The independent welcoming Guesthouse consisting of a hall, bathroom and living room, offers you total freedom. Situated in a small hamlet of the “Vallée de l’Asse” at 10 minutes driving distance from Oraison, a small village offering standard shopping and services, the guesthouse allows you to make a stroll or take a bath in the Asse river. Swimming is also possible in the adjacent brooks (5 minutes’ drive away). At the heart of the lavender fields (Valensole) you can wander to the nearby Luberon or Verdon reserve parks. The Mediterranean Sea and South-Alpes mountains are within 1 hour reach. Manosque, Forcalquier and Digne-les-Bains are in the immediate vicinity and offer you a rich variety of sportive, cultural or artistic activities.
The living room houses a 1.8 meter large bed, equipped with adjustable slats and a comfortable mattress. The separate bathroom offers you a sink, shower and toilet.

You access the house through a window door. I'll leave you a key on the keychain of your room.

I'll suggest you join us from 5pm to 8pm. I will then be available to give you advice on outings or visits.
For any need I remain at your disposal and at your disposal. Having a busy job, I may be absent at certain times of the day but I remain available by phone or text. My English and Italian are fragile prefer text messages via Air b n B

Other things to note
My wish was not to have shutters at the windows, because I like to live to the rhythm of nature and the seasons and I hate to feel closed in, which can disturb some people...I love to admire the sunset over lavender from my room, every night is very different.
My pathway is in clay which can be painful if you have a low car or are on a motorbike, but we can't concrete, so summer is a little complicated...but no panic you can still access the house and turn around in front of the garage to better go up the path

We had been looking for over a year for a house full of history to live in with our family. In 2008, we fell in love with this 18th century country house and its outbuildings (cisterns, sheepfold, stable).

Its architecture is typical of the Valensole plateau, with walls made of pebbles from the Durance laid with lime, plastered walls and fireplaces. Its restoration took us 8 years, with difficult moments but also the satisfaction of having given new life to a piece of history...

The space
On Valensole table, famous for its lavander fields, in the heart of Haute-Provence, in the Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon, 45 minutes from the sea and an hour from the mountain, we welcome you all year in our 18th century country house, listed in the general inventory of monuments and art treasures of France.

Surrounded by 120 hectares of truffle, the Clos de la Tuilerie is located on the edge of the hamlet of Saint-Grégoire, on the old road of transhumance (draille) herds of Arles.

Calm, authenticity and panoramic views stretching from the Sainte-Baume in Dévoluy Verdon and the Luberon characterize this unique place. You will have the opportunity to go to the discovery of an often overlooked corner of Provence exceptional climate: more than 300 days of sunshine per year and a sky renowned for its purity, a paradise for amateur astronomers.

Guests can relax in the garden or by the pool, playing numerous sports (hiking, cycling, horseback riding) or cultural immediate vicinity of the deposit.

Completely restored in 2012 and awarded three stars by the Gites de France, the gite du Levant, with an area of 120m2, offers volumes atypical (vaulted room on the ground floor, high ceilings on the first floor).
