- "Wonderful chalet with three beds for the price I would have paid for one room in hotel. Friendly helpful staff and exclusive parking a short walk away. The cottage is very modern inside. - "This is a lovely little property, ideal for a couple or a couple with a young child. The owners, who live next door, were very friendly and helpful and Carol enjoyed practicing her French on them. It's well equipped, with everything you need. The decor is perhaps a little tired but this didn't bother us as it seemed very 'French' and everything was very clean. We loved the veranda at the back and ate all our meals and sat in the evening there. It's a very quiet location, very peaceful. We loved it! There's plenty to do in the area; Montlucon is not far away if you want city stuff. We don't! Lovely quiet medieval towns like Souvigny, Charroux and Herrisone. That's more our thing. If you are more active then there is plenty of good walking or cycling, especially in the nearby gorges. But there's no Alton Towers or Disneyland: Hooray! The pool is shared with the other tenants, but it is rarely to never busy because the river is close and not everyone is on site continuously.

Saint-Mélany is relatively secluded. The nearest supermarket is a 30 minute car ride away.

The cottage built in the 18th century offers an area of 117 m2 on 2 levels. It is intended to accommodate 7 people in the 3 bedrooms located upstairs as well as 2 children under 2 years of age (crib). All beds can be paired on request.
It also offers a private terrace of 22m2 as well as a shelter for your bikes.

The space
Le Mas du Coteau consists of a gite and the owners live in another wing of the building not overlooked between the two. It is located in the middle of the fields, on a small hill with panoramic views from the Saoû forest and its three Becs to the perched village of Marsanne.
He has been contemplating these landscapes for 250 years, having crossed eras that give it a unique soul that we wanted to keep during its restoration.
Inside and outside the cottage, everything invites you to relax, to let you be carried away by the tranquility of the place while enjoying the beneficial rays of the sun and the scents of the different plants.

On the ground floor you will find the entrance with a hallway that serves the living room, a toilet, the kitchen/dining room.
Upstairs are the 3 bedrooms, one with a shower room, a toilet, the shower room.

Guest access
Access to the cottage is via a path independent of our home that leads to the parking lot.

Five apartments (from 25 to 60 m2), one bedroom and one common room make up this residence. You can settle in with family, with friends or with colleagues. You can meet in the common room of more than 50 m2 to eat (equipped kitchen dedicated to this room), work or relax.
