The stylish apartment is reached by a short flight of steps to the front door. Formerly a military barracks, this grade II listed building has been converted into a gated residential community. The property is laid out on two floors, the entrance floor: boasts a large open plan living space with kitchen, dining and lounge, stylishly furnished with huge Georgian windows and high ceilings. The floor below comprising of 3 double bedrooms 1 with ensuite and a family 4 piece bathroom. The apartment is a 5 minute walk to the Gosport ferry which takes you to Portsmouth and Gunwharf Quays. Approx 5 minute journey which runs 24 hrs. The beach is a 20 minute walk away. There is one car parking space provided. No vans are allowed.

The Georgian Apartment is a large Georgian Grade 2 listed two-storey 2 bedroomed apartment accommodating large 5ft king size zip and link double beds (which can convert to create 2 singles if required) with crisp white towels laid out on beds for the number of guests staying. An additional guest could possibly be accommodated on a fold out camp bed (suitable for a child) therefore possibly sleeping up to 5 guests in total.
The main bathroom has a splendid roll top bath with shower over, toilet, wash hand basin and vinyl flooring and off the hallway is a modern shower room with corner shower, toilet and wash hand basin.
The kitchen is well fitted with modern oak style units, practical laminate tiled flooring, modern worktops, a large range style cooker, dishwasher, microwave and all other essential mod cons etc.
The large 1st floor south facing lounge has 3 picture windows overlooking the paved square in front of the town hall and library with 1 settee and 2 armchairs, plus additional seating, plus a large flat screen smart TV.
Free off road parking is available for 1 car which is rare to find in the centre of town plus up to 2 additional off road parking spaces can be hired upon request at a cost of £25 per week.
All bedding and towelling is provided, with a mid term maid cleaning service available on request. Additional linen is available at £25 per set to include 1 medium bath towel.
A child cot and highchair are available at no extra cost, plus The Georgian Apartment has the option of fitting 2 child gates to doorways, but unfortunately these cannot be fitted onto the Grade 2 listed staircase. (If cots are provided guests are asked to please bring their own child's bedding).
The Georgian Apartment is pet friendly and we warmly welcome up to 2 medium sized well behaved four legged friends at an additional cost of £25 each per dog, per week/part week. (However, to be fair to our neighbours no continuous barkers please).

- "Initially difficult to locate, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the apartment and the facilities provided - all one could need in order to be 'self-sufficient'. The two let-downs though were the bedroom wardrobe, which was rather old and dilapidated, and the hand basin in the bathroom, which was damaged on the left side and needed to be replaced. The Continental Breakfast was quite adequate, though nothing special. Heather though was incredibly friendly and helpful!"

This is a modern 1 bedroom apartment with all modern facilities. The property is on the first floor entered by a communal stairs and landing. Once in your property there is a hall with a linen closet with spare bedding, duvet and pillows for the sofa bed (for your guests) and coat hook. To the right you will find the kitchen/ dinner and living room. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes all cooking facilities and equipment to include, washing machine and large fridge freezer. The lounge is equipped with all furnishing to be comfortable and homely with smart TV and network points for any devices you may have. The whole property is heated through underfloor heating via air source heat pump and each room has its own control to set the temperatures individually through the apartment. It has a very light and spacious feel thanks to high vaulted ceilings with velux windows in the lounge kitchen and bedroom.
The bathroom has a large walk in shower with both a rain shower and shower wand. It is a Jack and Jill entrance system so can be used as the day toilet or en-suite to the bedroom. The bedroom again has a smart TV and large double bed with high vaulted ceilings. It has network and 240 volt points on each bedside. In the apartment you will find all the details of emergency numbers, taxis, ferry terminal, take ways, restaurants, wifi passwords etc.
There is parking available on request for small to medium cars, there is a locked bike store available to residents only FOC and also immediately opposite is a public carpark which is free at night and has a very reasonable day rate.
The apartment itself is less that 2 minutes walk to the high street and 4 minute walk to Gosport Ferry taking you into Portsmouth City. If you are working in Portsmouth it has a shorter commute in time than many apartments directly in Portsmouth with the added advantage of a pleasant commute across Portsmouth Harbour.

- "Had a very nice stay here. The apartment is very nice and spacious and is a very short walk from the Gosport High street and the ferry to Portsmouth. The host was fantastic and communicated well. Our flight to the UK was delayed by a day, robbing us of 1 full day of our vacation, the host offered another night (which we didn't end up needing) but allowed us to leave our bags at the apartment while we went out to finish seeing some sights on our last day. This meant a lot to us as we didn't need to worry about lugging our bags to the dockyard, or finding somewhere to store them. We got our trip right back on schedule due to Ben's kindness. I do have a couple Opportunities for Improvement. It was quite hot when we arrived, with the temperature in the apartment over 30C, we had to open all the windows for most of our stay as it remained hot. One night we were there they neighbors were outside until the early hours, making it a little difficult to sleep. A small air conditioner, or even a portable fan would help greatly. Also the mattress isn't great and a replacement would be a good idea. "

