If you want to recycle, we'd be happy to help. Collection is outside our house every second Tuesday/Wednesday. We've done all we can to make it easy for you to save water and appreciate your help protecting this precious resource.

A modern studio room with a VERY COMFORTABLE king sized bed, feather duvet and double glazed windows. There is a fridge, a microwave, kettle with tea and coffee, and an induction hotplate and utensils, but there is also an EXCELLENT deli with stunning mountain views and delicious food just up the road - the perfect spot for breakfast and for meeting friends. There are 30 bars and restaurants 10 minutes walk in the nearby vibey Kloof St. You are on holiday, you don't want to be cooking !

There is a lovely shower / sink / toilet. Bedside tables, a variety of books about Africa, and an electric hair dryer. A desk with 100 Mbps unlimited fibre internet. A selection of pamphlets listing things to do in Cape Town. Outside your door there is a fantastic pool which reaches up to 86 degrees F in Summer, with a hot outside shower. It is an extremely safe and secure place. Single women feel very safe here.

My house is next to the studio - I am there if you need me, but you have your own privacy. There is a private, gated, separate entrance on the side of the house. The residential area is extremely classy and safe - I often walk the streets at night without concern.

Park your car right outside on the road - there is plenty of parking. We all do it. There is no risk of the car being stolen.

Other things to note
Just up the road is one of the most exclusive residential areas of central Cape Town. The Premier of the Western Cape has his official residence just a few hundred metres away. I am perfectly located so that you can be in the city centre within minutes, and have easy access to all of Cape Towns main tourist attractions and beaches, but at the same time, I am away from the noise, crowds, petty crime and pollution that you get in the city centre. The houses around here have an old school charm. In areas like the City Centre, Sea Point, Observatory and even the Clifton beach area, you might come across characters in the street that make you a bit uneasy. That doesn't happen around here. We are in an oasis of calm and civility even though we are a mere 10 minute walk from the city centre.

Heated blankets are provided for extra comfort in the winter.
The entire Cottage is secured with stylish, security shutters. An outdoor perimeter alarm system is also in place.
We have no restrictions on water usage as we use borehole water that has gone through a filtration system and is safe to drink.
There are plenty of easily accessible plug outlets and adapters.
The Cottage is connected to a lithium battery back up, supplied by solar energy to combat load shedding (power failures).

Goblins Mead is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of the well-established leafy suburb of Olde Edgemead. Room 4 has a double 4-poster bed. This delightful room also has double doors leading on to the swimming pool.

The space
This small but quaint room boasts a double four-poster bed, crisp fresh white linen liberally sprinkled with rose petals and a little teddy bear for company. There is a TV with 18 channels FREE Wi-Fi, fan for the summer months and heater and hot water bottle for winter. The beautiful spacious marbled en-suite bathroom has a shower, basin and toilet. There are French doors leading out to the delightful tropical pool with waterfall for those midnight plunges on a hot balmy summers night. Consisting of the main four bedroomed house and the adjoining self-contained two bedroomed house. Goblin’s Mead, leading from a welcoming hallway into a large open plan lounge, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and scullery. It is tastefully and comfortably furnished with leather couches and beautiful eight-seater dining table and an inside braai. French doors lead into a private cool, relaxing waterfall pool and patio area. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped and is open plan to the lounge area.

Four beautifully appointed bedrooms, two double rooms with a luxurious four-poster bed for the romantic at heart or double bed which can be changed to single beds, en-suite bathrooms, TV, fan, heater and fireplaces. The third and fourth bedroom has a double four-poster bed or twin beds with easy access to the huge family bathroom with shower and bath next door.

Other things to note
Edgemead is centrally located to all amenities and major tourist attractions with easy access to the N7 and N1 highway. A quick drive takes one to Cape Town's famous Waterfront, Century City for shopping, Table Mountain, well-known wine routes (Durbanville, Stellenbosch) and a choice of white-sanded beaches. Direct access to the highway to Malmesbury, Cederberg Mountain, West Coast.

Waterfront Rooms Heaven is a self catering facility with dedicated off road parking. Some of Our Some are directly on the waters edge with spectacular views of the marina and are en suite and have a kitchenette, DSTV and WI-FI.
