very cosy, especially in our oldfashioned house. We go countryskiing a lot, just outside the door. When spring comes we sit outside as much as we can, enjoying the light and the sun, the barbeque-season starts and is one of the most popular way of socializing in Sweden.

- "Everything that has been written about this property sounds like a fairy tale ... well ... it´s all absolutely true! The location is simply perfect if you wish to enjoy relaxing nature and have the beautiful city of Stockholm nearby. We came by car and obviously it´s handy to have a car for shopping for groceries but it´s not strictly necessary for visiting Stockholm. You can either go by bus to Brommaplan and then continue by underground to Stockholm city (40 minutes or go to Ekero and go by "pendelbät"-ferry (55 minutes) The villa is absolutely gorgeous and has been renovated by Britt and Mats to a perfect and comfortable modern standard while at the same time keeping the 17th century atmosphere intact, thus creating a very homely feeling. The large and bright kitchen contains everything you might need when cooking own meals on holiday. There is also a utility room with a washing machine, a dryer, an ironing board, ... everything you might wish for has been provided. Very relaxed check in and check out: on our first day we were heartily welcomed by Britt and Mats and on our last day they came to see us off and to wave goodbye. The house has plenty of spaces where you can sit together or alone, both inside (there´s a wonderful balcony!) and outside. Speaking of outside: Lovö has a large deer population. When cycling around you will often encounter deer. One day I went out to hang up some kitchen towels outside, there even was a deer in the garden! 300% recommendation!"

Take a bath in the outdoor Jacussi or swim in the heated pool (4x8m. ). After the swim you can enjoy a cold drink in the relax. We also have a small gym upstairs for the Active family/person or use the sauna that are located upstairs as well. Go running in the nice surrounding or just relax infront of the fire Place with a good book.

Our house is built in three floors. On the top floor there are four bedrooms and one toilet with sink. In the master bedroom there is a fireplace located. On the entrance floor there is a kitchen, living room and a library with a piano. From the library there is an entrance to a terrace with a nice group of chairs. The terrace has stairs that lead down to the garden. A large bath room with a bathtub, shower, double sink and a heater is located in the basement. Here is also a toilet with a sink and a laundry room.
In the summer our garden offers raspberries, strawberries, rhubarbs, gooseberries and redcurrant. A trampoline, football goal and basketball goal children to play. A garage belongs to the house.

Lovely house with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in a quiet area very close to the center of Stockholm. Also near a lake for swimming (300m) and a small beach. The ocean is not far away and only 400 m (Skurusundet).

The distance to Stockholm City is only 15 min by car. By bus it would take aprox 25 minutes. It is also possible to take a boat to the arcipelago or the city of Stockholm, not far away from the house.

Our Villa is 180 square meters which occupies a property of 1,500 green and lushus square meters. It has a spacious terrace; and is suitable for a maximum of five people (2 + 3). The garden is spacious and contains a swing set, slider, trampoline (with safety net) and a hamock in the shade.

It is a quiet area with a forrest, with running trails, around the very corner. Very little traffic and fast exit to the main road to go into Stockholm. Many families live in the area. You are close to public transportation, 8 minutes walk to the bus, or train, to take you to Stockholm. If you want to go swimming, the beach and an outdoor swimming facility are only a few minutes away by car. One of Sweden's largest shopping malls, Täby Centrum, is just a few minutes away.

The Villa has three floors, with two bedrooms (1 master bedroom and 1 room for kids) and two bathrooms, as well as a 1,500 square meter garden. Our Villa is fully furnished with a Jacuzzi (spa) outside (which can be enjoyed all year), sauna area inside, outdoor Weber gas grill, Netflix / HBO, TV in every bedroom and in the living room, x-box, home theater system , alarm, Wi-Fi and a full-house Sonos audio system (including outside). The main entrance places you on the top floor, where you enter the spacious living area (80 square meters) with bathroom, living room, TV room and kitchen. The master bedroom (20 square meters) has a large closet that you will have full access to. A large glass window allows you to go to bed and wake up facing the garden. The bed is a king-size bed (180 cm x 200 cm). Enjoy a 50 "Samsung Smart TV with HBO and Netflix. The bathroom on the basement floor, has a shower, jacuzzi, sauna and a separate WC. In this area you also find the washer and dryer (Miele).

