We are a unique and central family space in the beautiful historic center of the city of Tavira. Situated in the heart of the city of Tavira, next to the castle and in the middle of the historic center, the Wall, with a total of 24 rooms, is a 16th century building, which forms part of the city's architectural culture.
A wonderful homemade breakfast is included in the rate and is served every day between 8 am and 11 am.

In the old part of the farm you find this cozy little home with private terrace looking out over the back part of the organic citrus orchard. When you come in, you are drawn outside where you look out over the orchard. Here you can cook outside or zip on your cold beer at the bar. Inside you'll find a colourful bathroom with rain shower, a comfortable bed, climate controle, fridge/freezer and Nespresso coffee machine. In summer, the sun setting will peak trough the trees on your terrace.

The space
The farm house has it's own entrance via the patio and because of it's position at the back side of the farm, you are quite private. Yet only a few steps away from the salt water pool (no chemicals are used on the farm) and rooftop terrace.
The farm house has a colourful bathroom with rain/massage shower, a comfortable bed (160x200cm), air conditioning (also for heating in spring or autumn) a little seating and table inside but just the best is to be outside where the sun is :)
Your private terrace has a BBQ grill, an outdoor kitchen with induction cooker, electric kettle, pots and pans and all other necessary things to prepare a full meal. At your little bar, with the last sun peaking on your terrace you can zip your ice cold beer or wine. Or just slide in your hammock...
You have a fridge/freezer to store all your groceries.
Guests have access to the orchard all around and fruit of the season is free to pick! The pool, roof terrace and surroundings are for private use for guests only.

In Luz de Tavira, a traditional little village on the coast of Eastern Algarve, we run an organic citrus orchard (1 hectare) with small guesthouse. The farm, guesthouse and pool with roof terrace is in the middle so you are surrounded by trees.
At our roof terrace with sea view you have an incredible sunset every evening and for the early birds, the sun coming up is just a magical moment of the day. Guests are free to pick any fruit of the season from the orchard. We have oranges, clementinas, lemons, avocados, pomegranate, grapes, kaki fruit, apples, apricots and pears. Feel free to pick!

Other things to note
Our guesthouse only has three accommodations so it is always very calm.
We have bikes for rent for €7,50 per day. Check availability when you are here. We can arrange airport transfers. Also ask for car rental recommendation!
At the farm we have chickens, Indian runner ducks and our two little dogs Coco & Izzy who will visit the farm for cuddles.

Here in East Algarve is Quinta Alcarias, hidden gem nestled in the lush green valley of Alcarias, surrounded by the rolling hills of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo.

Explore the lush surroundings and embrace the authentic rural life of Eastern Portugal, ideal for hiking or mountain biking, but the coast can also be reached within 20 minutes.

From the Quinta, you can walk to Santa Catarina in 20 minutes or 5 minutes by car.
Here you will find a supermarket, a bakery, post office, ATM, pharmacy and a gas pump.
There are also a number of restaurants where you can eat well.

Accessibility is good: Faro airport is less than 30 minutes' drive away, and beautiful historic towns such as Tavira, Olhao and Loule can be reached in 20 minutes.
Via the Toll Road, even the Spanish city of Seville is a 2-hour drive away, and within 3 hours you are in Lisbon.
