The patio is shared with hte other (two?) units in the house. Very comfortable mattress with a handquilted bedspread. Nicely equipped room. At the back of the house, we found it very quiet. Checkin is in the main house and was fast and easy, although it would have been nice to have been informed of the wifi code at checkin, or to have found it in the room. Had a fabulous meal at the restaurant and it was very nice to explore the lovely village of New Hamburg before and after. Would definitely stay here again."

The space
This tiny home (14x20) has everything you need in a cozy space. The double bed tucks under the platform to become your seating space and the eating nook easily doubles as a workspace if wanted. The studio looks out into a private patio ringed by gardens, and my own extensive garden is beyond that.
I have cats and family, and the family knows that your space is yours alone, but the cats, not so much! Please keep them out of the studio by closing the screen if you want to leave the door open

Guest access
You have your own outdoor seating area in addition to the entire studio space and parking spot. I have newly added a simple, small pool (2 ft deep) which is great for cooling off. The pool is a shared space in my yard area. You are free to use it and then lounge in your patio space after your dip.

This is a completely smoke-free/pet-free unit. You may, of course, smoke outside.

I heard the recent call about the firmness of the mattress I replaced in March 2025—it is now a brand-new, softer experience!

- The Airbnb suite is attached to our primary residence, but please do not get discouraged, as the Airbnb suite is completely separate and private. It also has a separate side entrance on the left-hand side of the facility and a separate backyard oasis. Our guests' privacy is a top priority for us!

The space
The villa is located on the owners property but is completely private surrounded by gardens and agricultural land offering great views and tranquility. The pool house is beautiful with propane fireplace, seating area, full kitchen and a king bed. It is extremely warm and inviting. Outside, the pool is yours for your sole enjoyment with outdoor dinning, firepit, sun loungers and a spot for you to enjoy your morning coffee! It is the perfect spot for a staycation! Come enjoy! Enjoy staying on a country property with separate Mattawa Guest House. There are 3 separate suites, 2 with balconies. The large kitchen space is shared among the guests. Have your own private suite, stay with friends, family or book the entire guest house. Retreat into the countryside with free parking and walking distance to Elora’s Riverfest concert, festivals, activities, shops, restaurants and is a 5 min drive to downtown Fergus. You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place.

The space
The property features large outdoor space and is located across from the Elora Conservation and beside the Sunflower Farm. You can relax on your own deck, by the Garden Doors seating area or walk into Elora to explore the shops and restaurants. Spend the evening around the fire under the stars for some peace and quiet. Enjoy a unique stay in the country within walking distance to town and all the amenities.

Guest access
It is best to park at the property and walk into town. It is very busy downtown with limited parking.

During your stay
Hosts are available if needed to answer any questions. Phone number will be provided and easily reachable through text. Hosts house property, patio and greenhouses are private property and not accessible to guests.

Other things to note
The entire Mattawa Guest House is available to book the entire space and can accommodate up to 8 guests. This is a wonderful area to enjoy the outdoors - hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, tubing and more. Both Elora and Fergus are home to many great festivals and events throughout the year. Elora is definitely a place for foodies and people who love quaint towns and unique shops.

Guest access
The main house is on the property but guests will have the entire loft of the coach house at their disposal (separate from the main house). There is a side door to get into the unit that is equipped with a Nest locking system. We will give each guest their own code upon booking so that they can access the Coach House upon their arrival.

There is 1 parking space directly in front of the first garage door, and another to the left of the garage (only two spots available).
