It seems that cash is the norm when paying for holidays in this part of Germany, so don't be put off or worried. The shallow water of the Baltic resorts was made for bathing - in June the sea temperature was 18 degrees and I believe it rises to 24 degrees by the end of summer. This is not a region favoured by the British but it is a great place to visit and relax and we would recommend it whole heartedly. The local lake (seen in the photo's) is less than 10 minutes walk and aparently home to the sea eagle. We had a great week and were sorry to leave. "
