Humbug Views is the perfect space to kick back with the entire tribe and enjoy the great magic that the East Coast has to offer. Super close to the centre of St Helens, Bay of Fires and surrounds. Amenities include 9 seater hot tub, incredible fire pit and a wood fired pizza oven. The bunkhouse is clean and cozy, a place to sleep after an adventure packed day enjoying THIS property and our great backyard.
We recommend at least a 2 night stay at Humbug Views. We often get feedback that once guest’s arrive, they want to spend an entire day just enjoying the property!
We have so many amenities here at Humbug Views including high speed WiFi, a DEGREE43 stainless steel & cedar hot tub which seats 9, and an incredible wood burning pizza oven which is an experience in itself. All anchored by the firepit area where you can congregate and tell tales from the adventure of the day.

A space to unwind and soak it all in after a day on the trails, the bunk house was originally a granny flat with 2 open bays. Rowen, the owner, converted the space into a super funky pad with his own friends and family benefiting for a while, before we all realised it was too good not to be shared with others.

Inside, there are two partitioned bedrooms, both with queen beds. There is a bathroom with shower, toilet, vanity and mirror. We’ve included a second toilet in the laundry adjacent for easier mornings. The bunk room is a walk-through area to the remainder of the flat and out to the alfresco dining area. We have four single beds in this space. At the end of the flat there is a lounge area with smart tv, kitchen (including oven, coffee pod machine and cook top) and breakfast bar.

You’ll want to spend most of your time outside though, no matter the weather you can make it a fun time. The pizza oven, BBQ and large dining space is in the alfresco area which overlooks the gorgeous sweeping views, fire pit and hot tub. A communal space which fits everyone.

The ever changing views will never get old, come stay a little or stay a while – you’ll love every minute.

Minutes from the Bay of Fires and St Helens township, there is an abundance of adventure, local produce, and natural beauty close at hand.
The dwelling, with a modest 60m2 footprint, is tucked into nine acres of private bushland. Inspired by the idea of a ranger base crossed with a bush hideaway, every element is designed with the environment in mind – coaxing you outdoors.

Extensive double glazing brings nature’s finer details close-in to the living spaces while also drawing to the wider view. You may glimpse pademelons scuttling into the bush and superb fairy wrens darting around the native grasses in the courtyard. Sea eagles, black cockatoos, and pelicans fly above the treetops, while black swans gather on the bay below.

Swansong’s tough corrugated exterior contrasts against honey-toned timbers and cork floors inside, creating an inviting atmosphere. The natural materials and understated furnishings have been selected to sit in harmony with simple living in the Tasmanian bush.

The cabin ‘s two pavilions are connected by timber decking. A Japanese-style engawa (edge/veranda), constructed of web-forge steel extends around each; its many uses include a place to sit or a walkway above the surrounding native grasses and shrubs.

The first pavilion combines kitchen, dining and living. Settle on the sofa and watch the clouds roll over the bay or curl up on the window seat as the sunset lights up the granite boulders on the opposite shoreline.

The kitchen is equipped to create memorable meals. Our pantry is stocked with cooking oils, vinegars, herbs, spices, dry-goods and specialty tea and coffee.

Across the deck in the bedroom pavilion a queen-size bed is plumped up with 100% pure linen sheets and bed covers. Cast a sleepy eye to the sunrise over Georges Bay without lifting your head from the pillow or sit out on the deck to bask with a morning brew.

The shower ensuite is green and serene with a window through to the bush. Soft cotton towels and Aesop hand wash and moisturiser, shampoo and conditioner and body wash are supplied.

Only 5 minutes' drive from St Helens you can unwind in total privacy on 35 acres of gardens, bush, and fields around you. The French countryside-inspired house has five very comfortable bedrooms each with a private ensuite, a large well-equipped kitchen, and dining for 10 inside or outside in the beautiful french inspired courtyard with a large BBQ, a very comfortable lounge, and a separate small lounge or private office with desk.

Set on 35 acres a few minutes from St Helens, a stunning mixture of bush, open fields, and relaxing gardens. The French House is a charming French country house-inspired 5 very comfortable bedroom (each with a private ensuite) home. Wood-fired heaters in the large comfortable living and dining rooms with a very spacious and well-equipped kitchen. We are within walking distance of St Helens main street with markets, restaurants and shops. However, when you want to escape holiday crowds or are done exploring the local farms, our units are quiet and restful with off-street car parking, a full kitchen and individual washing facilities.
