A family property, "Les Iscles" is a former 18th-century farmhouse ("Mas")/silk farm. A typically Provençal architectural ensemble, it recently underwent a thorough, but traditional restoration.
A unique living space facing the Luberon, it boasts a nice pottery workshop. It's also a cultural center that has seen the growth and continues to see the passing of internationally renowned musicians throughout the seasons.
The 3-star gîte occupies a wing of the main building while remaining independent

The space
Access to the accommodation is via an old stone staircase leading to a small terrace sheltered by an awning.
The first level features a fully equipped kitchen/dining room (stove/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, etc.) with an adjoining living room that can be used as a sleeping area if the cottage is occupied by two couples (sofa bed). At the rear, there is a children's bedroom with two bunk beds (90x190).
Upstairs, a mezzanine lounge/TV area above the kitchen provides access to two attic bedrooms: the first, a small bedroom with a single bed (90x190) occupies the former dovecote. The second, with its mansard ceiling which brings a cozy atmosphere, has a double bed (140x200). The shared bathroom (with washing machine) is also upstairs. The toilet is separate.
All rooms (except the kitchen) overlook the property's south-facing grounds, protected from the sun's heat by magnificent, centuries-old plane trees.
A characteristic of old Provençal homes, this property retains a pleasant coolness in summer behind its thick stone walls.

Free parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation. You will have up to two parking spaces. We provide a standard or multi-pin charging station for electric cars with a dedicated meter.

The region is rich in hiking trails (Lubéron, Montagne de Lure, etc.) and cycling routes. The accommodation is also located on the Mediterranean Cycle Route (EuroVelo 8) and the Tour du Lubéron.

Many places of interest can be visited nearby, including the old town of Forcalquier and its citadel, the Salagon Priory in Mane, with its museum and gardens, the Ganagobie Monastery, and the hilltop villages of Lurs, Dauphin, Oppedette, and Simiane-la-Rotonde, to name a few.

For swimming, you can visit the municipal swimming pool in Forcalquier or the brand new Aqualudique center in Manosque. 20 minutes from here, the Vannades lake offers children's play areas, a treetop adventure course, mini golf and water activities (water park, paddleboarding, canoeing, pedal boats, etc.)
