This beautiful home is now available for the discerning traveller who really appreciates luxury surroundings, furniture, paintings, decor and high quality equipment, set in a calm and wonderful setting.

Torreira is a small, but cute seaside town, with good restaurants, cafes and a great beach. There is plenty to do in the area. Watersports, golf, horse riding, boating/sailing, beaches, and lots of great restaurants and wonderful pastry shops.

Nearby is the bigger town of Aveiro, often called the 'Portuguese Venice' with its myriad of internal waterways and the iconic boats that travel within (see pictures)

There is plenty to do, in the area, water-sports, fishing, cycling, boating, eating, drinking, etc.

It's location is ideal as a base to tour around the country with visits to Porto and Braga easily within reach as aday trips.The seaside resort of Figueira do Foz is also worth a visit

Essentially the house is on one level - has 4 bedrooms and a large office study and a spare room normally used for the housekeeper ( ideal for a single adult or older child)

There is a large lounge with fireplace and equipped with a Bang and Olufsen CD player & TV

There is also a 'quiet' corner - where guests can sit and read or can play a multitude of board games including chess and checkers.

On an elevated area is an excellent dining area, with comfortable seating for up to 10 guests

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything that we can think of that you might need and there is a separate utility room.

Nice quality outdoor furniture is provided and ample dining space for up to 10 people

- "A wonderful house, conveniently located in a beautiful surrounding. António and Fernando were very kind and helpful." - "This was truly a surprise for us. Reccommended by a Portuguese friend living in London, it sounded like the perfect spot. Not over run with tourists, mainly a second holiday home destination for affluent Portuguese, nice cafes, restaurants and wonderful long white sand unspoiled beaches.....it sounded like heaven. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised......the beaches were more wonderful in real life and the little town of Torreira was very pleasant and friendly and relaxed. There are many cafes and good restaurants - a great treat is a place 5 minutes by car called 'A Peixeira' recommended by our host Fernando Regina. Delicious and very reasonable cost. We also visited the VERY cute town of Aveiro - they have gondola style boats and inner canals in the town....very 'Venitian'! A day trip to Porto took 35 minutes and the airport is about 45 minutes drive. The house itself was SUCH a pleasure! Well appointed, luxuriously appointed, nice quality items like Bang & Olufsen TV and Stereo. The bathrooms are solid marble and the bedrooms were all comfortable. Although it was 29 degrees one day there was no need for aircon due to the house being right on the edge of the coast and the wonderful sea breeze. But for me the 'winner' was the outdoor space. Wonderful pool, great seating area with built in BBQ made for a very nice place to have dinner or lunch. The gardens were beautifully looked after and very large - the kids loved it. All in all this was a wonderful surprise and very different ( in a good way) from our normal Algarve trip. We have actually booked to go back in August and we thank Fernando and Regina for their warm welcome and VERY helpful support/advice during our stay."
