We were slightly challenged with the A/C which shut off on its own when it reached the desired temp, but did not resume automatically to maintain the temp. There might have been a solution to this that eluded us and we didn’t bother to ask bc and managed fine, either by just re-starting the A/C ourselves or, in the nice cool and breezy evenings, by opening the many windows. We took advantage of the roof deck which gives you a 360 view of the river and town, including a pair of storks in a gigantic nest on the chimney-top of an adjacent building! Ours was a delightful stay and I only wish we had had more than 4 days to explore the town and other nearby Algarve towns. "

- "Property was as advertised and worked great for the 3 of us. I walk with a cane making it's proximity to the riverfront and the town square ideal. I was able to change the reservation from 2 to 3 adults with no issues when a Portuguese-speaking friend decided to join us. Although I fell in love with Vila Real de Santo Antonio, it was too quiet for my younger friend. We both fell in love with Madeira once we arrived there so sadly I likely won't be returning to this delightful village. "
