Parking: You’ll have space for up to three vehicles. Please park on the left side of the driveway and avoid driving up to the shed, as it narrows.

• Mole End – a tri-level gem directly on Lake Ontario, equipped with an outdoor kitchen, BBQ, gazebo, and sun terrace on the upper level. Solar shower and guest room with television and wifi are located on the second level. Down below, a staircase leading to the shoreline is a lovely spot to sit and relax in your Muskoka chair while you look out onto the lake.

• New Moon – guests can enjoy a wonderful meal lakeside on the 28-foot brick arbour outdoor dining area. This charming spot is reminiscent of the shores of Italy, where you and your guests can dine underneath draped grapevines, surrounded by lake views.

• Portly’s – a private hot tub overlooking the lake and situated among the magical gardens within the property.

• Toad Castle – a true British stonemason’s creation, this brick oven masterpiece will delight the Smore baking enthusiasts, as this spot will remind guests of a London streetscape from long ago, complete with an old English-style streetlamp.

Your Accommodation

Your private accommodation in the west wing of the home is a nautical themed room, adorned with art from all corners of the globe. The bedroom includes a deluxe Stern and Foster mattress, luxurious cotton sheets, and your own washroom with shower. Skylights with remote controlled blinds are situated overhead in the cathedral ceiling. Guests will also enjoy lake views from their room.

In addition to a fridge and coffeemaker, the room is also equipped with a smart television (with Disney, Netflix and Prime), and portable speakers for entertainment. Two fireplaces (a Rumford wall stone fireplace and a bedside gas woodstove) can also be enjoyed year-round, providing extra coziness for those rainy and snowy days.

Connected to the bedroom is a private tiled indoor swimming pool, outfitted with an endless swim machine (with 52 speeds) and an adjacent steam shower.

*Please note that guests will have access to the private outdoor kitchen if they wish to prepare meals (as noted above). Although there is no kitchenette in the guest suite, it comes equipped with a fridge, coffee maker, plates, cutlery, wine glasses and mugs.

Security/Safety

The North Wing at Lakehurst offers 2 separate bedrooms, our Posh (King sizeBed) and Poise (Queen size Bed) rooms, as well as a shared bath. Both rooms have TV, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and there is a small sitting area to share between them. Guests also have access to the main facilities including outdoor heated pool, patios, hot tubs, billiards room and lounge areas. Steps to the rocky beach and board walk and 5 minutes walking distance to the popular Cobourg Sandy Beach.
We are not always on site at Lakehurst but our staff is close by should you need assistance.
Lakehurst is literally steps to Lake Ontario in a quiet residential neighbourhood in south Cobourg. Take a walk on the board-walk, stroll to the Sandy Beach, or relax at the Harbour. If you're up for shopping we are 5 minutes walking distance to downtown.
Walk anywhere you need to go. If our parking is full, there is plenty of on-street parking on Durham Street.

You have 2 full King Suites with the Glitz and Glamour! Both spacious rooms offer King Beds, mini fridges, coffee makers, microwaves and TVs. Both are decorated with rich colours and have a feeling of relaxed comfort and luxury at the same time. They do share a full bath with combined tub and shower. Guests have access to all facilities including outdoor heated pool, hot tubs, patios, billiards room and lounges. Steps to Lake Ontario and the rocky beach and minutes to Victoria Park and Beach.