The Granary is a desired 2 bedroom apartment within the impressive ‘Granary and Bakery' built in the late 1820's and recently converted into modern dwellings. The building is situated within the former Royal Navy's Clarence Yard in the southern coastal town of Gosport, England, a seaside peninsular with over 24 miles of waterfront access. 5 minutes walk into Gosport town center you are then only a short 4 minute ferry ride to Portsmouth and Gunwharf Quays, a wonderful cosmopolitan quayside complex with over 90 designer retail outlets plus 30 odd cafés, restaurants and bars all sat on the harbour entrance.
It is located on the 2nd floor with views over Portsmouth Harbour to Portsdown Hill beyond and is serviced with a lift to aid those not so physically mobile.
There are 2 very good sized bedrooms, 1 spacious bathroom, a good sized lounge/diner/kitchen and the apartment benefits from an allocated parking space plus additional parking for visitors.
The large open plan lounge/kitchen/diner has 2 picture windows overlooking the landscaped courtyard and harbour with a large leather corner sofa, dining table and 4 chairs and TV, PS3, DVD player/recorder, radio/bluetooth speaker.
The kitchen is well fitted with modern beech style units, practical tiled flooring, modern worktops, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and all other essential mod cons.
Off the main entrance hallway is the master bedroom with a large 5ft king size double bed with all bedding and towels supplied, TV and I-pod docking station and the 2nd bedroom has another large 5ft king size double bed which can spilt to create 2 singles if preferred.
The bathroom is wall to wall tiled with a large bath and shower over, toilet, wash hand basin and tiled floor. Crisp white towels are provided for each guest and are laid out on beds prior to your arrival.
All linen and towels are provided and are changed weekly with a mid week maid service available on request. Child cots and highchairs are also available at no extra cost. (If cots are provided guests are asked to please bring their own child bedding).
All our properties are located within residential areas so we do have neighbours whom we need to consider. If you feel you could comfortably monitor noise levels then we would love to have you stay and have had countless gatherings who have had a great time with us at our properties. If however you feel that it would not be possible to monitor noise levels, then we would have to recommend you consider something more rural, without neighbours.
In addition to the rental cost we do take a £250 refundable damages deposit, which is fully refundable within 7 working days of your departure, obviously subject to no significant damages or excessive cleaning.
Some of our properties have age restrictions, such as where we feel it would not be suitable for younger all adult groups, such as within quiet residential areas where noise may be an issue.

- "The history in Gosport and Portsmouth is quite amazing and this unit provides a perfect spot to explore both sides of the harbour and easily get to the Isle of Wight (catamaran, hovercraft or car ferry). The ten minute walk to the ferry makes it easy to get to Portsmouth; we didn't bother using our car once and in fact noted next time we will simply take the train down. Anyone interested in naval history - back to Henry VIII - will enjoy this location. The Mary Rose museum and Victory are steeped in history, as are the dock yard areas on both sides and the other ships that can be explored. The Granary apartment was a perfect peaceful base for our adventures."

There is plenty to do within a 10-15 minute walk of your front door!
Wander through history at the Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower (10min walk) or The Royal Navy Submarine Museum (20min walk), two of the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard's museums on the Gosport side, or catch the ferry to Portsmouth Harbour and meander the main grounds. There is so much to learn and experience, if you're a history buff I strongly suggest taking at least two days and getting an Explorer's Pass to really be able to take your time with the different ships, museums, exhibits, and shopping! Speaking of shopping, the Gunwharf Quays is also a short walk from the Portsmouth Harbour station and is the South coast's leading designer shopping outlet: home to over 90 famous brands!
Also at the Explosion Museum you will also find a cafe, an art shop, and the Powder Monkey Pub/Brewery, perfect for fans of local craft drinks and food.
Arty's Restaurant is just to the right as you leave, as is the Pump House for tea/coffee/brunch or walk a little further to the Boathouse on the marina have a cocktail or some lunch while taking in the stunning views. The Old Bakehouse Pub is to your left as you exit your front door- a lovely place for a dinner and great views of the Spinnaker as it changes colours, or to catch a game at the bar!
The nearest supermarket is the Aldi on Mumby Rd, about a 15 minute walk- if you are coming from the ferry terminal though it's along the way!

This is a modern 1 bedroom apartment with all modern facilities. The property is on the first floor entered by a communal stairs and landing. There is parking available on request for small to medium cars, there is a locked bike store available to residents only FOC and also immediately opposite is a public carpark which is free at night and has a very reasonable day rate.

The space
Once in your property there is a hall with a linen closet with spare bedding, duvet and pillows for the sofa bed (for your guests) and coat hook. To the right you will find the kitchen/ dinner and living room. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes all cooking facilities and equipment to include, washing machine and large fridge freezer. The lounge is equipped with all furnishing to be comfortable and homely with smart TV and network points for any devices you may have. The whole property is heated through underfloor heating via air source heat pump and each room has its own control to set the temperatures individually through the apartment. It has a very light and spacious feel thanks to high vaulted ceilings with velux windows in the lounge kitchen and bedroom.
The bathroom has a large walk in shower with both a rain shower and shower wand. It is a Jack and Jill entrance system so can be used as the day toilet or en-suite to the bedroom. The bedroom again has a smart TV and large double bed with high vaulted ceilings. It has network and 240 volt points on each bedside. In the apartment you will find all the details of emergency numbers, taxis, ferry terminal, take ways, restaurants, wifi passwords etc.

Free off road parking is available for 1 car which is rare to find in the centre of town plus up to 2 additional off road parking spaces can be hired upon request at a cost of £25 per week.
