- "My girlfriend and I chose this place to be close to an event. This place was priced right and was in a peaceful area but also very close to amenities and restaurants. For those who know of Zak’s restaurant, Carleton Place has one now. Our hosts was prompt with communication and the room was clean and comfy. Chromecast worked great for snuggling and watching movies. The only issue we had was with the fridge when we checked in. It didn’t appear to be cold. I turned it up to max (7) and it took some time but it did make things cold enough and the freezer at the bottom of the fridge kept our ice cream frozen solid. Prior to the fridge cooling I kind of panicked and ran to Walmart and bought a cooler and bags of ice to keep drinks and the ice cream cold and I mentioned the issue and my quick solution. The host offered to bring in a contractor to look at the fridge because it had been working the day prior but also offered to reimburse me for the cooler costs. In the end the fridge did keep things cool and meeting the host when we were loading the car, I said don’t worry about reimbursement because we will keep the cool and as long as the fridge says on max it was working. We thanked her for everything. I received an email with reimbursement for the cooler anyways which I would say is above and beyond and great customer service. We also left two rolls of paper towel for the next guests along with a roll of aluminum foil that we used for wrapping pizza. 😊"

Latakia Tay Basin Waterfront Maisonette is located in the heart of Perth!
This is a very special European style “maisonette” apartment, built in an 1864 historic property in Downtown Heritage Perth. There is a private entryway and one flight of stairs leading to this beautiful Parisian style unit featuring a comfortable king size bed.
The kitchen and a sitting nook are on the lower level and the upper level is the entire third floor of the building, including the living / dining room, bedroom & bathroom, with a sweeping view of the beautiful Tay Basin. There is a 170-year-old exposed stone wall in the living room!
We provide all of the necessities including linens, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine. All utensils, cookware etc are provided. Internet is free along with an HD Smart TV .
Blackout curtains in all rooms so our guests can have a good night sleep

The neighbourhood: our Latakia unit is located diagonally across the street from the Town Hall in central heritage Perth. The building backs onto the Tay River Basin so you can bring your ‘water toys’. We are just steps away from the Crystal Palace reception hall for special events and weddings.

Our super clean cozy private entrance guest suite just off the 416 in the quaint small town of Kemptville (20 min from Ottawa) can often host last minute bookings. The suite is separated from the rest of the house by a locked door and there are no shared spaces. The self contained suite has a queen-sized bed, 2 TVs, couch, chair, desk, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee-maker. On the main level of a bungalow. Not in a basement! 10 foot ceilings, tons of light! Must have car, no uber, no transit.

The space
This private suite with private entrance features beautiful natural maple floors and 10 foot ceilings throughout. It is located in a beautiful, safe golf course community.

The spacious bathroom has a privacy lock, 5 foot glass shower and granite counters.

The bedroom has a privacy lock, plush queen sized bed, blackout curtains, a 40" TV and a walk in closet complete with an iron, ironing board and steamer and iron combo. Get ready in style for 18 holes or a nearby wedding.

The den features leather furniture, a desk area and a microwave, coffee maker, kettle and bar fridge as well as a 55' smart TV. We provide a variety of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Please note there is no access to the main part of the house and the kitchen. you have your private space and we have ours!

There are no rooms above or below the unit and all walls which adjoin our living spaces have had soundproofing insulation professionally installed. The door separating the main part of the house from the suite is solid core. This does not eliminate all noise but it is very quiet and private.

Hosts live on site and strive to provide a great guest experience. We live in the same house and are a family of 4 all of whom are adults. We have 2 dogs Henry and Poe, a small Maltese and a Labrador Retriever. You may hear the coming and goings of our family but we try to provide a peaceful space for guests. The suite is totally private and we will never enter during your stay.

You must park on the street but there is plenty of free parking nearby on the street.

Located 25 minutes from Ottawa. There is no public transit to Ottawa and no taxi or uber service here. It is only suitable for guests with their own vehicle.

The home is located in the beautiful Golf resort community of Equinelle. It is close to the 416 and 25 minutes from Ottawa and an ideal stop for those on road trips who may want to visit a beautiful small Ontario community. There are numerous trails nearby including Ferguson Forest which has numerous hiking trails and a spot to launch a kayak or paddle board. There is a small pond across the street with a circular walking path.

