Our home is a spacious ground floor luxury 2 bedroom apartment. It offers fabulous contemporary living accommodation throughout. It’s a short walk to the main beach and Praca with a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars; there is also an adults and children’s swimming pool there(fees apply). The luxury 5 star resort of VDL has many on site amenities including a children’s club/crèche, Tennis Academy, crazy golf, a health spa, boutique shops, news agent, bank, medical centre and the resort also benefits from 24 hour security. There is a well stocked supermarket by the entrance into VDL and is only a 10 min walk from the apartment or 1 min drive. The resort also has 2 championship golf courses of the Royal and Ocean and the club house is a 2 min drive from the apartment. This is also where the resort reception is located. The apartment is professionally managed by VDL and the resort is only 20 min from faro airport (we can arrange direct transfers for you). The beach was about a 15 minute walk from the apartment, you have to pay a fee to hire the sun loungers and it was quite windy the days we were there. We tried some restaurants at the Praça - Monty’s and Amore for dinner and took Ubers to The Cheeky Pup and The Shack in Quinta do Lago. Chloe is a great host. We spoke before we visited and she gave lots of tips about the apartment and the resort. We would definitely recommend the apartment and VDL resort and hope to return again in the future."

John was brilliant right from the moment of us booking our stay, responded very quickly to any questions we had and provided with a nice, straightforward and pleasant booking and stay experience, so thanks for making it all so easy John! We rented bikes from ‘Bikers’ (just google them) & this was the best way to see the sites, & to generally get around to the neighbouring ‘Quinta’ & nature reserves, which can all be toured either on foot, or on 2 wheels (much quicker!) Only 20mins from the airport our apartment is situated in the exclusive Lakeside Village in Quinta do Lago close to the Ria Formosa nature reserve. The apartment is in close proximity to some of Europe's finest golf courses, water sports, bicycle hire and tennis courts. Close to the new CAMPUS sports complex and within walking distance to the beach, water sports and many restaurants, the apartment is ideal for exploring the Algarve and beyond. Many supermarkets a short drive away and beautiful shops in the Quinta centre.
Recently renovated, the apartment offers all year round accommodation thanks to underfloor heating and large wall heaters in all rooms. Being on the ground floor there is easy access through sliding patio doors to a large patio with alfresco dining table that extends to seat 6 easily, comfy sofa and chairs, parasol and loungers. The large pool is just seconds from the apartment with plenty of loungers and parasols for everyone. Pedro's pool bar is also here offering drinks and light snacks and of course ice cream for the children and adults alike!!
The lake offers various water sports including paddle boarding, sailing and kayaking and sun loungers and here we have "The Shack" serving meals and drinks from morning until dusk.

The location is fantastic, the Lakeside development is a great place to get away and relax and a lovely family location. It is also located very close to many amenities and attractions. Transport is helpful, however due to extremely high car rental costs, we chose to simply use Ubers this year, which worked out easier and cheaper than renting a car. In terms of the apt, it is wonderful. Well equipped, very nicely decorated, and very comfortable. The master bedroom is huge and has a lovely en suite. The 2nd bedroom worked well for 2 teenagers, who also had their own very nice bathroom. The kitchen is all super moderns and has all you could need. The living room is big a comfortable and there is a spacious terrace leading not to the gardens and pool. This was the first time we have stayed at Lakeside on the ground floor and I have to say it was a major benefit, it made the gardens and pool feel like they were part of the property rather than some where you could go to use. I would very much reccomend this property and the owner could not have been more engaging and helpful with info etc when required."

The property was in immaculate condition, very clean and spacious and has all the amenities you need from several different cups and glasses to various other kitchen utensils, hand soap, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Literally everything had been thought of. The rooms were huge and simply gorgeous. Plenty of hangers for clothes and lots of plug sockets for electricals. The shower has great pressure and the terrace was wonderful catching the sun later in the day for that perfect sundown. We really enjoyed our stay in Vale do Lobo and this was the first time staying in this property after visiting the Algarve for more than 25 years. It was a pleasure to stay here and I hope to stay again. I renovated this apartment in 2016 and have since sold it to a lovely couple who use me as their agent to rent it. It is a high quality light space ideal for a summer holiday or a winter break. The private terrace has an electric awning for some shade as the terrace gets a lot of sun especially in summer. There is a gas BBQ and table and chairs for 4 people plus 2 sunbeds. The apartment has air con throughout for summer and underfloor heating for the winter months, there is a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave and large fridge freezer with two comfortable bedrooms and two modern shower rooms, the showers are thermostatically controlled. There is wifi and TV in the lounge and both bedrooms offering cable TV including most European channels. There are electric shutters to help keep the apartment cool in summer.

- "Had a great stay. Very clean and well equipped. Cleaning service mid stay. Would recommend. Gas BBQ replaced immediately (but ideally would have been checked before our arrival). We had a late arrival so the gate into the communal corridor took a while to figure out how to open, but wasn't locked. Cupboard with lockbox is beside the door to the property - not by the communal gate which are locked (we got there in the end!) Twin room literally just fits the two beds up against the walls head to toe, so very snug room. Master bed could do with a mattress topper. Thinking of booking again for next year if the mattress can be improved."

You need a car there. Miguel at BMyGuest was very helpful to meet and greet. The acoustics are the biggest issue with the connecting apartment next door, you can hear anyone in there cough, every noise. It would be good if the owners could insulate the connecting door to reduce this sound transfer otherwise you are really living with them, so it's not ideal to stay for long periods. Also some new firmer pillows would be great."
