Wain Cottage is a spacious two bedroom house located in a tiny hamlet overlooking the rugged coastline between Tintagel and Boscastle. The cottage enjoys lovely views of sea and rolling countryside. Accessed by a private road, it feels ‘off the beaten track’ yet Tintagel is only 2 miles away. The cottage has full central heating by propane gas (included in the price). There is a wood burning stove with a basket of logs supplied. There are beams throughout the cottage and full double glazed doors and windows. All in all, a comfortable and cosy place to spend a peaceful and relaxed holiday. The cottage garden is fully enclosed and in fine weather is ideal to sit out in and enjoy. If you like self-catering you will not be disappointed with the facilities; if you prefer to eat out there are many local restaurants, pubs and tea rooms.

Rock House is located in a small hamlet on the coast of North Cornwall a short amble from the South West Coast Path. The village of Trebarwith Strand with its famous surfing beach is within a few minutes walk and the Cornish section of the wonderful cliff path, which meanders for some 630 miles around the coast offering spectacular views and an uninterrupted walk from Minehead to Poole, is within a stone’s throw of the front door. Rock House is a beautiful old slate building with a traditional Cornish cottage feel. The house has a well equipped kitchen which is - like the rest of the house - cosy and stylish. The kitchen includes a good sized fridge freezer, two ovens, a microwave and electric hob. There is a full range of equipment and (if you're visiting in the colder months) a Rayburn stove which warms the cockles, dries socks, heats the water and bakes bread. Outside, a small lawned garden and a pretty, cloistered slate barbecue area is available.. perfect for those sunny summer evenings. The barbecue area incorporates an outside loo and utility room equipped with washing machine and dryer which can be made available for guests. The house also has cosy bathrooms, comfy beds and can be let complete with linen and towels.. We also offer complimentary toiletries, from the fabulous Arran Aromatics Feel Good range, to all our guests. Rock House is spacious and has three main bedrooms, the master bedroom with 5' double bed and adjoining ensuite shower room (with underfloor heating for those cold winter mornings), the guest room with another double and the children's room with two singles and a bunk. There is a travel cot for babies (although we do ask guests to bring their own baby linen) which will fit comfortably into any of the three bedrooms. The main bathroom - which has a bath, loo and washbasin - and the two double rooms have a wonderful view across the valley. There is a sitting room with comfy chairs and an open fire, which is also equipped with TV, DVD/BluRay, Stereo and a great collection of movies and books. A good sized dining room with the Rayburn stove in an inglenook, comfortably seats eight. Treknow, within an easy walk of Tintagel, is a small settlement of some 100 dwellings established it is said, in the early part of the 16th century to house the quarry workers who served the stone merchant vessels which landed at the nearby natural harbour. Rock House itself is reputed to be the home of quarry captain, “Captain Jack”. It is the second oldest house in the village and built of Cornish slate (no doubt from Captain Jack’s quarry) and is full of old fashioned charm. There are plenty of charming local pubs and restaurants within walking distance, including the spectacular “Port William’ perched above the beach with its entrancing views of the ocean. The North Cornwall coast is peppered with secluded coves, peaceful walks, great beaches, charming towns and fishing villages. Padstow, now renowned for its association with Rick Stein as much as for its pretty harbour, fishing fleet and winding lanes is within easy reach as is Port Isaac an historic village with a real Cornish feel and the filming location for ITV’s “Doctor Martin”. If you’re a keen walker, surfer, beach bum, foodie or real ale fan, there is no better place to find spectacular views, varied walks, charming pubs, restaurants and real relaxation and if you have a young family, there’s plenty to do within easy reach. The cottage benefits from far reaching views across the sea and out towards Port Isaac. Parts of this characterful home date back 450 years and benefits from 2 generous sized bedrooms, a family bathroom with a bath/shower, spacious sized lounge, separate dining room and fully equipped kitchen, which leads on to a terraced garden at the rear, complete with seating areas. We believe we have created a calm, tastefully furnished and decorated space for our guests to enjoy and relax in. Guests have sole use and access to all rooms apart from a 3rd bedroom which is used for storage and locked at all times. The same applies to the garden and parking space. Off road free car parking, with space for 2 x standard Saloon cars.
