Our house is set up as a duplex but you will have access to the guest's apartment through a separate entrance. The kitchen, living/dining room and bathroom are on the main floor and the two bedrooms are upstairs. The kitchen is equipped with a small fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, counter top burner, coffee machine and electric kettle. Plus all the other utensils necessary to prepare a quick meal or warm up food. Coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper and olive oil are provided. There is plenty parking space in the driveway.

It is a bright, modern and spacious accommodation with a full kitchen, lounge and dining area. We are located on the very pretty Glenora Road which is away from the hustle and bustle of Picton Main Street, but only a 2 minute drive away. There you can enjoy various bars and restaurants such as the new Royal Hotel, The Acoustic Grill, Hank's Lonesome, Beau Bistro, 555 Brewing Company and Hartley's Tavern. You can explore various Gift shops, Ice-Cream shops, Bakeries ....... the list goes on! Lake on the Mountain and other wineries and breweries are only a short drive away, or you can head to Sandbanks Provincial Park which is only 15 minutes drive. Base 31 (a former WWII air training base) which now holds daytime and nighttime events is only a 5 minute drive.

Towels and Linens
Kitchen/bedroom linens and bath towels are provided for your convenience. There are beach towels in the bathroom.

Bathroom Supplies
We provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. We also supply one ply, septic safe toilet paper, and we ask that you only use that and not flush any other products down the toilet. There is a hair dryer available for use.

Iron and Ironing Board
Should you require an iron and an ironing board, they is one in the wardrobe in the bedroom.

Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cook top, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, large toaster oven (big enough for a 12-inch pizza), pots and pans, knives and cooking utensils. We also provide salt, pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Water
We are on a well and septic system. The tap water is safe to drink, but may not be to your taste if you are not used to well water. There are filters on the water to take away the mineral smell, but there are still minerals in the water that cannot be filtered out. Please be mindful of water consumption and try not to over-use the water.

Bell Satellite/Apple TV:
The Bell Satellite receiver has hundreds of channels. The Apple TV has most major streaming apps installed (Crave, Disney+, Apple+. Amazon Prime, Netflix, CBC Gem). We also offer a guest account on each of these streaming services, so you won't need to log into your own account.

Visitors
If you wish to have visitors during your stay, they are more than welcome, as long as they don't spend the night (The County is very strict about occupancy limits). We also ask that they not park on the side of the road, as they may be ticketed or towed by the County. Just let us know, and we can arrange for temporary parking for any visitors.

The Schoolhouse
This one-room schoolhouse was built in 1877. It still has the original blackboards and teacher’s platform. We’ve shared an article (found in the guidebook in the loft), from The County Magazine, that features the owners who did the home conversion back in the 80s. The bell tower on top is a reproduction, but was built to match the original. We are happy to tell you anything you want to know about the schoolhouse, but we unfortunately do not offer tours of the interior.

Schoolhouse Kitchen
We operate a private chef and catering company onsite, the commercial kitchen is in the same building as the loft. We are not in there every day, and we do our best to minimize the noise and cooking aromas. We generally operate between the hours of 9am and 5pm, and try to do our best to do that when guests are out, but it isn't always possible. If you want to know more about what we do you can always check out our business online, schoolhousekitchen.ca should you want to know more. You can also find our food at Gillingham Brewing on Wilson Road and on Main Street in Picton.

Country Air
Depending on the time of year, and the direction the wind is blowing, occasionally you may notice some farm related smells in the air. We are surrounded by farms, so this does happen from time to time. However, this is easily remedied by closing the windows and turning on the AC.

Our Cats
We have cats who live here and barn cats from next door that wander our property. They are very friendly, and you may meet some of them. We ask that you not allow them into the loft space.

The Space:
This 1000 sq ft. apartment suite provides plenty of character but with modern amenities. The long gated, covered patio that stretches the length of the building is a favourite spot on warm days and evenings and to enjoy a meal or conversation.

