On the mezzanine floor you will find a comfortable double bed with quality bed linen for a good nights rest and luxurious robes to snuggle into after enjoying a shower. The Nevedic Woods have many paths leading to the Blavet River, where you will find a weir and a small bar (open throughout the high season). The woods provide excellent opportunities for mountain biking. Along the River Blavet runs a cycle/footpath passing through towns and hamlets from Pontivy to the coast. This pathway is perfect for walking, running, fishing and especially cycling.

The small village of Quistinic can also be reached via Nevedic Woods for those who like a good walk (25 minutes). Here you will find a shop selling many general household items including fresh bread, cakes and milk. There is also a pharmacy, postal service, creperie with bar and a small bar/newsagent.

Large supermarkets, bars, restaurants and numerous shops can be found in Baud or Bubry, both a 20 minute drive away. There are many beaches within a 45 minutes drive. If you like browsing town markets there is at least one to be found everyday.

The spec on the property was really great - good linen, fluffy towels( too many - we didn’t use them all) , even fluffy robes and toiletries. Clean and bright and just great all round. There was a lovely welcome pack including local cider and fresh eggs from the hosts’ own hens. Linda and David were very helpful suggesting walks around the area we could take, and even gave us maps and rain jackets to use as well. The whole site is fabulous and we had freedom to wander round and see what was going on in the very substantial garden area. Tucked in a wee private corner is the wood fired hot tub which was perfect after dark watching the stars come out. Really hope we will be back sometime soon, but I’d thoroughly recommend for anybody looking for a quiet restful time in the Breton countryside. Also we had our dog with us and she loved it too and was made most welcome!"

Our cosy, two bedroom cottage, La petite grange (The little barn), shares an entrance hall with another of our gites, Le grenier, and is situated in the middle of our stone longere.

The cottage can sleep up to 4 people in one double and two single beds, and like its neighbour, has an airy open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge on the ground floor, and doors leading out to the private garden. It also features a wood-burning stove, with the first basket of logs supplied free. On the first floor, the hallway leads to one double room, a twin room, and a large family shower room.

- "Arlette made us very welcome with some very helpful emails before we arrived, and waiting for us in the gite were some delightful biscuits, cake, fruit tart, fresh juice, and fresh flowers - a nice touch. The gite itself is gorgeous! It has clearly been converted from its original use to a gite to a very high standard, and with great style. The bed is the most comfortable (and biggest) that we have ever found in France, and the modern bathroom is very well appointed. The kitchen, though small, is extremely well equipped, so was perfect for our stay. Outside is a tidy garden with sun loungers, and table and chairs. The village itself is really pretty, and there are two excellent restaurants and a tapas bar literally on the doorstep. Au Fil des Saisons serves pretty stunning food (80 euros for two including a lovely bottle of wine), and The Chalet crêperie serves excellent galettes and crêpes at a very reasonable price (38 Euros for two including wine) but you should reserve a table for both as they are popular. There are supermarkets, bakeries etc, either 3 or 6 miles away, and Pontivy and Josselin are pretty close for days out. We feel very lucky to have found this gem, and hope to return before too long."

The Annexe and the owners' home are on 2.3 hectares of delightful grounds which are totally private and fully fenced (to preserve your privacy and the safety of your children).
The Annexe is an original stone cottage attached to the owner's house but still a completely private dwelling. It still has features from the past, such as the original wooden beams and the Breton granite fireplace from the old days. The fireplace can be used in the colder months. The price of the logs is NOT included in the rental price. It depends on the amount of wood you order. If you wish to use the Breton fireplace, please ask for the price of the wood.
Carport and clotheslines, private patio with stone barbecue, table with six chairs and parasol. Sun loungers are also provided. Beyond the patio, The Annexe overlooks a large fenced area where there is an aboveground swimming pool (air-thermal assisted heating at 27° centigrade) located nearby, as well as several leisure facilities (swings, trampoline, picnic table, playhouse, etc.) for the very young - all within sight of the parents.
Please note: We receive many requests for the exclusive use of the pool. Our pool is NOT open to the public but is shared with guests who have booked into our Hibou Cottage and with us (the owners).
For our quieter guests, we have family games such as chess, backgammon, cards, etc.
For our older and more active visitors, we have petanque balls, badminton rackets and shuttlecocks and volleyball and table tennis.