We are pet friendly and have a reasonable charge of £7.50 per dog, per night with simple House Rules. I provide towels incase of inclement weather, throws, metal water/food bowls, poop bags and we have a designated Dog waste bin. The garden is private and enclosed and has been tried & tested by our own K9s for escape routes, but we still request owners keep an eye on their pet when out in the garden. We implore pet owners to be responsible and clean up any dog mess from the garden and immediate area of the cottage. Unfortunately, due to a too frequent spate of owners ignoring this simple rule, we have had to introduce a Garden Cleaning fee of £50 which will be requested through Vrbo, should any dog poop be found by us, once the garden has been inspected after guests leave. THIS IS NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY. Should this rule be broken you will be reported to Vrbo, and we will have to take serious consideration for the future that all pets be banned.
It is conveniently positioned, being within walking distance of the famous South West Coastal path and Tintagel, with its myths and legends of King Arthur and now its new footbridge opened only in August 2019. Boscastle, Port Isaac - home of Doc Martin, Bodmin Moor, Padstow, Poldark country are all easily accessible, making Trelake Cottage the perfect base. Many other famous attractions, such as the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Daphne du Mauriers Jamaica Inn are just a short drive away. For the more energetic guests there are many beaches nearby for surfing, body boarding and other water sports. Newly refurbished in 2019, a stay at Trelake Cottage is not to be missed. All local businesses have their own policies & procedures in relation to Covid-19 and we politely ask our guests to respectfully observe their policies. Visitors should check for further instructions. Many provide hand sanitiser at point of entry for customers use. Please check all websites of any hostelries & attractions to book a day & time slot to visit, when planning your holiday. This includes Tintagel Castle. Many of these can be planned and booked before your stay and in the busy times I would recommend it is worth contemplating doing this, not just for days out, but also meals out, just to avoid disappointment.
In a popular area for walkers and families alike, car parking in the nearby villages is well signed and ample, although in the height of season I would recommend going to the very popular villages of Boscastle & Port Isaac earlier rather than later in the day. It is worth noting that there is a short Taxi service which runs from The Old School House in Port Isaac to the car parks which are on the outskirts of the village and will cost a couple of pounds each. You may feel it is worth the cost once you have walked back up the hill from the heart of the village. Tintagel has access to several car parks within the village and parking is not a problem. We have a bus service which is prone to change to summer and winter timetables, with buses running every 2 hours. You will find the bus stop on the main B3263 road, near the turning for Treknow village. To catch the bus towards Wadebridge, you need to wait on the opposite side of the road to the brick bus shelter on the Tintagel bound side.
Popular walks in to Tintagel, beyond to Bossiney, St Nectans Glen and further on to Boscastle, although you may choose to catch a bus one way for this particular hike! In the other direction on the Coastal path, for hardened walkers you will find the coastal path to Port Isaac. This walk will take several hours one way and you will need to take refreshments as there is no where on the way to buy any, until you reach Port Gavern. Folk do definitely tend to only walk one way, as it is quite strenuous, so you will need to plot your bus route, or pre book a taxi. There are many Public Footpaths that criss cross the area.