An open-concept kitchen, dining room and living room creates a welcoming spot to gather, entertain and relax. We don't allow loud parties but as a consummate host and a former restaurateur, I have provided everything you will need to enjoy a nice meal in the suite. Take-out and delivery is available from many of the local restaurants. Check out my welcome book and website for my favourite recommendations. The dining tables (inside and out) seat six comfortably. I have wooden high chairs available upon request.

Enjoy hanging out on the comfy couch and chairs watching tv or movies, playing games or reading books. It's all there for you! If you want to get comfy, there is a little electric fireplace and extra blankets and pillows.

The back bedroom has a comfy queen-sized bed and a closet to keep your clothes tidy. This room contains a desk and chair for getting work done. The front bedroom faces Victoria Avenue and has two double beds...perfect for kids or friends staying together. This room also has a comfy chair for lounging in and both rooms have a wall mounted fireplace to make things cozy in the colder months. The couch in the living room can be pulled out to create extra sleeping spots.

A washer and dryer in the back bedroom help to make longer stays more comfortable. This is a private apartment and you will have the entire space to yourself. Private access to the upstairs unit is via the patio and there is complimentary private parking in the rear of the building.

We use a coded lock system on both the gates and the doors and guests will automatically be sent the private codes upon .booking.

The bathroom is bright and clean and has a big walk-in shower and a new toilet (with a removable lid) for extra thorough cleaning. I am a hairstylist/esthetician and was formerly a restaurateur, so I know all about proper sanitation!

An Ontario Parks parking pass is included with your stay. It allows access to all of the provincial parks nearby (including Sandbanks). Valid from April 1 - Nov 30 each season. Please return the pass to the suite once you're done using it so that it's there for the next guest! I have picnic coolers, beach chairs and beach blankets available upon request.

Guest Access:
The entire space is yours to use. The entrance to the stairs leading up to the suite is shared by the downstairs guests, as is the parking lot. Please be respectful of them (say hello!) and comply with social distancing recommendations. You both have plenty of outdoor space to enjoy!

The Neighborhood:
You are in the heart of Belleville, but on a quiet section of the street with a church on one side and a hair salon on the other (also run by your host Sharon). Being in the centre of it all puts you close to just about everything you could want to do in the area, including visiting wineries, breweries, galleries and the local waterfront and beaches.

Getting Around:
Check out the welcome book and my website for more details on the surrounding area (so much good stuff nearby!) but just know that you are in the heart of it all and close to everything! We have free parking, are on a transit route and are within walking distance to the Riverfront trail and Downtown District shops, galleries and restaurants. We are close to the hospital, the industrial park, Zwicks park, the Wellness Centre, the YMCA, the Trenton Air Base and Museum. Prince Edward County is just across the bridge over the beautiful Bay of Quinte and is a hub for all kinds of other awesome things to do!

Other Things to Note:
Wind Rose Suites 30 is a Pet Friendly space! We welcome your furry friends as guests but please be considerate of the neighbours and follow all house rules!

Your pets are welcome to stay with you, and are considered as extra guests. An extra security deposit of $250 is required. This deposit will be refunded if our Cleaning, Damage and Missing Items Report comes back clear.
Maximum number of pets is 2. We welcome dogs and cats.

This is a private suite located just next door to The Cat's Meow Salon, my other business. I work 2 seconds away and live just 5 minutes away so am available but will not intrude on your stay! You may even want to book a service in my salon while you visit! Book ahead to get a spot. I'm usually pretty busy as I have been a hairstylist in Belleville for more than 20 years!

Getting Around:
Check out the welcome book and my website for more details on the surrounding area but just know that you are in the heart of it all and close to everything! We have a free parking spot and paid spots available, are on a transit route and are within walking distance to the Riverfront trail and Downtown District shops, galleries and restaurants. Close to the hospital, industrial park, Zwicks park, the Wellness Centre, the YMCA, the Trenton Air Base and Museum. Prince Edward County is just across the bridge over the beautiful Bay of Quinte and is a hub for all kinds of other awesome things to do!

