This house, located on the outskirts of a hamlet, about 10 minutes from the GR 340 (stage between Sauzon and Locmaria), is located in a garden shared with our home. It offers an ideal break for walkers and lovers of nature and calm. The property can accommodate 2 people. Apart from walkers, it is best to have a means of transportation to make the most of your stay, as we are in the countryside.
The space
The accommodation includes 1 living room and fitted kitchen, bathroom on the ground floor with laundry area and toilet. Upstairs is a large and beautiful bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom and toilet, as well as plenty of storage and views of the large lighthouse. A private wooden terrace allows you to enjoy the sunrise in the east as well as the sunset in the west.
Guest access
For walkers or cyclists, it is more convenient to go through the small wooden gate.
A bicycle rack, outside is provided next to the wooden terrace, it is also possible, on request, to store the bicycles in a sheltered, closed room.
Guests traveling by car can instead go through the large wooden sliding gate and park their vehicle diagonally on the left side. They will then only need to cross the garden to reach the small house, or go through the wooden terraces.
Other things to note
We're unable to accept pets.
During the low season (between the November and Easter school holidays), please let us know if you have any questions about your trip, and we'll be happy to help you find solutions if needed.
The house is located in a garden shared with our main house. We are committed to being discreet and respecting the privacy of our tenants, and to improving our rental as we receive feedback from guests.
Some of our tenants have brought to our attention and I give you here their thoughts: the hiking trail that goes around Belle-Île is advertised as being accessible to beginners, this is not the opinion of seasoned walkers who found it physically demanding (it goes up and down a lot), the rain can make it slippery, and the strong gusts of wind particularly uncomfortable.
That said, many walkers passing through the house have not complained. It is likely that climatic conditions strongly influence impressions and feelings.
A little thought for cyclists too, we prefer to warn them that Belle-ile is not flat but very hilly. There are large coasts in places and again the wind can either push you or slow you down when you have it in front of you. It is advisable to have good cycling experience and, in case of rental, to opt for an electrically assisted cycle. The starting coast from Palais to Super U is of a good level and has surprised more than one.