It was love at first sight when we first saw Bay View Cottage, with it's spectacular sea views and perfect North Cornwall location. We have spent a lot of time and effort making this a place we can really call a home from home all year round.

Bay View Cottage is perfectly situated, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, over-looking Gull Rock at Trebarwith Strand and across the bay towards the Rumps in the West.

The 3 bedroom cottage would suit two small families or one larger one or alternatively a group of friends! While it comfortably sleeps 6 there is also an additional sofa-bed in the downstairs sitting room if required. All the linen provided is Egyptian cotton.

The main house consists of:

A large sun room/conservatory with stunning views over Gull Rock and the North Cornwall Coast. It has a large dining table that seats 8 people with a comfortable sofa and armchair to relax in and watch the ever changing seascape.

A master bedroom with a king size wrought-iron bed where you can even enjoy the views while relaxing!

There are two areas of decking at the cottage, one upstairs and accessible from the conservatory, which is a perfect sunspot to enjoy a cup of tea or something stronger as the sun goes down.

The second is a much larger area with space to lounge, dine and barbecue. It boasts an outdoor table and wooden seating for 8 which is accessible both from the garden and the downstairs living room and bedroom.

There is also considerable further garden space below the decking to relax and enjoy in privacy.

Please note: bedroom 3, living room 2 and the shower room are linked to the conservatory by a spiral staircase or can be accessed from the decking at the back of the house.

Guests will have access to the whole house and the first part of the garden down to the summer house.

Guests will be able to store beach things and hang wetsuits in a covered area at the side of the house, but will unfortunately not be able to access the shed or summer house.

There are 2 parking spaces available at the property; one just in front of the house by the garden wall and one at the bottom of the shared driveway by the garden shed. Please note however the driveway is relatively steep and may not suit all vehicles. Alternative parking is available on the road opposite the house but please take care when crossing.

However, as almost all the rooms look out onto the garden, this is not a problem in terms of noise pollution. The small beach nearby is wonderful, but quite far away on foot, and at high tide the beach is completely gone. Clear recommendation: The Port William Restaurant directly on the beach: The view of the bay from the outdoor seating in the evening is simply wonderful, especially when the tide is high. Overall: We had a very good time and can definitely recommend the house. "

- "What a lovely little cottage this was. Set just outside of Tintagel (only 3/4 mile walk in) it was perfectly situated to walk to the restaurants in Tintagel in the evening and use as a base to explore the North of Cornwall. Warm, cosy and comfortable. I have deducted two stars for 'equipment' as the kitchen equipment could have been better in order to cook some evenings, there were only hand towels provided in the bathroom and there was no wifi, which in this day and age I would have expected as standard. Overall though a brilliant stay and I would definitely recommend it for a couple. There is a single bed and a cot (under the double bed) so it would also suit a young family. Kosel is a delightful 2 storey character cottage/ barn conversion sleeping 2-3 in the village of Trewarmett, near Tintagel and also close to the sandy beach of Trebarwith Strand. There is an open plan living / dining / kitchen area downstairs comfortably furnished with a seaside feeland onegood sized bedroom with ensuite shower, access to the raised gardenand a utility area all on the 1st floor. The bedroom has1 double bed and a camp bed if needed.

We welcome children over 5 years (the stairs and steps are not suitablefor children under 5 years). Bed linen for the double bed and bath towels for 2 guests are supplied. There is a charge of £40 per stay for a child over 5 years using the camp bed. Please bring your own Beach Towels.

Outside there is an enclosed garden with a gravelled courtyard and sitting areas with BBQ + private parking for 1 car and additional parking on the lay-by on the other side of the road.

Visit Boscastle, the beautiful fishing port on the north coast and just a few miles away, and stroll down to the picturesque harbour or venture into the Valency Valley where woodland walks meet rivers and streams. Port Isaac, where the popular TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed, offers excellent views and a delightful harbour, restaurants and narrow streets. Beaches are plentiful and many have coves and inlets to explore. This is an ideal base from which to visit the many gems this part of Cornwall has to offer!

- "Just a few minutes stroll away from the best pasty shop in Cornwall...Pengenna Pasty shop, although the Cornish Pasty shop nearby did a lovely buttery croissant and latte that became a morning must have. The village was especially quiet at that time of the morning and Gull Cottage was in a peaceful cul-de-sac close to the coastal path. The accomodation was spacious, clean and had all that was needed for a comfortable stay. It is a ground floor only annexe which was a pleasant surprise. The owner was on hand to answer queries and keen to help if needed, but left us to our own devices. We shall surely return to Gull Cottage."

The main room is lovely and cosy, complete with a wood-burning stove and contemporary furniture. The kitchen has everything you need, including a fridge, microwave and washing machine, with plenty of storage and workspace.

The hall, bedrooms and bathroom are full of natural light. The main bedroom is spacious with a vaulted ceiling. There is a double bed and plenty of drawers. Lots of hooks and hangers provide interesting storage options. There are two further bedrooms; a single and a double which are stylish and comfortable for a great night’s sleep. The bathroom is bright and light with everything you need including a good shower and plenty of hot water.