This large newly reno'd bright space with AC, features 2 full, very bright bedrooms each with queen beds with beautiful crisp linens. A large living room with leather sofa that can also be an extra bed, lounge chair makes this a very comfortable space to relax. Large screen tv, that includes Netflix access, high speed internet. The extra large very elegant bathroom features large walk in shower with glass doors, beautiful carrera porcelain tiles, a washer/dryer and oversized vanity. The kitchen features an all white new cabinetry/appliances/dishwasher and glass table dining area. The kitchen is fully equiped for any gourmet cook. There is a full foyer downstairs in the entry way with closet storage for bags/boots/shoes coats. Large shared garden with muskoka chairs and gas fire pit make for a lovely outdoor space with friends. There is ample parking for 2-3 cars.

- Weekdays are often Free, weekends are paid but your Season Pass will waive all fees.
- As you proceed through checkout there will be an option to select Season Pass Holder, and enter the details of your pass.

- Make sure you enter your license plate correctly.

- You will need to do this entire process for each car. Ensure you receive the confirmation via email (I often send myself a screenshot in case it takes a while to arrive).
- The general procedure is to arrive at one of the park entrances, proceed to park and display

Safety - for the safety of guests as well as the property, there are 3 (3) external video cameras. One is pointing towards Paul street, the property parking and entrances and is visible located at 9 ft. high in the north east corner of the building. The second is located in the same spot and points to the king street entrance and grounds. The third covers the back entrance to suite D, and is located on the West wall near the back door at 7 ft. high. There are NO cameras inside the house whatsoever.

The Skyloft on West Lake is a waterfront property 2 mins. from Wellington, near the Sandbanks provincial park, Bloomfield and amazing Prince Edward County artists, wineries and restaurants ! You’ll love the views, the vaulted ceilings, the convenient location and the privacy is priceless. The Skyloft is for couples and small groups. You can use the firepit, bbq, pedal boat, kayaks, and canoe. Use of the boat launch and the Skyloft dock is included. Float-planes welcome.
The Skyloft entrance is on a second story private deck accessed from an outside staircase. The private deck has patio furniture and an outside eating area with a view of West Lake. When you enter the Skyloft, the bedroom and bathroom are on that level and upstairs you will find the kitchen, living room, dining area, and balcony with a view over West Lake, the Sandbanks and Lake Ontario over to the South. On the canal dock you will find a paddle boat, kayaks and canoes and we have some adult life jackets for your use.
The property is 2.5 acres with two buildings (one has SkyLoft and SkyView) and the other has SkySuite. Each building also has a living space used by the owners. There is a private driveway with a lot of parking available. There are two docks that can accommodate larger boats and also float-planes. The property is all trees and grass and flower gardens. There is a boat ramp onsite for smaller boats and a large boat ramp nearby. Boat trailers can be stored on site. Sandbanks Provincial Park is across the lake - an easy paddle by canoe or kayak. Wellington is a couple of kilometers away which is walkable for hikers however there is also a ride-hailing service "uride" in available. The Millennium Trail is across the road and there are local ebike and bike rental services available if you want to ride and don't bring your own bikes.
SkyLoft has a private entrance, a private outside shaded lounging and eating area with a private BBQs - and its living room and outside private amenity space has a view of West Lake. The inside space has individual heating and cooling temperature controls, cable TV, high-speed WiFi internet and a bluetooth speaker systems.
You have a staircase to the SkyLoft deck, and interior space on the 2nd floor and the entire 3rd floor of the house - all private. Outside, there is a dock on the channel leading to West Lake. You can launch the kayaks, pedal boat or canoe from there. It is suitable for docking a power boat or float plane - or use the front dock. The use of the boats and boards is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Life jackets provided upon request.
The is also a fire table, a picnic table and you have lounging-friendly deck furniture on your private deck. The 3rd floor also has a private balcony which gets sun all day and sunsets. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds. Guests are able to use any area of the property except private amenity spaces and the owners deck.
Saskia is knowledgeable about the local music, wine and art scenes and is a part-time work-at-home travel agent. She can also advise where to paddle on West Lake, or any other questions about the rental or area you could have.
The local area of Wellington in Prince Edward County is well known for the Drake Devonshire, La Condesa and East & Main restaurants, the Koenji whiskey bar, The SideStreet Gallery and the many artist studios and local wineries placed through-out. It has a grocery store, a pharmacy, two bakeries, a liquor store, a bank, great restaurants & amazing ice cream venues, a bank, a Tim Horton's - and a stoplight! The SkyManor on West Lake is a 3 minute drive (20 minute walk) from "downtown" Wellington. Bloomfield is also nearby and has interesting shops, artisans and restaurants. Our property is a waterfront paradise for boaters and water sports enthusiasts. It is a 5 minute walk from the Millenium Trail, a maintained, multi-use rail trail. Prince Edward County is a great cycling destination, too! We often have e-bikes available onsite for a fee.
There is plenty of parking available on-site. The West Lake E-Bike company is nearby. There is abus service, and shuttles to the hayloft dance hall/bar. The information is on the Discover Wellington web site. And shuttle information is on the Hayloft Dance Hall web site. Some googling will reveal local wine tour transportation services that can pick you up and drop you off at the SkyManor on West Lake. There is also a local taxi service. If we can help provide more information on getting around, just ask!
The SkyLoft on West Lake has a Nespresso machine and we provide coffee caps. If you need more, just ask. There are also cute coffee shops and a Tim Hortons and restaurants just a couple of minutes by car in Wellington.
For larger groups, you may want to consider also booking one of our other airbnbs SkySuite on West Lake or SkyView on West Lake - which are all on the same property. All three can be booked as SkyManor on West Lake, if all are available. Perfect if you need bigger accommodations or if you are planning a family reunion or a special get together with friends.
Saskia and Maarten are long-time airbnb superhosts and we understand that guests want their privacy. We have carefully separated the spaces and common areas so that there is a real sense of individual private spaces. Although we live on the property, we highly respect your privacy and communicate normally only through your booking app unless we pass each other at some point - and then we will say hi! :-)