The second bedroom (18 square meters) on this floor has a bunk bed (120 cm x 200 cm, 90 x 200) with a 46 ”LCD TV, toys and a Nintendo Wii.

Welcome to a magnificent archipelago home "Furubo" in Långstrandsudd on Värmdö – a haven of peace and beauty with breathtaking views. Just a drive away from Stockholm, this villa offers an escape into tranquility in the heart of the Stockholm archipelago. Guests can also use the nearby tennis court free of charge, just a few minutes’ walk away!

Built in the late 1960s, the house offers sea views to the south and north. The interior is predominantly pine, hence the name Furubo, while the beams in the living room are likely oak. The open fireplace features stones embedded from the Stockholm archipelago.

The sauna, "Skomakar Olles stuga," was brought from Hälsingland and dates back to the 1800s. This is a converted cobbler's cottage, now a sauna with a wood-burning stove and a shower. From the sauna, you can take the steps down to the dock for a refreshing swim. The jetty is deep enough to jump and dive. A motorboat or a sailboat can moor at the jetty.

The villa has a total of five bedrooms plus a sleep shed.

The house, including the sleep shed, accommodates a total of 14 people. However, it is recommended for a maximum of 8 adults. On the upper floor, there are three bedrooms, each with two beds and beautiful views. On the lower floor, there is one bedroom with three beds and an extra room with a single bed and a bunk bed, accommodating three people. Additionally, the charming sleep shed next to the main house has two single beds, ideal for those who appreciate being close to nature. Please note that this shed does not have bathroom facilities but is conveniently located near the main house.

The villa has three toilets in total, one with a shower, and a separate shower on the lower floor. There is also a separate shower in the sauna. Welcome to our accommodation, which is located in a calm area with nature around near Stockholm city. A place designed to be able to combine work with leisure, the pulse of the city with the calm of nature, quiet recovery with sporting activities.

The entire property has been recently renovated and the rental includes a main house of 140 sqm and a separate cabin of 9 sqm which can be used as both a sleeping cabin for up to 2 people and as an office for home work. (bedroom nr 4 / Office in the description futher down)

The house stands on a large plot of land that connects to the nature reserve. On the other side of the road from the house you find the start of hiking trails, running tracks, cycle paths and several areas for barbecuing, rest, meditation and a view of Stockholm's inlet.

If you want to swim or sunbathe, you will find our bathing jetty at the popular lake Glasbrukssjön 5 minutes' walk down the street, and if you'd rather cool off in the sea, it's 5 minutes in the other direction.

15 minutes' walk down towards the canal, just next to the ocean is a boat dock and during parts of the year you can take the ferry into the city, the famus areas of Djurgården that offers all from parks, museums and restaurants to zoo and amusement parks for all ages.

Or take the ferry all the way out into the Stockholm archipelago for a adventure over the day or why not find a hotel for a night in one of the islands?

All year round, seaborne traffic in the form of municipal and private ferries runs from Nacka Strand, which you can reach by bus, car or bicycle in less than 30 minutes. There you will also find the shopping center Nacka Forum..

Take the highway 20 miutes out to the island of Värmdö and you will find cozy restaurants, zoo with swedish animals and miniature golf made in an adventure way. From Värmdö you can aslo take a ferry to the famous island of Sandhamn, the most poppular plance for swedish people to go during summer. Go there and back over the day or spend a night at the hotel som you have time to experience swedish culturre of island life.

The area of Björknäs in Nacka where the house is located has become one of Stockholm's most attractive and is mixed year-round with accommodation and summer accommodation where renting to touriststing families has become common during the summer. Here you will find friendly neighbours, a calm pace without disturbing noise and all the possibilities for activities both on the property, in the forest or on the water.

The place is a promontory out in Stockholm's inlet, and therefore the traffic here is light. At the same time, the entire plot is enclosed by fences, which means that you can feel safe letting children and pets play freely on the plot.

The house is our residence that we live in alternately and commute between our other residence in Kiruna in northern Sweden, above the Arctic Circle. The house designed to be able to spend a lot of time in, whether it is indoors or outdoors and take its inspiration from both traditional stockholm summer culture and the northen nature culture.

The large garden consists of two large lawns, two large terraces, pine and blueberry woodland, a Japanese garden under construction and a corner where soft wood chips surround a plum tree to allow an oasis of relaxation in the shade.

