- "The flat is right in the middle of the village on the Main Street it is in the basement of an old building with Thyme and Plaice café restaurant above the flat. The flat is accessed via a walkway to the slide and turn left and left again. The layout is lounge and kitchen one end and bedrooms and bathroom at the other end. There is a small courtyard garden. There is some small amount of noise from the cafe from the main bedroom but only from around 9am so we did not find it a problem and the cafe is excellent so just get up and go upstairs for breakfast Overall it is a lovely flat in the Highlands with great hosts"

This self catering flat stands in our family’s Sutherland croft, approximately 153 metres above sea level. Electric central heating throughout. Lounge/kitchen has hob, oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, pans, cutlery and crockery, table and chairs, TV, Wi-Fi, sofa and armchair. Bedroom has kingsize bed. Arran Aromatics products for shower and washbasin. All linen provided.

Guests are free to stroll up the back field, and from there on to the beautiful open hill country.

Other things to note
Due to the recent increases in serious wildfires throughout the Highlands, guests must be very careful not start fires through disposal of cigarette-ends when out of doors. Smoking is strictly forbidden in The Stroops.