Originally built in the early 1800s, this suite is a beautifully renovated flat in an urban heritage building on Victoria Avenue in Belleville, steps away from a beautiful downtown district with boutique shops, restaurants, a riverfront walking trail and much more!

The Space:
This 940 sq ft. apartment suite provides plenty of character but with modern amenities. The long gated, covered patio that stretches the length of the building is a favourite spot on warm days and evenings and to enjoy a meal or conversation.

An open-concept kitchen, dining room and living room creates a welcoming spot to gather, entertain and relax. We don't allow loud parties but as a consummate host and a former restaurateur, I have provided everything you will need to enjoy a nice meal in the suite. Take-out and delivery is available from many of the local restaurants. Check out my welcome book and website for my favourite recommendations. The dining tables (inside and out) seat six comfortably. I have wooden high chairs available upon request.

Enjoy hanging out on the comfy couches watching tv or movies, playing games or reading books. It's all there for you! If you want to get comfy, there is a little electric fireplace and extra blankets and pillows.

I have included a desk space by a big window facing the patio so you can work without feeling like you're missing out! Free hi-speed internet and a Smart TV is included!

Both bedrooms have comfy queen-sized beds and armoires to keep your clothes tidy. One bedroom is dark, cozy and quiet and the bedroom is light and bright and has a comfy chair to hang out in. The two couches in the living room can be pulled down to create extra sleeping spots.

A washer and dryer in the main room help to make longer stays more comfortable. This is a private apartment and you will have the entire space to yourself. Private access to the upstairs unit is via the patio and there is complimentary private parking in the rear of the building.

We use a coded lock system on both the gates and the doors and guests will automatically be sent the private codes before your arrival.

The bathroom is small but bright and clean and has a brand new shower and toilet (with a removable lid) for extra thorough cleaning. I run a salon and spa, so I know all about proper sanitation!

An Ontario Parks parking pass is included with your stay. It allows access to all of the provincial parks nearby (including Sandbanks). Valid from April 1 - Nov 30 each season. Please return the pass to the suite once you're done using it so that it's there for the next guest! I have picnic coolers and beach blankets available upon request.

Guest Access:
You have the entire space, including the outdoor patio available to use. The gated patio is also accessed by the unit upstairs but they have their own balcony to hang out on.

