- "Michaugues is a very small town in Burgundy. The next town with all facilities you need for buying food and other stuff is around 30 Kilometers. Michaugues is very good for visitors which like to hike or making tours with bikes. For all other purposes you have to expect longer routes with your car. The vacation house has enough space for a family with two kids (two seperate bedrooms) and ist fully equiped, included a dishwasher, a microwave and a washing machine. The landlords, which living nearby in the neighbour house are very friendly and helpful. They speaking french (of course) and a very good english and they like it if the visitors bring along a nice pet, like a dog. The pretty cottage has a relaxing patio area overlooking the enclosed garden and field and valley behind. It's the ideal area in which to unwind during the warm weather whilst enjoying a barbecue and a glass of the local wine.

Inside, La Petite Grange is cosy and welcoming, you'll feel right at home the instant you walk through the door.

The kitchen has all that you need for your visit, whether you wish to cook up a gastronomic meal or just warm-up a pizza!

The living/dining room is very comfortable with a sofa and two armchairs in front of the woodburner (logs supplied). The TV has french channels but also a DVD player with an extensive film collection. A dining table, big enough for 6 adults overlooks the patio and garden.

Upstairs there are the two bedrooms, a double and a twin, with good quality beds, made and ready for your slumber. The modern shower room and WC is situated in-between the two bedrooms. Towels are provided as is extra linen should it be required.

There is also a wooden cot in the main room that can also act as a very small bed for a toddler. Baby equipment, changing mat, small baby bath etc are provided, as is a high chair for meal times. A travel cot is also provided.

Electricity is included in the fee, (a small contribution will be requested however for the charging of electric cars, please consult us).

The owners, Jim (English) and Ophélie (French), live next door and are readily available to provide any assistance, advice or help if you require it.

Newly restored, this lovely home is located in the village of Montsoreau which is labelled 'one of the most beautiful villages in France'. The house is on three levels with a double en-suite bedroom on the first floor and another en-suite bedroom on the 2nd floor.
There is a large salon with dining area, which leads onto the kitchen. Large doors open onto a small walled courtyard, which is a lovely spot to take your morning breakfast with croissants from one of the best bakeries in the area, just a few minutes walk from Le Seize.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to rustle up a gourmet meal with local ingredients found in the weekly Sunday market. Alternatively, you could try one of the may restaurants in the village minutes away from Le Seize. The village is located on the Loire river where you take a boat trip, go fishing, kayaking, there is even a beach close by for sunbathing. Plenty of places to visit too, you will be spoilt for choice! Saumur is a 15 minute drive with its restaurants, bars and boutiques for a little bit of window shopping. Many famous Chateaux to visit close by. And of course if you like wine this is the best region to enjoy a day or two wine tasting at the many vineyards in the area and to visit the famous sparkling wine houses of Ackerman, Bouvet - Ladubay, Gratien Meyer, Veuve Amiot to name but a few. If you visit the wine cellars of Ackerman as well as wine tasting, don't forget to visit the caves and enjoy the art installations as you wind yourself around the interior of the caves. Close to the medieval town of Chinon, take the opportunity to visit the Thursday morning market and enjoy a glass of wine on the square and watch the world go by.
