With delightful views over the surrounding countryside, Lamorna Cottage is a perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the best of South Cornwall, including numerous great beaches nearby. Part of an attractive stone barn on Tucoyse Farm (no longer a working farm) which dates back to the Doomsday Book. Period character features include stone elevations, wooden framed windows, broad slate sills and exposed beams. A comfortable and freshly-decorated lounge now with a log-burning stove and Smart TV, spacious dining room, newly fitted kitchen with washing machine and dish-washer. And upstairs (newly decorated) the bathroom and two bedrooms (double and twin) with new beds. Plus free WiFi throughout. In addition to our own lawned garden with a new summerhouse (containing some fun beach gear) hidden behind the willow tree, there is a further walled garden (shared) with lawn at the front. Also French doors at the back opening onto a graveled courtyard area with benches, perfect for an al fresco breakfast. There's also a stone plinth designed for disposable barbecues. We're just two minutes from Polmassick Vineyard; 1 mile from The Crown at St Ewe, a great traditional pub with good food; and 3 miles to the lovely beach at Caerhays Castle. The very popular Lost Gardens of Heligan are only 3 miles up the road, Mevagissey is 4 miles away as are at least 5 more decent beaches, each with its own character. The Eden Project is a short drive. Waitrose has just opened up on the way into Truro, a cathedral city which has plenty of other decent shops. Tesco and Asda are also within reach. (One guest arranged delivery from Sainsbury's). The coastal walking along the Roseland Heritage Coast between Mevagissey and St Mawes offers some of the most spectacular and unspoilt scenery in the country, including hidden beaches and coves, tiny fishing villages and majestic sea cliffs (now designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
- "Lovely 2 bedroomed cottage. Very well equipped in quiet location near to Mevagissey. Really enjoyed our stay, very peaceful and relaxing and a nice location to base our trips around Cornwall." - "A very nice cottage and location for many of Cornwalls tourist locations." - "This is a lovely cottage in a fabulous, peaceful location. There are no amenities close by, so you have to drive which was not a problem to us as we combined shopping with other trips. Close to the lovely fishing port of Mevagissey which had lots of bars and restaurants as well as a fish and chip shop. St Austell was only 5 miles away where there is an Asda and a Tesco. The cottage had everything you could possibly need - extremely well equipped and obviously recently refurbished. The only very slight comment would be that maybe a slightly larger television (thought the one that was there was a very good smart tv). Also maybe another set of crockery as there was sonly 4 place settings - this was fine as it is a 4 person property but as it has a fabulous full size dishwasher it meant we put the dishwasher on more than we needed!! The other slight criticism was the check in/ check out times. You couldn't get in until 5pm, and had to vacate by 9am. Even taking into consideration covid, this is still quite a large window and most other properties we have rented are check-in from 2pm and vacate by 10am. Nonetheless a fabukous holiday in a wonderful cottage - we will definitely return."

- "Very comfortable cottage in a beautiful location, and a short walk to the beach. Our check in went smoothly and our contact, Nicky, was very responsive. The cottage is very well equipped, and very comfortable, with great beds and a well stocked kitchen. There was even a bottle of bubbly in the fridge! The area is relatively remote, but you can walk to the beach at Port Holland, which has a little cafe, and follow the coastal path to Caerhays, where there is a larger cafe. And be prepared for driving along very narrow roads. All in all, a lovely stay in great accommodation. Highly recommended."

- "It was a wonderful stay and Nikki provided us with a starter pack. The oven malfunctioned during our stay and Nikki got it fixed within hours after telling her. Awesome. She even surprised us with a good port wine for this "inconvenience". For us electric bound guests, this was the first time ever to have a sufficient number of power outlets. The fenced yard is perfect for dogs, it is only a short walk down to the beach. Everything about the property is perfect. If there was a possibility to give more stars, i definitely would."

Willow Barn is quite simply lovely! It is a very well-presented and finished holiday cottage set deep in a quiet rural location in the lush Cornish countryside, but only minutes from many pretty sandy beaches and coves. This ’upside down’ detached cottage provides the best views from the living area and balcony. It has a bright, stylish, open-plan living area with original beams and a large balcony through the bi-folding doors where you can relax with a glass of your favourite tipple. The owner lives adjacent and is on hand should you need advice or assistance during your stay.
The historic fishing village of Mevagissey is 3½ miles away, with narrow lanes that all seem to lead to the pretty, bustling, working harbour. Here you will find many great pubs serving local food and ales, quaint coffee shops, and some great local independent shops. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, a formerly overgrown and ‘lost’ gem of a garden, has been restored and is worth a visit, even if it’s to see the ‘jungle’ and play hide and seek with the kids.
There are pretty sub-tropical gardens to visit, stunning scenery, quaint fishing villages, and beaches, many with sailing, diving, and kayaking. Porthpean, 4 miles away, is a favourite with the locals who kayak along the coast looking for seals that bask on the quiet beaches. The Eden Project is another world-class attraction within easy reach. Fowey is nearby, a seafaring town and former home of Daphne Du Maurier. It makes a great day out, especially for the restaurants and the cafés. You can catch a ferry from here to Mevagissey in the high season (weather permitting) and is a great way to see the coastline of St Austell Bay.
There is a wealth of activities locally including surfing, sailing, swimming, walking, horseriding, and many cycle trails with bike hire available. For golfers, there are plenty of courses from St Austell to Carlyon Bay’s excellent links course with stunning sea views. Beach 4 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

