The space
The Honey Room, or rather one of our two Tiny Houses, has two separate rooms, each with a single bed.
One bed is in the front room, the other bed is in the back room (former sauna), for this bed a modest climb must be made.
The roof has a thick layer of sedum, this green blanket creates a wonderful cool climate inside the hut in the warm period and can be heated in the winter months.
Our B&B offers a lot of privacy and is cozy yet efficiently and attractively furnished for up to two people.
The log cabin has an indoor toilet, a shower and a sink.
You have access to a sheltered terrace where you can sit dry during a rain shower.
Of course, bedding, towels and breakfast are included in the price.
And there is a decent B&B bike ready for every guest, with which you can be in the old city center or on our beautiful IJssel within 10 minutes!

In recent years, we have worked hard to make our house and the log cabins more sustainable:
All electricity and hot water for the house and for the log cabins is generated by solar energy, we have 45 panels on the different roofs and thus generate 9500kW of electricity per year.
Since March 2024, we have been 100% off the gas and we heat the house with a heat pump in combination with wall heating plastered with clay.
We heat the log cabins with infrared panels, which in the dark hours/days are provided as much as possible with self-generated solar power from our 20 kWh home battery.
This 20 kWh home battery also helps to prevent imbalance on the grid, so that a coal-fired power plant has to step in (the goal is never again!!).

We live on the dike near nature reserve de Vreugderijkerwaard on the IJssel. We own a converted farmhouse with front house, haystack and 2 barns here. We ourselves live in the farmhouse. We are still renovating. In one of the barns, a space has been created, consisting of a living/sitting/sitting/bedroom. Kitchen, toilet and shower. All private for guests.
Also a terrace on the west. The space has a lot of privacy and a nice view of the dike.

Zwolle has a historic city center with many attractions, such as Museum de Fundatie and Waanders in de Broeren, restaurants that are famous for their culinary feats such as De Librije, cozy terraces and pubs, a cozy city center with welcoming shoppers and of course plenty of opportunities for an evening out, such as theater Odeon de Spiegel.

In the neighborhood:
100 meters away from our farm is the Vre Joyhoeve (sheep farm with restaurant). From our location there are many cycling routes, including around Zwolle, junction routes, etc.

We have 2 large shepherd dogs and a cat. The youngest dog is out a lot of. He is cheerful, playful, punky but very sweet. Note: There are stable windows in the space. With very strong winds from the south/southwest, it can therefore somewhat travel in the room. We are not allowed to adjust these windows due to the fact that the property is a monument. Of course, there is central heating available, but also a wood-burning stove that can be used.

Tourist tax: As of January 1, 2025, the municipality of Zwolle charges tourist tax 3.00 per person per night. This amount must be paid to us separately (cash or via Tikkie). When booking, you can also indicate that 1 person will come (even if there are 2), that will save half of the tourist tax.

The residential park is located in a Zwolse canal on the outskirts of downtown . You have a great view over the water in our bed and breakfast. Our bed and breakfast is divided into a living area and sleeping area. The living area has a pantry. There is also a nice seating area with smart TV + internet.The sleeping area is equipped with bath / shower / WC . You will stay in a spacious double box spring. There is a possibility to add an extra bed.

If you feel like having a chat, need help planning a trip or activities or just want a cup of coffee you can come and find me anytime. If I have time I am always up for a chat. In the morning you can usually find me downstairs in the kitchen making breakfast for guests or cleaning or preparing one of the rooms after 10:00.

If you feel like joining us for a walk with the dog you are welcome to come along (we usually go to the Vreugderijkerwaard for a walk along the river IJssel on the dijk or we take the path through the fields (Laarzenpad) or to the Hasselterdijk, along the river Zwartewater for a run, walk or a little trip by bicycle).

If you don't really want any contact and have no need for a chat that is absolutely fine too ofcourse. Then I will only check if you need any clean towels, have any laundry, need the room to be cleaned and I will switch your garbage bag.

Our cozy space with private entrance through the garage was once a doctor's treatment room. The location is only 2 km from the city center of Zwolle and 2 minutes walk to a small shopping center with 5 different options to eat. Making something simple yourself can also use the kitchenette. From here, you'll be out of town for a hike or run. There are beautiful cycling routes including around Zwolle and any bicycles can be brought inside.

Welcome to 't Sinkhofje, where everything is available for a few wonderful days.
Through a private entrance, you can reach the kitchen and the small but comfortable living room. On the first floor, you will find the bathroom and the bedroom with two single box springs. Outside on your own terrace, you can enjoy the afternoon and evening sun.
Our cottage is within walking distance of the beautiful IJssel. The old town of Zwolle can be reached by bike in fifteen minutes.

Other things to note
The overnight stays are in principle without breakfast. But we are happy to provide an extensive breakfast. The costs are then 10 euros per person (you can pay on the spot).
