Attractive and comfortable furniture, well equipped kitchen and even a stock of supplies in the pantry. Our host left us a welcome gift of some snacks and a lovely bottle of bubbly - very thoughtful. The apartment is a very short walk to Moseley Square for the tram to the city, close to the beach with a nice view of the water. The only minor issue was that the TV is not a smart TV so we couldn't watch any streaming, just the free to air stations - didn't bother us enough to affect this review but others may find it limiting. I must make mention of the fact that we had our luggage and arrived before checkin time - very kindly we were allowed to leave our bags and also those of our friends who were staying in another apartment in the building. Our apartment is Unit 1 on the lower floor in the Stirling Building and it is one of the oldest buildings in Glenelg.
Built in 1880 as 2 townhouses it underwent a facelift around 1940 to be made into 5 apartments and sweeping external staircases where built. The property has an art decor building now.
We have decorated our apartment to combine the heritage and design feature over the life of the building, of course adding the desired modern features now.

Besides being walking distance to everything Glenelg has to offer, getting into Adelaide CBD couldn't be easier with the tram running between Glenelg and the City every 20 minutes. There is also a main bus hub in Glenelg and stops all along Anzac Highway across from the apartment that can connect you to almost everywhere else!

Other Things to Note:
The starter amenities packs are there to assist in your arrival process, however these items are not replenished during your stay. For extended stays you may need to purchase more of these items, such as toilet paper and milk.

The carpark is located at the end of the driveway of the building. Off street parking is available for one car only. Please note, it is a very tight carpark and there is only 1 allocated space available per apartment, so you must only park in the space marked with your apartment number. The height of the lowest point of this specific apartment carpark is 1.9 metres. Cars with roof racks will not fit under our carport, but most standard size 4WD and SUVs will fit. Additional cars or visitors to the property must park on the street. There is free parking available in the surrounding side streets, but not directly out the front of the building, which is ticketed.

For extended stays over 21+ nights, mid-stay servicing is required for the upkeep of the property. We will notify you if this is due to occur during your stay.

- "The apartment is ideal with a short walk to the beach, the jetty and shops and a lovely view of the Wigley Reserve outside the window. Couldnt be happier with the location and the ground floor apartment. The parking is very tight but you advised it would be, but again happy that the vehicle was off the street. Can get a little noisy on the weekends with noisy revellers outside the window and sirens but blinds etc were perfect and we felt safe. We requested additional linen during our stay and the promptness and efficiency of our request was unbelievable. We had an immediate email back from the property management and new linen within hours. We were blown away with the help that we received. Thank you so much. LIABILITY
• Your belongings are not covered by our insurance if damaged, lost, stolen or destroyed.
• The host accepts no responsibility or liability for damage or injury in any way which you or any member of your party may suffer in connection with the accommodation.

OUR GUESTS

DAMAGE & LOST KEYS
• If you accidentally break anything in the apartment during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible.

It was designed as two self-contained, 15 room summer residences for Sir Henry Ayers and Sir Thomas Elder, when both were in their late fifties. Ayers made his fortune from the Burra Copper Mines that secured the wealth and future of the colony of South Australia. Uluru - Ayers Rock in the Northern Territory is named in his honor. Elder was a pastoralist, businessman, philanthropist and politician. Ayers inhabited the northern side and Elder the southern. The open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area have a great view into the outdoor courtyard and over the greenery of the reserve across the road. High ceilings and a large bedroom provides a homely feeling of spaciousness.

The bedroom features a very comfortable King sized bed. A portacot is also available at the property for guest use, however please note, we do not supply linen or bedding for the portacot.

A new reverse cycle air conditioner has recently been installed to the lounge area and bedroom, so you can feel comfortable all year round.

The funky retro bathroom features a shower over footbath, toilet and laundry all in one. There are two towels supplied per guest. So you can travel light, we also supply bar soap, hotel size shampoo/conditioner and a hairdryer.

The street directly behind the property is the best place to park, and you can access property from the back entrance.

No Smoking in our unit, but there are smoking stations located outside.
Bathroom has a wonderful new rain shower, wide vanity, and W/C with quality shower gels, soaps and shampoo included.
And all linen is there for you, pillows with pillow protectors, sheets, blankets (washed regularly) towels and tea towels. Your bed will be made up for your arrival.

In the heart of the beautiful Adelaide seaside village of Glenelg, our newly renovated, gorgeous three-bedroom apartment has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable short or long-term stay. The location is unbeatable, with the beach, cafes, shops, restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance.

The space
The apartment is located on the second floor, up two flights of stairs and can sleep up to 6 (sofa bed on request can be used and may incur an additional charge). It has three bedrooms (two bedrooms with a queen bed in each and one with a single plus single trundle bed), all with built-in wardrobes and ceiling fans. The reverse cycle air conditioner is in the main living area.

The spacious open-plan dining and living room has access to a private balcony, while the brand new, fully equipped kitchen features a dishwasher, gas cooker, electric oven, microwave and fridge. There’s also a bright, modern, newly renovated bathroom. There is a communal laundry downstairs and off-street reserved parking available for one car.

This is a great location to explore all that Glenelg has to offer. The pristine sandy beach is just a 10-minute walk away, nearby Jetty Road precinct is jam-packed with eating and drinking options, as well as great shopping, and The Beachouse family entertainment complex will help keep the kids entertained. Other activities include walking and biking tracks, snorkelling, fishing charters and dolphin sailing tours. The Adelaide CBD is just a 25-minute tram ride away, while a short drive down the coast is the world-renowned wine region of McLaren Vale.

A convenient 5 minute walk to Jetty Road and Moseley Square, full of trendy cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, and public transport. Just a 250m stroll to 'golden mile' esplanade and pristine beach.