The water is from a spring, well or borehole, and not a mains supply.
There is open water in the property grounds.
- "My mum stayed in the cottage over the Christmas holidays. It’s fully equipped and was beautifully decorated over her stay. Everything about it was top class and we would definitely use it again. Irene was very welcoming and was there when we arrived thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Michele" - "Four of us - two couples - spent a very pleasant if partly rainy November week in Willow Barn, which is nicely situated, warm, and in most respects very well-equipped and comfortable. A lot of the equipment was in fact new or very nearly new when we visited. Our hosts Tom and Irene were pleasant and helpful, but also unobtrusive. Very minor downsides were:- + several light bulbs had expired in the kitchen area; + the shower attachment over the bath was in poor condition and not practically usable as a shower if wanted (but the separate shower room worked excellently); + the dining table and chairs are very cramped between the log-burner and the side of the sitting room - manageable and probably unavoidable, but a bit awkward. The plus side far outweighs these minor negatives and we would quite likely visit again."

Vose Farm is an outstanding holiday cottage complex situated in a glorious rural position at the head of the Roseland Peninsula.
Vose Farm is situated just outside the historic village of Tregony, known to many as the “gateway” to the Roseland Peninsula. One of the most unspoilt areas in Cornwall and designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Roseland is widely renowned for its beautiful coastline and scenic countryside. Standing on the eastern side of the River Fal, The Peninsula extends from Tregony to St. Anthony’s Head, much being the ownership of the local Tregothnan Estate and The National Trust.
St Mawes is perhaps the best known destination on the peninsula and needs little introduction as the up-market sailing community renowned for Olga Polizzi’s Hotel Tresanton. Set around the sheltered and picturesque natural harbour at the mouth of the Percuil River, St. Mawes offers direct access to the Fal Estuary and Carrick Roads with some of the finest day sailing waters in the country. Regular racing is organized by St. Mawes Sailing Club with further water sports available on the Percuil River.
The nearest beach is at Porthluney with other notable nearby beaches including Pendower, Carne and Porthbeor. The pretty classic small fishing village of Portloe is approximately 6 miles to the south with Portscatho slightly further away. The Southwest Coast Path provides a variety of beautiful walks along this stretch of coastline including Dodman Point and Nare Head, both of which are in the ownership of the National Trust.
Tregony is just less than 3 miles away where there are general stores, doctors, and a dentist. There are a variety of country pubs in the surrounding area including The Crown Inn at St. Ewe and The Kings Head at Ruan Lanihorne. The Cathedral city of Truro is approximately 11 miles distance and now forms the commercial heart of the county with an extensive range of commercial, professional, shopping and entertainment facilities. In the city centre there is a flagship Marks and Spencer Store, multi-screen cinema and The Hall for Cornwall theatre.
- "a quiet relaxing residence with 7 acres of wood to walk the dogs who loved it and easy drive to the coast the cottage had everything we needed managed a different location each day with a maximum drive of 12 miles - would definitely visit again" - "Very nice barn conversion which met all our needs. We had some fabulous coastal walks despite the weather. It was always lovely and warm and cosy when we got back to the cottage. Thank you for a very lovely break x Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo" - "A cosy well appointed cottage in a lovely rural location. Ideal for a couple looking for a quiet holiday away from the crowds. The very friendly owners went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, starting off with a very generous welcome pack. The cottage had all the amenities you needed especially a king size bed, fabulous shower and handy dishwasher. The downside for us was the remote location meaning we had to drive up narrow lanes to get anywhere and the nearest town Mevagissy was some 5 miles away, a bit of a mission if you went out for the evening. The nearest pub 'The Crown' was around a mile away, not easily walkable, which provided average food from a small menu. Overall we enjoyed our stay here but would have preferred a more accessible location. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo"