The view is amazing and the location was wonderful. We had an amazing time visiting Tintagel Castle. Additionally, we had a fabulous dinner with great service at Tintagel Brewery. If I had to pick one tiny thing that wasn't just perfect, it would be the water pressure in the shower. I have long hair and it was a bit challenging to get all the shampoo out! Upstairs are two bedrooms (one double bed, and two single beds) with far reaching countryside and sea views, and a toilet and shower.
The fully enclosed back garden is small but very pleasant on a sunny day. There is also a raised gravel garden next to the parking space, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and the sea. Great for BBQs or just watching the sun go down with a glass of wine.

There is a small key safe near the front door, inside which you will find the key to the cottage. Full instructions will be sent to you before your arrival.

The lane to the parking space is narrow, take it slow until you get used to it. Also, the turning area to get in and out of the parking bay is tight and not suitable for campervans.

Our cottage is a 200 year-old two-storey semi-detached house surrounded by open fields with beautiful views and direct access to the footpath to the beach at Trebarwith Strand. Over the years we've carefully restored the cottage to produce a calm, restful retreat (and a second home for us).

The space
The cottage has immediate access to the surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand; it's an easy 10-minute walk down the marked footpath that passes directly in front of the cottage.

It's warm and cosy in all Cornish weathers with effective heating (if you need it, it's free), with the main windows double-glazed. In addition there’s a welcoming open fireplace you can get going (wood and coal available locally).

The kitchen has all the equipment you need. There's a fridge with frozen food compartment and a microwave for quick meals. You'll also find a toaster, an espresso machine (for those wanting decent strong coffee) and plenty of cooking equipment, china and glasses.

There's a large pine dining table that sits 6 people.

Upstairs are 2 bedrooms one with a comfortable double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe space, bedside tables and lights. The second bedroom has two single beds again with bedside tables, lights, a chest of drawers and a hanging space. This room has a cupboard containing the hot water tank (no charge for hot water).

The bathroom has a bath with a shower over the bath+glass screen, a toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail.

There's an outside toilet with a washbasin and shaver point.

Outside the front door is a washing line (and a prop kept indoors).

Guest access
You have exclusive use of the entire property (approximately 700 ft²) with your own front door key, allowing you to come and go as you wish.

The double bed linen is provided and towels enough for 2 people. Linen for the other beds has an extra at cost charge. Please enquire on request of booking.

Guest access
Parking is shared with the guest house and subject to availability. The cottage is accessible via a narrow drive to the side of the guest house. There is also parking adjacent to the guest house and if necessary a car park is 5 minutes walk away.

Other things to note
Cottage is suitable for couples or families with young children. No groups allowed.
We allow up to 2 dogs in the cottage with extra cleaning charges. No dogs in upstairs area. No other types of animals allowed.

The Smithy, Beaver Cottages, (AA 4* rated) is within walking distance of Tintagel and the dog friendly sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand. There are pubs, restaurants and shops in Tintagel along with the historic castle with stunning new bridge. Port Isaac, Boscastle, Bude, Padstow and Bodmin Moor are only a short drive away
You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the location, and the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, 2 or 3 sharing friends, and pets.

The space
The Smithy is an annex to an old Cornish lodging house. It used to be a carpenters and wheelwrights too. It is bigger than it looks but is still cosy. It has one king size bedroom with views to the sea and sunsets plus a TV, a family bathroom with large shower, a fully equipped galley fitted kitchen, and a lounge and dining room with a quality double sofabed *, and a smart TV. There is off road parking and a fully enclosed private garden with table and chairs and a BBQ.
A shared utility room is available with washing machine (for a donation), a freezer and kitchen sink, plus body boards and beach toys.
* Please note that the sofabed is only a small double in size, so the Smithy is really only suitable for a couple or single person, 2 or 3 friends sharing, or families with very small children (we have a travel cot that will fit in the bedroom). Bigger groups and families with older children are recommended to book the Lodge at Beaver Cottages which is much more child friendly.
We also have a shepherds hut available at an additional cost which can be used as an extra bedroom for a single person / couple.

Guest access
The entire cottage and garden is for Smithy guests only. The laundry room is in a shed and shared with other guests.

Trelake Cottage in Treknow, is in an elevated position with far reaching views. Benefitting from a well lit private & secure garden with various seating areas. Off road free parking is adjacent to the property. Within walking distance of Trebarwith Strand, the S/W Coastal Path & Tintagel, conveniently located to access many of Cornwalls famous attractions. Dog friendly with basic K9 House Rules and a reasonable nightly pet fee of £7.50 per dog.

