We have relatively fast WiFi, seven bedrooms (four suites, two double rooms, one triple suite, one dorm room), a spacious living room, and nice wooden decks outside to catch sun or practice yoga.

Very nice countyside room set in a beautiful guesthouse on the outskirts of Aljezur.

The space
The Montes de Praias guesthouse is a countryside house, set in a countryside location 1km from the town of Aljezur and just 10 minutes from the beach! It has nice communal areas with garden, shared pool, parking and BBQ.

The "Vale dos Homens Beach Room" is named after the westcoast beach, although it is not by the beach. The Montes de Praias guesthouse gives the surrounding beach's names to each room, to honor the beautiful Algarvian westcoast.

This room is an on-suite bedroom with sofa-bed in the ground-floor room, and also a bathroom, and the top mezzanine is the bedroom with double-sized bed and closet.

The sofa-bed allows for an extra guest, so the room sleeps a total of 3 people.

Access is done through the guesthouse and guests have use of the communal areas, and this room shares the kitchen with the adjoining room.

It is an ideal location for your holidays, to enjoy the magnificent Algarve climate and the tranquility of this countyside home.

Casa Sobre o Mar is located in Vale da Telha, close to Arrifana beach. It is our private home where we rent 3 independent spaces. This studio attached to the main house works as a tiny house for you with kitchnette, living room, private bathroom. Here you can enjoy the Garden, Pool, make BBQ outside (shared with other guests and us) or hike around the Natural Park. There are several restaurants with great food nearby (1 min walking), grocery store, bakery and supermarket.

Other things to note
The house is our permanent home so you probably will find us around in the outside common areas quite often.

For dogs owners:
We have two dogs, Kovu and Kira.
Kira is super friendly with humans and any other dogs.
Kovu is a territorial doggo and is sometimes not getting along with other dogs (specially male and/or puppies). For this reason we have devidided the property in two parts: Back part (where the pool/garden/barbecue are and where my dogs are always) and Front part (where the access to the rooms is and a smaller grass area aswell). In the cases when Kovu is not accepting the presence of another dog, the guests dog will still have the front grass area to run around and will not be allowed in the pool/bbq area. We always try to have a slow introduction between dogs if everyone is confortable and work from there. Pet friendly option at Casa Sobre O Mar is not a paid service and owners are responsible for any damage and poops around the property made by their doggos.
