Cloudland sits proud on one of Blackheath's most prestigious streets. This brilliant property is close to Govetts Leap Lookout and only a short walk to the village with all its great cafe's, restaurants and galleries. If the world famous bush walks and views are not your thing, Centennial Glen Stables or Dryridge Estate Winery in Megalong Valley is literally the next suburb away.
There is no shortage of activities nearby but you may just choose to sit on deck and admire the exquisite garden with its assortment of rhododendrons and year-round seasonal flora.
Naturally, we have Rinnai gas heating and Platinum Foxtel but we also supply quality linen, towels, coffee/twinings tea, hotwater bottles and candles are provided. We also provide some goodies which will make your stay even more comfortable. Free WIFI is available.
The apartment has two very large bedrooms, each with it own ensuite ensuring total privacy for each couple: a lounge room and a modern kitchen/living space with Fisher & Paykel Fridge/Dishwasher & Microwave.A Weber BBQ has been introduced located right of wooden door front entry.It is suitable for two couples or a small family.

Blackheath Suite is in a peaceful area close to Centennial Glen Creek with spectacular bush walks accessible at the end of the road and Paul Harris Lookout close by. It’s just a short 5-minute stroll to Blackheath village and Blackheath railway station, meaning amenities are easy to reach, with or without a vehicle.
The village has an array of bars, shops, supermarkets and restaurants, but if you want to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains, take a walk along the scenic Grand Canyon Walking Trail, or head for Govetts Leap Lookout - a stunning observation area with panoramic valley views, picnic tables and a visitor centre.
Dining Out
Although you have access to a BBQ and kitchenette at the suite, you may wish to dine out during your stay. There are several restaurants within a short walk of the property including a pizza takeaway, a global upscale restaurant, Thai restaurant, bakeries and delicatessens.
Getting Around
It’s easy to navigate the area by car, on foot and via bicycle, however, if you don’t wish to drive or don’t feel too energetic, most Blackheath and Blue Mountain tourist attractions can be accessed by taxi or local bus/train.
Blackheath has a train station, 5 minutes’ walk from the property, with regular trains arriving and departing from Bathurst and Lithgow, stopping at Blackheath on route to Redfern Central and vice versa.
Buses also operate within walking distance of the suite; local routes are available and regular coaches arrive in the town from Sydney via Katoomba.
Nearby Activities
Outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers will adore the surrounding areas near Blackheath Suite.
Trek along the Grand Canyon Walking Trail – a 6-kilometre loop track flanked by ferns, sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and rainforests or discover beautiful flowers in season at Campbell Rhododendron Gardens which has some great dog-friendly walks.
Guests can experience majestic sunsets across the Blue Mountains from Govetts Leap or venture as far as scenic Beauchamp Falls deep in the range.

There’s something about the Blue Mountains that gets inside your soul. It’s all about taking time to explore this incredibly scenic part of the world and an opportunity to stop, take a deep breath and let the natural beauty transform you. Spectacular Sunrises at Govetts Leap lookout and Sunsets nearby at Hargraves Lookout. Mrs McCalls is a 5 minute walk to the village centre and less than a 10 minute walk to Blackheath train station. For hikers and climbers - Blackheath is a fantastic base.
The space
Step back in time in a piece of Blackheath’s history. What was once McCall's General Store is now your Blue Mountains accommodation. McCalls is a light filled studio and is open plan. Experience the original floorboards and soaring ceilings. Mrs McCalls is well insulated, air conditioned with a gas fireplace.
The property has changed hands since 1880. In 1938 a sketched map of Blackheath indicates that a building on site existed as “McCalls Baker”. The store enjoyed continuous use from the period of 1940-1972 and is considered to have social significance during and post war in Blackheath.
McCalls is a perfect place to relax and unwind and is ideally suited for couples, solo travellers or a couple of friends. Maximum guests are 2.

Spectacular views are available from this comfortable and separate 2 bedroom lower floor of my home, with toaster, fridge, kettle and micro. World class Govetts Leap lookout and bushwalks are a short walk away. Explore the village's restaurants, wine bars, cafes, antique shops - Mt. Vic Flicks is only 10 min. drive. Enjoy a private residence in the heart of Blackheath. Be surrounded by gum trees which host an array of birdlife. Spectacular Sunrises at Govetts Leap look out down the road and Sunsets nearby at Hargraves Lookout. The lounge room has a leather L seater chaise and you will have access to free WIFI and Netflix, Stan, Disney+, Amazon Prime and other networks through the smart TV. The lounge room also has a sliding door which can be closed.
You will experience a king sized bed with a luxurious mattress with quality bed linen. The lounge area is seperate from the bedroom.
We have a kitchenette but NO INDOOR COOKING facilities. (We do have a bbq and 1 gas burner out on the patio). We have glasses, bowls & plates, cutlery, chopping boards, pots and pains etc. We also have a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle.
Woodchoppers was affected heavily by flooding in March 2021 and was closed off for 6 weeks. New wooden flooring was laid and some aesthetic changes were made.
The bathroom was renovated in August of 2021 and was my little Covid project.
The patio has a 4 seater dining set. We have a bbq with 1 gas side burner. We provide bbq wipes and a brush to ensure the bbq is always clean for the next use.