Feel free to use one of the parking spaces to the right of the lot (space 3 or 4). Access the unit from the back door or from the King St E entrance. The studio apartment is all yours during your stay. Coin-operated laundry is across the hall and works on looneys; there is laundry soap and dryer balls in the cupboard behind the front door. Spare linens, towels, and a fully equipped kitchen are also provided. Access to the collaborative workspace for an additional fee upon request.

Other things to note
Please be mindful of our tenants. Lock the external doors when you're away from the building or gone to bed. We've stocked a few necessities if you need them. Enjoy your stay!

Work or relax in this bright apartment, includes toys, junior mattress and infant bed, near Bridge Street and Centennial Park where you can swim, rent paddleboards, stroll along the trails, shop and come back to a clean place with a fenced backyard, high-speed Fibe internet to work or stream on Roku TV, cooking options indoors and out (seasonal). Guests park in a private driveway off of Joseph Street and enter through the sunroom overlooking the backyard garden. Separate keyless entry into carpeted living room and open concept kitchenette. Two spacious carpeted bedrooms with options to put down a junior floor mattress or use the portable infant bed. One bedroom has a work desk with an ethernet Fibe cable. Central heat and air conditioning. There is a Roku TV and an assortment of toys and puzzles. The seasonal sunroom has a large table and two comfortable chairs for when the weather is warm. Smoking is not allowed inside. The large back garden is privacy fenced and has a BBQ and firepit which you can use.

Pets can be considered on a case by case basis: they are to be supervised when in the apartment - not left alone unless they are kept in their carriers. They are not allowed on furniture. It is a carpeted space so any animals with house-breaking issues should be restricted to the sunroom; dogs are welcome in the back yard but please collect and discard any feces.

There are no laundry facilities on site. There is a good, coin-operated laundromat 3 km away. For extended stays, we can discuss taking your laundry to our home for washing and drying.

Guests have one parking space in the driveway and more street parking is available. Please look for guest parking signage. The apartment and sunroom are for the exclusive use of guests. The large back yard is shared with our family though we can discuss special occasions when you would like sole use of it. The apartment is accessed from stairs and is not wheel chair accessible.

Other things to note
We remind guests that the kitchenette has many emenities but does not have a full range. We provide a Ninja Foodi oven, microwave, induction cooktop, toaster, coffee maker and electric tea kettle. In summertime, we can provide an electric outdoor BBQ for your use.

Also, we provide an HDMI cable which can be used with the Roku TV if you want to stream from your computer; you can also bring your own game consoles/controllers. There are many free streaming options on the Roku; we do not subscribe to cable services.

Please note the apartment is on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building. Guests with mobility challenges might have a hard time with the stairs.

A) If Arriving BY CAR on Highway 401
Take exit 696 Hwy 29/Stewart Boulevard South
Follow this street south until one block before the river you cross Water St. We are immediately on your right with the blue and gold pillars and 2 cannon in front and our large parking lot beside it. Park anywhere that does not have a reserved sign.

Don't be alarmed that Stewart Boulevard changes name to William St. then to Court House Terrace as it snakes left around the Court House then Court House Avenue as it turns right to continue south and changes name yet again to Broad St. as you pass the lights at King St.

B) If arriving BY TRAIN
We are only a few blocks from the station. Taxis will be waiting at the station. Ask to go to 20 Broad St. (a short inexpensive trip 613 342-2000)

C) If Arriving BY AIR via Ottawa International
We are about an hour away Brockville Executive Taxi at 613 342 2000 can provide shuttle service

The entire apartment is brand new, from the flooring to the kitchen to the beautiful 1000 Islands decor and is awaiting your arrival!

Guests have access to one parking space (extras if necessary) right next to the door to the apartment building. The basement door will lead you right into the apartment and you will have access to the entire bachelor apartment without any contact with the rest of the building. There is no access for guests to additional parts of the building or services other than the apartment itself.

Other things to note
The apartment is located in the basement but only requires 2 steps down into the building. It would not be wheelchair accessible but only requires a couple steps from the outside of the building into the apartment.
All bed linens and towels are provided.
There is no stove in the unit, only a 2 burner hot plate style cooktop.
There is a small fridge in the space.
The couch converts to a bed (instructions into the welcome book if needed) and all linens are provided for that as well.
