Our gite was constructed in 2007. Architect designed, it sleeps 4 people and has been built and furnished in a classical style to capture the relaxed warmth of the Midi-Pyrnees region.

The Gite Living Area is open-planned with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. With its high ceiling, roof beams and spiral staircase, the living area has a very spacious feel to it.

In the summer the French windows add to the spaciousness with views onto the garden and, in the winter, the wood burning stove gives a warm and cozy feeling to the gite. The gite is well insulated and remains cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

The gite is located in our garden, at a good distance from our house so as to allow privacy. Next to the gite is a small orchard and renters are welcome to pick cherries, plums and apricots when they are in season.

The gite has two terraces - the front terrace has views onto the garden while the shaded back terrace has views over farmland, with woodland in the background.

We also went to many nearby attractions including Toulouse (45 mins), the hilltop town of Cordes-Sur-Ciel (1 hour), and also spent a day seeing the Pyrenees around the town of Foix (1.5 hours). There are lots of wineries that offer tastings and sales as well as picturesque towns to explore within a half hour drive of the cottage. Rosette and Anton are wonderful hosts and offered many suggestions for activities. We would love to go back and stay at the Gite again on our next visit!"

Long weekend? Toulouse/Blagnac airport is about 70 kms - 1 hour 15mins away!

Ideal for 2 to 4 people, our recently restored, tastefully decorated, 2 bedroomed vacation cottage and swimming pool is situated in a small hamlet in the depths of the French countryside about 10 minutes drive from the pretty town of St.Antonin-Noble-Val - 82140 and the beautiful little village of Penne du Tarn - 81140. Cordes-sur-Ciel is about 20 minutes drive.

INSIDE THE COTTAGE:

Downstairs is an open plan kitchen, dining area and living room, light and airy with the three French windows giving access to the swimming pool, the front courtyard and the ‘inside/outside’ room. The whole house is very well insulated and for those cooler days in spring and autumn, there is a cosy wood burning stove downstairs that keeps the whole house beautifully warm!

Upstairs are two bedrooms and one bathroom. Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds (which could be pushed together for an extra large double). Bedroom 2 has a large double bed and French windows that open onto the large upstairs balcony which overlooks the garden and swimming pool areas (great for star gazing at night). I decided on a white and black décor for the bedrooms - light, modern and fun to sleep in!

OUTSIDE AREAS:

The pool, the sun deck, the outdoor 'rooms' - for swimming, relaxing , reading, barbecue, eating, playing - or whatever - YOU ARE ON HOLIDAY!

The swimming pool is 4m x 8m with wide shallow Roman steps which are ideal for young children and less sporty types who feel toe dipping is enough and sun worshipping on one of the chic black loungers is more to their liking. Yes, the sun deck is expansive and the parasols are on wheels, so you can move around and follow the sun or find some shade.

Between the house and the pool is the rear terrace with dining table, chairs and barbecue for al fresco eating and comfortable outdoor chairs for reading and relaxing.

On the other side of the cottage is the walled front courtyard. A very pleasant area to sit and relax.

From the courtyard you can go though the big wooden red doors and explore the HAMLET of FABRE DE LAGRANGE. Go and say bonjour to the chickens across the path, walk to the end of the hamlet and perhaps take a walk along the marked pathway which can take you to the village of PENNE if you feel up to it, otherwise just take a stroll to take in the magnificent views over the Forest of the Gresigne and the Château de Penne.

The cottage is situated at the far end of our large main house, so is semi-detached with your own private entrance. Martin and I live at the other end and are happy to help with any additional information about the cottage and things to do and places to visit when out and about in this area of South West France. Most of the time, we will be in our little studio at the end of the garden where we make deluxe photo frames that we sell all over the world via our Etsy internet shop. You are very welcome to take the short walk up the garden and come and visit us in our framing studio - you might find some frames to take home!

This privileged situation, in the "golden triangle" of Albi (episcopal city a World Heritage Site by UNESCO), in Cordes (favorite French village in 2014) and Gaillac (whose wines delight the taste buds for two millennia and can be eaten at will in many old and famous cellars) makes it easy to visit the country with many wineries and beautiful Southwest houses, browse the scenic hiking trails, Tarn bike or horse ...