Multiple and large areas that create many opportunities and are connected with social areas where we draw inspiration from both archipelago and northen culture, this is not least noticeable by, among other things, the large chandelier in the living room that is hand-carved from reindeer antler with Sami craftsmanship.

Red house and white knots certainly take us to the Swedish cottage dream, but don't be fooled. Indoors there are all amenities and a wireless audio system with the latest technology to stream to TV and fast fiber connection can be controlled either via the phone or buttons, just like the lighting throughout the property.

All the rooms are newly renovated and all of them exept one have direct access via balcony doors to the terraces that goes around the entire house and allows you to follow the sun throughout the day.

From the terraces you access the large garden. Perfect for games and activities. Outdoor shower, gas grill and large wok (murikka), ping pong table and outdoor games are available for you. The area of the two large lawns will be shared with our small cabnin that you can read more about in the end futher down.

We want to create as lovely and simple a stay as possible for you, so there are both large and small towels as well as bath towels for those of you who want to swim in the lake or the sea ready together with soap, shampoo and conditioner when you arrive. - Bedroom 1: Master bedroom has a large double bed with an accompanying foldable smart-TV so you can stream your favorite series. 2 large wardrobes that hold a lot of storage and if you are traveling with small children, you can move the junior bed from bedroom number two here without any problems or place an extra bed. Open the double patio doors to let summer in in the morning.

- Bedroom 2: For one to two persons or a children's room. One bed (90 cm) for one person and one moveble junior bed (for children up to 6 years) and a travel cot if desired and upon agreement. Here we leave some toys for those of you traveling with children.

- Bedroom 3: One bed 90 cm, a desk and a large computer screen to connect a computer, phone or pad to. The only room that does not have its own doors to the terrace, but two large windows that can be opened.

- Bedroom 4/ Separate cabin/office (included):
Adjacent to the large terrace but well to itself is a separate cabin of 9 sqm which can be used as a separate bedroom or/and home office. Here there is sleeping space for 1-2 people through two 90 beds that sit together and during the day they can be used as a sofa with storage. Large computer table with two screens, camera, microphone and white board for those who need to work at home or want to play games. Has it own door with a seperate key leading out onto the wide connected terrace with stairs up to the large terrace around the main house. Enjoy your own time here if you are a teen travel with your family or a part of friends that loves to hang during the day but want separed time during night.

- Bedroom 5/ Walk-In Closet 1:
We have used one of the bedrooms in the main house as a walk-in closet. Large storage possibilities for those who rent the house for a long time and also the possibility to use as a bedroom by setting up an extra bed here. Should not be seen as a bedroom right now, but more as an opportunity to set up an extra bed if you need more people. The room has double doors to the balcony that surrounds the house, also found here. We have an good 80 cm extra bed of high quality in those cases.

- Walk-in closet 2: Perfect for clothes and bags that need to be put away during your stay.

The villa is situated in 3600m2 with breath taking surroundings and seaview, the Baltic sea is almost at the doorstep. Large garden with terrace, pool area, jacuzzi for six persons and pool house with many different sitting areas. The rear of the house, the Garden and pool area is south facing hence sun shines all day long.

The owners were so welcoming and provided everything we needed, taking the time to show us around their home and the local area. The house itself is within sight of the sea on a very quiet lane and the garden and pool provided plenty of room for our boys to enjoy themselves. The island is tranquil and we enjoyed being able to explore the area by bike. There is a very useful mini supermarket only 5 minutes away by bicycle where you can get most things you need. The nearest local town, Vaxholm, happens to be the central hub of the Stockholm archipelago. We drove there by car in less than 10 minutes and visited a number of times by bicycle where the super-frequent car ferry enables you to explore Rindö and Scarpö. There's a great restaurant at the far end of Rindö and lots of quiet swimming spots on both islands should you fancy a dip. One of the best experiences was hiring kayaks from the canoeing centre only a mile away. It's a stunning area and especially attractive from the sea. The house is lovely. Plenty of space, very comfortable and very well equipped for any family. We would highly recommend Shayne and Anna's very special home, not least because they are so keen that you enjoy everything Stockholm has to offer."

We stayed here for 10 days with our 2 grown-up kids and especially enjoyed the vacation-feeling in the house and on the island but were also happy about the closeness to Stockholm! The ferry goes every 2 hours and is connected to the subway system.
