In the "Carriage House" you will be away from the main house, in your own building! Its a 634 square foot studio-style unit, that is unique & intimate. A nice sized kitchen, complete with gas range. Spacious & bright over-sized bathroom. The Murphy bed has a luxury-firm queen mattress, & stows away in a snap for more room. A diner booth for meals, or working at home!

-BBQ: As far as outdoor dining goes, please bear with us as we are coming to the end of a large renovation and landscaping is the next one to do. That being said, you have a well maintained bbq steps from your door and a cute bistro set to enjoy the fresh air :) You will find the cooking utensils in your unit.
If you are looking for a bit more room to stretch out, not to worry, there is a larger deck area that you may be able to use from time to time, when it's free.

There is a nice bit of downtown chatter during business hours, and the windows let in lots of natural light during the day. Then it slows down and is calm in the early evening, throughout the night.
The unit spans the whole upper floor of the carriage house, and is the only one in the whole building.
-There is parking right in front of the unit, so you wont be dragging your luggage too far!
- the Wifi is fast and strong all over the WHOLE property. (**PLEASE NOTE : THE PROPERTY IS CURRENTLY UNDER RENOVATION. There is still a BBQ space and a little outdoor seating area. Once the renovations are completed we will update the listing and add pictures of our new and improved and exclusive outdoor patio area for you to enjoy.)

After the end of one guest’s stay, & before the start of another, we will first air out the apartment and then is our grooming team allowed in.
Then, the cleaning crew shall make it sparkle, with special attention paid to things like sanitizing all high-traffic/high-risk surfaces: floors, light switches, counters, door handles, bathroom fixtures & way more!
Our team is well familiar with the products & their respective dwell times, that have been certified by the EPA to annihilate viruses like covid-19 . They are also adhering to all procedures & recommendations made by Health Canada, the CDC, etc. And for longer stays, if you want an extra professional cleaning done, this service can also be arranged for you (& extra costs negotiated).
It would be impossible to completely guarantee a 100% sterile environment. The McKitrick House Inn Bed and Breakfast is a Inn with great history located in the historical district of Orangeville.
This room features a Queen size canopy bed with claw foot tub with a shower. There is also a in room sink and toilet with a room divider to separate the space.
The space
A Victorian Style home from the 1800’s that has cozy unique rooms. Some with en-suite and one with shared washroom.
We do have one cat that is friendly with our guests but we can try to minimize their access to the guest areas if requested.
Walking distance to the down town core of Orangeville.
Excellent breakfast with homemade preserves and baked goods.