The house is entered via a private patio area which has a table and seating for 6. A BBQ is provided and a sun canopy with outside lighting ensuring the perfect ambiance for al-fresco dining. The views from the patio look across the complex and over the Viaur valley.. Through the front door you enter the large kitchen diner. The kitchen is fitted to a very high standard with separate freezer and fridge, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and gas hob with extractor. It is fully stocked to enable full cooking facilities including over work-top lighting. There is a large oak dining table with seating for 6 in the kitchen.
Through the kitchen is the salon providing a lovely cool area to relax with ample seating for 6. Just off the salon is the shower room + WC. Up the restored chestnut staircase leading from the kitchen you reach the two large bedrooms and family bathroom. The large master bedroom is full of character with beams and exposed stonework and offers a relaxing calm environment. The second bedroom has 3 single beds with two chest of draws and room for a cot. It has exposed stone walls and beams.

The property is one of three gites located on this pretty rustic complex. Next to the property is the laundry with a washing machines and a dryer, this is a shared facility with the other gites. Opposite the gite there is a games store with table tennis, table football, badminton equipment and various outdoor games..

On site the grounds offer picnic tables, two children's play areas and the large shared swimming pool. In the garden there is a pétanque pitch and boules are available for use if you don't have your own.

The Gîte Nature Bien-Etre Piscine Chauffée Privée is located in a relaxing and soothing place in the heart of nature, very accessible 5 km from the highway between Albi and Toulouse. This stone-built accommodation has bioclimatic insulation. Modern, Current, it is very well equipped with its beautiful kitchen with espresso coffee machine, smoothie blinder... and a multitude of dishes to delight the taste buds. A stay with a soothing decoration set on nature where you will enjoy relaxing in the 2 sofas . In the evening, you will discover the 2 cocooning bedrooms where you can love yourself in hotel-grade bedding, one is equipped with a queen size bed in 160/200, the other bedroom with a 140 bed and a futon sofa bed, and a 4th bed with a sofa bed in 160 from the living room. In the morning or evening after a day exploring, enjoy 2 pretty bathrooms equipped with shower. From breakfast, enjoy the terraces, overlooking the meadows welcoming our 5 sheep, with the scent of nature, lulled by the singing of the doves. Guests have access to this accommodation by following the signs of Art de Bien-Etre in Peyrole.

We invite you to come and discover our site "lescottagesdutarn". Le Vigne Rouge in the countryside of Brens, very accessible 800m from the A68 between Albi and Toulouse, ideal during this time to de-stress and where to work remotely close to nature.
The Vigne Rouge cottage, in the heart of the Gaillac vineyard, is surrounded by fields, arranged in a part of the Domaine des Cottages de Gaillac, close to the dwelling and the building of the former owners, very easy to access, 2 minutes from the center of Gaillac and all shops.
This Le Vigne Rouge cottage of 45 m² is very friendly and warm to accommodate 4 to 6 people. You discover as soon as you arrive, a private entrance to the Domaine des Cottages with parking to easily park your vehicle. You also see the terrace overlooking nature, where a garden furniture welcomes you to suggest an aperitif with our welcome gift!
Thanks to its glass window, the brightness of the living room-kitchen highlights the call to laze with a sofa where you can warmly settle in to share wonderful convivial moments around a soothing and pleasant decoration.
Amenities such as Smart TV, YouTube, and Fiber WiFi are also available for free.
You can prepare delicious recipes in the well-equipped kitchen, then enjoy them around the dining table for 6 guests or outside, on your terrace or in your garden. Also, very close, you can treat yourself with a very good restaurant La Planque des Bons Vivants 800m from the Cottages de Brens-Gaillac.

The house is comfortable, well heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer (if you are not a fan of air conditioning there is a good fan ;)
It consists of a single room, with a sleeping area (160 bed), a bathroom with shower and sink (separate toilet) and a living area with equipped kitchen. Deckchairs and garden furniture on the stilt terrace.
Another terrace with a Nordic bath, in nature, at the bottom, with a beautiful view and in the shade of the trees is also reserved for you.
A bowling alley is at your disposal. Bike rental nearby.

Ideal accommodation for a couple (possibly with a baby under one year old).
Bed and bath linen is provided (including bathrobes). Breakfast ingredients also provided as well as spices, oil, vinegar...).
Baby crib on request.

The Nordic bath is an experience! You'll need to make a fire in the fireplace to bring the water up to about 40°. It takes about 2/3 hours to bring the water to temperature, then you can enjoy it for a very long time, if necessary by adding wood from time to time. I'll explain everything on site and everything is provided. But don't worry, it's not complicated and it's just delicious!