The space
Parts of the cottage date back 450 years and benefits from a quiet, spacious lounge, 2 generous sized bedrooms, a family bathroom with a bath/shower and a separate dining room, which you take one step down to. We believe we have created a calm, tastefully furnished and decorated space for our guests to enjoy and relax in. Guests have sole use and access to all rooms apart from a 3rd bedroom which is used for storage and locked at all times. The garden and parking space is also for sole use of our guests. Unfortunately, due to the age and layout of the cottage and garden, our property is not suitable for guests with mobility needs.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole cottage, apart from one bedroom which is locked as it is used for storage. They will also have use of the private garden. In a popular area for walkers and families alike, car parking in the nearby villages is well signed and ample, although in the height of season I would recommend going to the very popular villages of Boscastle & Port Isaac earlier rather than later in the day. It is worth noting that there is a short Taxi service which runs from The Old School House in Port Isaac to the car parks which are on the outskirts of the village and will cost a couple of pounds each. You may feel it is worth the cost once you have walked back up the hill from the heart of the village. Tintagel has access to several car parks within the village and parking is not a problem. We have a bus service which is prone to change to summer and winter timetables, with buses running every 2 hours. You will find the bus stop on the main B3263 road, near the turning for Treknow village. To catch the bus towards Wadebridge, you need to wait on the opposite side of the road to the brick bus shelter on the Tintagel bound side.
Popular walks in to Tintagel, beyond to Bossiney, St Nectans Glen and further on to Boscastle, although you may choose to catch a bus one way for this particular hike! In the other direction on the Coastal path, for hardened walkers you will find the coastal path to Port Isaac. This walk will take several hours one way and you will need to take refreshments as there is no where on the way to buy any, until you reach Port Gavern. Folk do definitely tend to only walk one way, as it is quite strenuous, so you will need to plot your bus route, or pre book a taxi. There are many Public Footpaths that criss cross the area.

Other things to note
Due to the pandemic, a lot of businesses and visitors attractions changed their policies and procedures, which some have continued to implement. Therefor I would strongly advise our guests check with each venue before they attend to save any disappointment when planning your holiday. This includes Tintagel Castle, where you have to book a specific day & time slot. Many can be planned and booked before your stay and in the busy times I would recommend it is worth contemplating doing this, not just for days out, but also meals out, just to avoid disappointment.

A spacious single-storey cottage with one double bedroom. Our largest one-bedroom cottage. Bathroom has a bath with shower over. Good sized private enclosed garden with seating area. Car park space close to cottage on the courtyard. Guest paddock with panoramic sea views. Laundry room close to cottage. Good mobile reception. Free wifi. Walk to St Nectan’s Glen waterfall, Rocky Valley, Bossiney Haven, Tintagel village, pubs, cafes, shops, Tintagel Castle and the coastal path.

The space
Character cottage located in a quiet hamlet of Tintagel village with its own private garden area. Guests can also use a large enclosed paddock area with sea view - ideal for dog exercising or to use the picnic benches and watch the sun set.

Guest access
There's a courtyard area at the front of the cottage shared with the other cottages. A laundry on the courtyard offers washing machine, tumble drier, tourist information and DVD/book library. The guest paddock is accessed via a path running round the rear of the cottage garden. Guest car park is very close to the cottage.

Other things to note
The undercounter fridge has a cool zone (0-4 degrees c) but no freezer compartment currently.

Charming and surprisingly spacious slate workers cottage on a quiet lane in pretty north Cornish village. This has been our holiday home for 12 years and our children have known it all their lives. The lane is quiet enough for children to play outside and there is a small very sunny garden for meals out and even a paddling pool if required. The cottage is situated moments away from the coastal path and is a 10 minute walk to the wonderful Trebarwith Strand and Port William and The Mill pubs

The space
The cottage is our home and we hope you will feel that it is your home for your stay. It has comfy beds, great showers and there are plenty of books and guidebooks and some DVDs for the younger visitors. You can sit at the front and watch the world go by or enjoy the peacefulness of the back garden where there is a built in BBQ

You will access to the whole cottage but please be aware the stairs in the cottage are steep. There are also steps on the ground floor up to the back room and garden