Locals relate that 2 Mill Lane was once a butler’s pantry! In the late 1600’s Frogmore House (still accessed through the gateway at the top of Frog Lane) was a substantial farmhouse and both it and what is now Frogmore Corner (our other property next door), plus little Froglets were all one residence. You can still see at the bottom of the stairs where the connecting door once was and imagine how the butler busied himself preparing and storing food for his employers. He probably slept here and so would have woken to the same wonderful view.
The original chimney till stands and the fireplace which no doubt contained a wood fired stove, has been sympathetically restored to house a modern electric cooker. Views several hundred years ago must have been very similar as the river Fal still winds its way through the fields. It has long since silted up however so that big boats can no longer dock, as they used to, at the port of Tregony. Today the lush fields are full of yellow flag iris in spring and birds dip and dive along the river bank while sea gulls circle above. The footpath along Frog Lane drops down to Tregony Bridge, then borders the river bank, winding back up Mill Lane itself, a perfect morning trot for dog walkers.
Mill Lane is flooded with sunlight from late morning to the evening and there are little benches tucked under the windows of many of the houses bordering the lane. Children play as safely as they did 100 years ago while of an evening the elder residents enjoy the lingering warmth with glass or two as the sun sets.
The owners bought Froglets in the summer of 2017 and have restored and repaired the cottage with style and attention to detail. Froglets is furnished simply and comfortably; equipped with everything you will need for your holiday. The kitchen alcove houses a washing machine and storage is deceptively spacious with magic corner cupboard beneath the original stairs. Microwave, toaster, fridge-freezer and electric cooker with glass hob are all brand new as is the attractive wood flooring. The original and very thick walls have all been restored with lime plaster in keeping with the local style. Upstairs the sunny bedroom with en-suite has a generous, comfortable 4’6” bed. There is TV, WiFi and dogs are very welcome.
Be sure to duck your head as you climb the narrow stairs! Parking is opposite the front door on the other side of the lane to the houses.
- "Lovely, cosy cottage with beautiful views." - "spotlessly clean well decorated property and well organised for its size the only drawback is the settee is so old and uncomfortable and could really do with replacing and as it is dog friendly I would suggest two cottage style armchairs instead" - "Really sweet property in a lovely location that has everything you need. Abigail was really friendly and only down the road if you need anything! My partner and I had a lovely time, the bed was really comfy which was great as we were out all day most days and appreciated the comfort coming back!"

Lovely homemade scones on arrival and Chris popped by to make sure everything was ok for us shortly after we arrived. The dining and lounge area enjoy an unspoilt view over open fields and down the valley towards the Roseland Peninsula.
- "Just got home from a week away. Our stay at Voss Farm Hazel Cottage , We had everything and more to enjoy our holiday and stay at the Hazel Cottage with beautiful views and nice walks around the farm with our two dogs with beautiful places close by to visit. Phil & April where very accommodating to make our stay perfect. We will be going back soon hopefully with more family member’s. Thank you Phil & April" - "This property was chosen for it's disabled facilities as my wife is disabled and wheelchair bound. It met all our requirements and more. We felt it was like a tardis and far more spacious than we imagined. The views from the lounge and bedroom were amazing and the wet room was massive. It was also equipped with everything we needed. The only slight criticism was the bed being too low making it difficult for my wife to get up. The farm itself was immaculate with paths through woods for walking with the dog. And a fishing pond which kept my grandson occupied. The location made it easy for exploring the north and south coast of Cornwall. Highly recommend this property. "

Once part of an old dairy, the main house dates back to the late 1600s. The corner of the building is now self-contained and has been recently transformed into an extremely cosy holiday home. The owners use Frogmore Corner regularly and as such it feels very loved and lived in. The open fire draws well, the furniture is mostly modern but family antiques lend character as does the pretty wallpapered nook where teddies live.
There is a definite sense of luxury in the modern twin bath and shower rooms that have under-floor heating. Please note both are situated downstairs. The kitchen is kitted out with dishwasher, cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. A washing machine and tumble dryer have been squeezed cleverly into an adjacent lobby.
The new stair case which has replaced the original one that was falling down, leads to three bedrooms: one double and one single on the front of the house and new this year another cosy single at the back. The two at the front have superb views over the valley of farmland below through which runs the River Fal. The old wooden and serious wonky floorboards upstairs are now snugly carpeted and the double glazed windows and roof insulation will keep you cosy and environmentally conscience clear.
The front door opens onto the slate floor of the main and only living room. This entrance is approached up steps from the top of Mill Lane that branches off Frog Lane which leads down to the bottom of Tregony Hill where the river flows under the old bridge.
The pretty garden which is shared with Froglets is sunny and sheltered. There is a small lawn with flower borders and established shrubs. It is the perfect spot for a sunny breakfast, a peaceful sunbathe and somewhere in which to sip a glass of wine after a day at the beach. We ask please that dogs are not let into the garden to do their business and that any accidents are picked up and deposited in the dog-bin just up the road.
Private off road parking is also shared with Froglets and is immediately opposite the cottage above the garden.
- "A very quiet and comfortable stay in July in a lovely inland village that had a shop and pub set in beautiful countryside. We had easy access to great beaches and the Roseland peninsula and managed to visit Truro, Padstow and other parts of Cornwall without any difficulty. The cottage was well decorated, had comfortable beds and was spotless. Handover was straightforward and Abigail who greeted us was easily accessible and lived locally. We would definitely return on another occasion."
