I'd been slightly worried by some reviews before we arrived but i can honestly say our stay in August was excellent. It's a great 3 star hotel. All the staff were brilliant, my children went to kids club on our last 2 days and loved it, huge thanks to Junior, Andre, Pedro and Vinny, especially Junior who took my daughter under his wing and Pedro who entertained my son. The pool was huge and the only one in the world that actually had free loungers at almost any time of the day! The boat over to the beach was fun and the beach nice, with warmer water than the west coast. The room was a cheaper room, sunrise, and was spacious, well equipt and very clean. Plenty of hot water for showers and cleaners came every other day and did a wonderful job. I can only assume that people are expecting far more than they paid for, hand on heart, this is a great find."

Our apartment is in the heart of Ria Formosa’s Natural Park, in the picturesque fishing village of Santa Luzia.

It's located right next to the village center, a couple of minutes walking distance from the riverfront and with easy access to the award-winning beaches of Terra Estreita and Barril.

It has a small balcony where you can have a meal, garage parking and pool access, along with a lovely vista over the village from building's rooftop.

The space
The apartment is right next to the village center and a couple of minutes walking distance from the riverfront. It's tastefully decorated and fully equipped, with WI-FI and all the appliances usually required.

There's a small balcony where you can enjoy a meal and a pool open to visiting guests. Parking is available in the garage. The building itself has a large rooftop that provides an excellent view over the village and the lagoon.

You’ll find the village’s only supermarket a few of doors down, so carrying groceries home won’t be an issue.

The building only has 12 apartments so you won't find it too crowded. Please be aware that apartment is on the first floor and there isn't an elevator.

Other things to note
Praia Estreita beach is in an islet between the Formosa lagoon and the Mediterranean and can only be accessed by a short 10-minute ferry boat ride where you can appreciate the beauty of the Formosa Natural Preserve.

The beach has all the support services required including a beach bar, lifeguard services, and just an awesome chill vibe.

Getting to the ferryboat pier takes less than 5 minutes if you’re walking from our apartment but don’t worry about missing the boat, during the summer months you can catch a ferry every 15 minutes.

Barril Beach is a traveler’s choice award-winning beach situated less than a mile away from Santa Luzia. A small train connects the beach and to the lagoon crossing

A short 10-minute drive and you’ll find Tavira, a city of art and history and an essential port of call on any cultural tour of the Algarve.

Major attractions include the old medieval castle overlooking the gilao river, the distinctive architectural style known as "tesouro", and the local cuisine.

Check-in is carried out directly at the accommodation from 3:30 pm, but please note that check-in between 7 pm and midnight incurs an extra cost of €30.

At the time of check-out, guests must leave the accommodation in a reasonable state of cleanliness, otherwise, Homing reserves the right to charge an extra cleaning fee. We also ask that when checking out, you pay attention to your belongings, as we are not responsible for objects left in the accommodation.

Once our family's vacation house, this 3rd-floor apartment is located halfway between the town of Tavira and the small fishing village of Cabanas. The balcony provides a beautiful 180º view over the Ria Formosa Natural Park and the Atlantic Ocean.

Close to a wide offer of small villages, sandy beaches, golf courses, and restaurants, it is only a 3-4 min drive away from Tavira's town center with its Roman bridge, river, and fish/farmers' market. 2 min drive to the closest supermarkets.

The space
The apartment has a main bedroom with a 2nd smaller indoor bedroom, a good-sized kitchen, and a spacious living room.

The kitchen doesn't have an oven, only a gas stove. It is equipped with a microwave, Nespresso machine, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, and washer.

The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower. We provide 2 towels per guest (hands/bath).
Shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer, and a first aid kit are also available.

Bedroom: Beds are made. Extra blankets or a duvet are available. We use pillow and mattress protectors which are always replaced between guests.

There are 2 Inverter Air Conditioners: One (7,000 BTU/hour) in the main bedroom and another (12,000 BTU/hour) in the living room.

Access: THERE IS NO ELEVATOR, and access is by outdoor stairs only.

Wifi (30/30Mb) and cable TV are available.

WE CAN ONLY GUARANTEE ACCESS TO THE SWIMMING POOL DURING THE HIGH SEASON (June 15th to September 15th)!

The living room and small room's ceiling lights are disconnected. For improved energy efficiency we are, at the moment, using floor lamps with LED lights.

In Portugal, 99% of tap/public water is of excellent quality and good for human consumption. Tavira's tap water is no exception.

The Algarve is a very tourist area. The main tourists come from Portugal, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, from Holland, Ireland and France also.

Its beaches are the main attraction, but the climate and culture also attract.

Check-in is scheduled from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the day of arrival.
Since 2015, Portuguese law has required the notification to the Foreigners Service (SEF) of the identification of all nationals staying in the country and in all types of accommodation.
