The laundry service was very fairly priced - it cost us the same to have the staff wash our laundry for us at this hotel as it cost for us to do it ourselves at another hotel that we had stayed at on the same trip. I would definitely stay here again. My one complaint is that the curtains in the bedroom were sheer so the room did not get completely dark at night which made it a little difficult for me to fall asleep and also did not provide much privacy. The location is very convenient for exploring the area. Arles is a short drive away and Pont Du Gard is also within an easy drive."

Saintes Maries de la Mer is a lovely place for a vacation (with small children) and the apartment of Julie is the perfect accommodation there. We are already planning on coming back next year. A full tin of coffee bags willbe available for the Senseo machine, sugar and a litre of milk, Also olive oil, sunflower oil, ablsamic vinegar, salt and pepper in the kitchen. The only thing we can't offer our guests is German coffee. You'll have to bring your own.

The house is on a close 4000 m², tidy property, in a beautiful garden. The small house has 67 m² and it is ideally decorated and equipped. The living and dining room accommodate up to 5 people, and have a Sat-TV, a DVD player, and a stereo system. Internet access is possible. There is a very beautiful, American kitchen with ceramic stove top, baking oven and dish washer, microwave, extraction hood, refrigerator with freezer, vacuum cleaner, Senseo coffee machine. You will also find a modern pool with counter current flow and massage jet. There are many places where you can sit and relax on the property. There is a nice grilling place under a big fig tree, where you can relax. There is also a large place for petanque amateurs.

Les Mazets is a separate gated resort in the Village Camarguais 800 metres from the main reception. Check whether you have access to the on-site activites before booking if you want to use them. The apartment could do with a bit of decoration touching up but the garden area was well-kept and a partly covered terrace made eating out pleasant.. Wi-Fi was said to be available for 5euros per day by paying Wifipassman which we did not do. One hour per day free wi-fi is available in reception however. "

Sorry I forgot to open the window to start the "airing out" when I headed out at the end. I was distracted about facing a long travel day to Paris. The space
The apartment is a short walk from the Arènes, close to all shops and restaurants (including Place Voltaire).

You also have nearby parking lots (Bd Emile Combes or the SNCF train station for free parking)

I made sure to put some personal touches in the studio to make it unique. The table and console come from my carpenter, made to measure, I kept the original canopy when purchasing the building which splits the studio into two living spaces, put a silent ceiling fan to bring the necessary freshness on hot days and put an induction motor washing machine for silent use even in spin, insulated the ceiling so as not to have nuisances from the apartment above.

These may be just details, but when combined will make your stay as pleasant as possible

Parking / Access: The rental is located in old Arles, with access limited to residents only year-round. You can park at 10 Bd Emile Combes and then walk, you will be 200 m from the accommodation.

And I'm only talking about places within a 15-minute drive, let's not forget the Luberon or the Calanques of Marseille, accessible within an hour's drive.


However, without mentioning these magnificent assets, the city itself is incredibly rich. Its narrow streets with flowery facades, its quays along the Rhône but above all a crazy density of ancient/medieval monuments to visit (Arenas, Ancient Theatre, Ancient Roman Baths, Roman Necropolis, Medieval Cloister...) within a 15-minute walk.

But also an incredible cultural offering with no less than 4 public museums (Arlatan, Arles Antique, Réattu, Camargue), a private museum (Van Gogh Foundation), a contemporary art foundation (Lee Ufan) and the Luma Foundation Workshop Park with its many exhibition spaces.

Something to fill your days! And even more to enjoy the terraces offered by the many squares of the city, the best known being Place Voltaire, Place du Forum or Place Paul Doumer and then indulge in one of the many restaurants in the city. The gastronomic offer is varied and of quality!

As you can see, Arles is clearly not made to be visited in two days, you have to take the time to do everything, and since everything is done with relaxation and gentleness, it encourages you even more not to rush.
