Welcome to live in your own little cottage with a small place to sit outside in a secluded spot in our garden. (We sometimes walk past as the bicycle storage is next door.)
The cottage is located on a quiet leafy street with a five minute walk to the center and train station.
The cottage is cozy and well equipped but older as are the appliances and the water heater is a smaller model which is why we keep the price low.
There is a sofa bed for two and a bedarmchair.

A cozy and relaxing accommodation with a fantastic location right next to the lake Glafsfjorden.
A small and modest cottage, with an composting/dry toilet in a small house in the garden.
The cottage has no running water, but water is fetched from the main house on the farm.
There is an outdoor-shower in the garden, with water from the lake that is heated up in the shower by the sun.
Perfekt for taking a break from the canoe trip or just enjoying nature.
Guest access
-The cottage has a bunk bed, with a 120 cm bed in the lower bed and 80 cm bed in upper bed, and a camp bed (80 cm)
-You have to bring your own bedlinnen and towels.
-Kitchenware includes glasses, mugs, plates, cutlery, pots, frying pan etc.
-The small kitchen contains a refrigerator with a small freezer, electric stove, microwave oven, kettle and coffe maker.
The final 100 meter you drive a cross a grass field, and parking the car by the house..
Welcome to our guest house close to nature, culture and activities in and around Arvika.
Here you will stay in a scenic, relaxing place with lake views and access to a rowboat, nice forests for hiking and biking and at the same time only a 10-minute drive into Arvika city center.
If you are on a journey, this is a perfect accommodation for overnight stays that includes bedding and towels and has easy access.
The space
The guest cottage is located scenic with a lake view, next to the main house where we live.
The cottage has 4 single beds, 2 of which are in a loft with low ceiling height. The loft is accessed by step ladder and hence it is not recommended for smaller children.
In the cabin there is also a sofa, dining area, as well as a simpler kitchen area with fridge, freezer compartment, fan and portable induction hobs, microwave oven, coffee maker and water boilers. Barbecue is available to borrow. The cottage lacks water, but the possibility of dishes is available directly outside. Water to drink is provided in bottles upon arrival and which you refill yourselves if necessary during your stay.
Shower and toilet are inside with us in the main house with easy access 24/7.
Heating, electricity and wifi in the cabin. Linen, towels and cleaning is included.
On the plot there is a simpler swing set, as well as trampoline (summer time) that is used by our children, but which you can also enjoy. Rowing boat for fishing or hiking on the lake is available to borrow.

You will have the cottage to yourselves.
Shower and toilet are in the main house, next to the cottage, with easy access and used only by you.

Cozy cottage with 4 beds. Two minutes walk to jetty, possibility to borrow 3 kayaks that are included in the property. A 10 minutes walk to public beach. Short walk to a nice viewpoint with newly built barbecue area. Center about 5 km away.
This cabin is for those of you who want to live close to nature and are okay with a slightly simpler standard. No kitchen, but microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer are available and barbecue. A portapotti and shower with heated, filtered lake water are available in the building next door. Linens available.

We rent out our small cottage, located on the plot next to our residential building. A beautiful place surrounded by forest and overlooking large meadows, pastures and a glittering lake.
Lillstugan offers modern accommodation in inspiring surroundings. Hike, bike, barbecue and enjoy the sun on the patio, take a ride on the rowing boat, fish, sauna (35 Euro) and enjoy the outdoor shower. Here are many opportunities for wonderful moments!
The space
Our small cottage offers modern accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Arvika, a charming small town with restaurants and activities, is 5 km away.
The accommodation is part of a seperate building on our plot, close to our residential building.
The accommodation contains
- a living room with open ridge with fully equipped kitchenette, dining area, sofa and armchairs and a cozy cast iron stove for cooler days. The sofa is a sofa bed that can be made into a 140 cm bed. In the kitchen there is a simpler basic selection with coffee, tea, spices, oil, etc.
- a sleeping loft with 180 cm double bed. Bed linen is included and the bed is made when you arrive.
- a bathroom with shower cubicle (installed 2021), toilet and sink. The bathroom provides towels, shampoo, soap and a range of other hygiene items.
In the rest of the building there is a laundry room with a washing machine and freezer and a storage area where there is space to store, for example, bicycles you have brought with you. There are two older bikes to borrow if desired.
On the plot there is a wood-fired sauna with large windows to the surroundings. This can be rented, €35, then we light it for you for a wonderful sauna session. In summer, there is an outdoor shower adjacent to the sauna, which guests have free access to.
A path leads down to the water (about 100 meters), a pond with a simpler jetty and rowing boat. No problem to take a swim, but NO DIVING. Guests have free access to the rowing boat and there is also simpler fishing equipment to borrow. There are the occasional perch and pike to pull up if you are lucky :)
Other; To keep in mind is that the accommodation is close to our own residential building.
On the plot there is a hen house and a large kitchen garden. Lots of perennial beds, birdhouses and the front part of the plot, which is preserved as older meadow land, give a lovely atmosphere to the accommodation. The pastures around the plot are grazed by cows and in the surroundings there are also sheep.
If you travel with children, there is a trampoline and playhouse, which is used by our own children but which can also be borrowed!
We, Rickard and Lina and our three small children, have been Air Bnb hosts for almost five years and it is an experience that we appreciate very much. Meeting people from all over the world and having the opportunity to give them a great experience in Arvika is very fun. We decorate the little cottage with a little extra love and if desired, we are happy to suggest hiking, canoeing and cycling trails and other activities!
