All linen and wood for fires is supplied and parking is free. We are from a hospitality background and understand the importance of a well equipped property.
We are committed to the environment and ask if you are using the heater or air-conditioner please only use these items if the doors are closed, respect for our planet.

The Cabin is a hand built, open plan and fully self-contained space that sleeps two.
It features a stylish timeless interior with many quality design pieces and is perfect for a serene getaway.
The Cabin's a hideaway that understands its commitment to the environment.

The garden is large and requires gardeners who are active on the property, if they are scheduled to visit we will inform you. At times Caretakers live or are close by to the property and we will advise if they are scheduled to visit.

The space
There is one luxury bedroom that has a plush handmade solid wood Queen bed with luxury linen, a dresser, wardrobe and stunning leather couch with soft luxurious cushions.

There is everything you could want to feel spoilt and have a romantic farm escape. If you’re a couple or travelling solo, the Cabin is the perfect haven to experience seclusion and privacy.

The property has beautiful gentle slopes that lead into deep tree fern gullies and over years we developed an extensive landscape of European and Australian native plants, shrubs and trees, which is ever changing with the seasons.

The farm garden has now matured. You will find an abundance of fresh herbs, seasonal fruits, foliage and flowers, which are picked annually and are grown using organic practices.

We hope that others will get as much enjoyment out of experiencing The Cabin as we have had creating this special place.
Other things to note
- Please report if there happens to be any damages. Damages are to be paid for by guests.
- Lots of native animals birds, kangaroos, koala’s, kookaburras and many more. So please respect them, we recommend not disturbing them.

Getting around
No public transport. You will need a car.
From Tullamarine Airport 2.5 hours.
From Melbourne, 2 hours
From Geelong, 1 hour Train/Bus V/Line bus travels the great ocean road and stops in Lorne.

Other items to note:
Kangaroos live in the area, the big greys, you will see them mostly dawn and dusk. They will be active on the property so don't be afraid, do not approach them.

Ocean Acres is set on 11 acres of beautiful natural bush with magnificent tall gum trees, ocean views and friendly wildlife including kangaroos, kookaburras, rosellas and, occasionally a friendly koala. 'Retro' is a stand-alone, fully self contained 1 Queen bed unit that is full of character and is set away from the main house in its own area on a gently sloping block.

Retro has a large lounge complete with leather lounges, a wooden fireplace and a reverse cycle air conditioner and heater. The unit has a brand new kitchenette with 2 burner stove, air fryer, microwave etc. The bedroom has a Queen bed with beautiful en-suite.

You will have exclusive use of the unit, your own carport and are free to wander the ocean view property as you wish.

We are approximately 3km from the Lorne town centre by road (or about 1.5km via a bush walking track) so far enough away for a peaceful, relaxing break taking in the bush and ocean views but close enough to get to the beach and the numerous coffee shops, restaurants and shops in Lorne.

Blackwood is a one-bedroom cottage set on Gadubanud country, amongst the Great Otway National Park.
The cottage provides a place to unwind and enjoy all that the local area has to offer – beaches, bush walks, waterfalls, eateries/bars and cellar doors to name a few. Blackwood offers all of this at its doorstep while providing a sanctuary for rest and relaxation in a beautiful bush setting.

The space
Blackwood features a mezzanine bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed and a dedicated workstation. The living room downstairs is cozy and inviting, with a wood-burning fireplace for the colder months and a split system providing both heating and cooling. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need, including an induction stove, oven, toaster, kettle, and coffee and tea supplies. In the bathroom, you'll find a shower, a washing machine, and a separate toilet. Outside, there's a BBQ on the deck, perfect for outdoor dining.

The tariff is for 2 adults. If there are additional guests children are $30/night and adults are $50/night. If more bed have been slept in than has been booked for, an additional $50/per bed/per night will be charged. A bond will be taken for adult groups of 5.

Guest access
Guests can access the walking track, yabby dam and adventure ropes course on the property and Lorne's beautiful beaches, waterfalls cafes, restaurants and the Great Ocean Road are just a few minutes drive away.

Other things to note
When booking direct, half the total tariff is required to confirm the booking and the remainder is required the day before arrival. We reserve the right to request bonds at any time.

If paying by credit or debit card a 1.5% surcharge will apply to all transactions.

Check-in is from 2pm until 9pm and check out is at 10am.

We have a strict policy on noise and rowdy behaviour. We expect all guests to respect the quiet enjoyment of other guests. Failure to respect this policy may result in you being asked to leave without a refund. We reserve the right to request bonds at any time.

Strictly 'NO SMOKING' in the accommodation. Failure to comply will result in a minimum $200 charge to guest credit card due to the inability to rent to following guests.

Additional cleaning charges apply if the accommodation isn't left tidy. Guests are responsible for any damage to the accommodation or its contents. The cost of any repairs or replacements required will be charged to guest's credit card.