The Neighborhood:
You are in the heart of Belleville, but on a quiet section of the street with a church on one side and a hair salon on the other (also run by your host Sharon). Being in the centre of it all puts you close to just about everything you could want to do in the area, including visiting wineries, breweries, galleries and the local waterfront and beaches.

Getting Around:
Check out the welcome book and my website for more details on the surrounding area (so much good stuff nearby!) but just know that you are in the heart of it all and close to everything! We have free parking, are on a transit route and are within walking distance to the Riverfront trail and Downtown District shops, galleries and restaurants. We are close to the hospital, the industrial park, Zwicks park, the Wellness Centre, the YMCA, the Trenton Air Base and Museum. Prince Edward County is just across the bridge over the beautiful Bay of Quinte and is a hub for all kinds of other awesome things to do!

Other Things to Note:
This is a heritage building on a quiet-ish side street in the Downtown District. There is not a bustling nightlife in Belleville but there are noises. There is another unit upstairs and you will hear them walking across the floors but that's about it. Please respect them as you also share access on the patio. Why not make some new friends?!

Feel free to pop your head in the salon to say hi (I'm there Wednesday to Saturday), I will probably be busy with clients but would still love to meet you!

Interaction with Guests:
This is a private suite located just next door to The Cat's Meow Salon, my other business. I work 2 seconds away and live just 5 minutes away so am available but will not intrude on your stay! You may even want to book a service in my salon while you visit! Book ahead to get a spot. I'm usually pretty busy as I have been a hairstylist in Belleville for more than 20 years!

You'll arrive to an immaculately clean and very spacious studio apartment with a beautiful view of the Bay of Quinte and Prince Edward County. The apartment has a private entrance, completely private from the main house. The space is fully equipped with everything you'll need to make your stay relaxing and memorable. The space
Guests have the two bedroom apartment, which consists of the entire lower level walkout of our home. Guest access is located via the walkway at the side of our home leading to a backyard private entrance. Self check in with the keypad. This apartment is attached to our family home, we will be mindful of noise however there are children and a dog living above you.

Our home is on the floor above. The apartment is insulated for noise but some sound may travel.

Being a small suite, we have only set up 2 chairs for the dining table. The place does comfortably sleep 4. But for the most part it is best set up for 2 human beings.

We only leave an extra sheet set out for the pull-out sofa on reservations of 3+ people, if you require more please inquire.

We use a Smart Lock system (August lock) for entry to our place. It integrates well with Airbnb, and guests will automatically be sent their own unique code upon booking. Which will be activated during the duration of their stay, from check-in to check-out. Guests can use their code to enter the residence via the Keypad, or, download and use the August App for a seamless experience.

Please note that there is some known damage to the top of the countertops in the kitchen. Due to the built-in stovetop, a custom-cut replacement is required. We're currently waiting for it to be ready and for our handyman to complete the installation. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for the unaesthetic appearance in the meantime. However, the kitchen remains fully functional despite the visible wear.

During refresh phase, there may be work being done - but this should not interfere with the enjoyment of your stay.

This unit is on the second floor, with a railing on one side of the stairway. You are Unit C. Door on the right at the top of the stairs, with a pin-pad entry lock dedicated with a code specific to your stay.
1 Queen-Size Bed in each of the two bedrooms.
Freshly laundered Towels and Linens are provided by the host.
Fully equipped kitchen/dining with many thoughtful extras included for your comfort.
8-10 min away by car in Tweed you will find many services such as Grocery/Liquor/Dollar/Hardware store as well as banks, pharmacy and a laundromat if needed.

There is a large yard with river views that is shared with other guests, if applicable. Feel free to sit in the seating provided on the porch or in the yard. Access to the Bogart Bridge that overlooks the Clare River are only steps away from your door. Beautiful Sunrises and Sunsets for pictures, and if you have a fishing license? This is a local spot to cast a reel! Worms for sale at all convenience stores in Tweed - this is a fishing community!

If you are a ATV and Sledding enthusiast, we hope you will take advantage of spending the day on the nearby trails, where a local Tweed Poker Run happens once a year. You can also visit with friends and family, or spend the day exploring the Historic Tweed area - home to North America's Smallest Jail/Museum.
