Our change day within the busy summer period is Sunday for less stressful travelling. In the shoulder seasons we are more flexible as long as bookings are for five or more nights,
Treglindon is a much loved family cottage set in the hamlet of Rosecare surrounded by open countryside lying within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Only three miles from Crackington Haven. Walking the South West coastal path is viable as the local coastal bus service runs through Wainhouse Corner which is a half-mile walk from the cottage.
The cottage was extended and enjoys spacious rooms which are all presented to maximise views of the surrounding garden, open countryside and the sea view down the valley. Downstairs there is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a shower room and a large double aspect lounge with three sofas, wood burning stove and sliding patio doors. The well-equipped triple aspect kitchen also has sliding patio doors. Upstairs the master bedroom has two balcony Velux windows giving panoramic views (an ideal place to watch the sun set into the sea) and a large well equipped bathroom with bath and shower. The whole cottage has been decorated to reflect the countryside and coastal environment using prints by local artists and Vanessa Arbutnott fabrics. Furnishings have been chosen for quality and comfort including Hypnos beds, quality bedding, duvets and pillows. Electric blankets are available and appropriate summer/winter tog duvets. The kitchen in our ‘ home from home’ cottage is fully equipped with modern quality appliances including induction hob, fan assisted oven, microwave, fridge, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher and washer dryer. There is a generous supply of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils enabling easy catering for six people.
Treglindon sits at over 500 feet with stunning panorama views over the countryside down to the sea and one cannot help but be spellbound by such a natural environment. Whilst sheep fill the fields, eager-eyed and alert observers might be lucky to spy fox, deer or even stoat. The large garden is both ideal for adults, who may like to relax and soak up the tranquil scenery, and children, who may like to safely run off steam and play games. There is a large picnic table as as well as a BBQ for outdoor family meals. Garden reclining chairs and other garden paraphernalia are stored in the shed ready for guest use. A hedge screened part of the garden is ideal for sunbathing. There is ample car parking for three cars. Beach toys, surf boards, sun umbrellas and wind breaks are available in the shed to use on a replace if damaged basis.
Just a 45 minute walk downhill through fields and woods or a 10 minute drive leads you to Crackington Haven. It has a gem of a family beach with majestic cliffs, warm rock pools, pebbles and sand. There are two friendly cafés and a pub for refreshments. During the summer season there is an RNLI life guard service. There are two car parks and free toilets.
Within a short drive from Treglindon, the well-known and picturesque villages of Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac can be found as well as the Victorian seaside town of Bude which boasts three beaches, a canal and a variety of small shops and supermarkets.
Part of the fun of a holiday in North Cornwall are the many places to explore within easy reach of our attractive and comfortable cottage. Popular places guests have enjoyed include Bodmin Moor, Rock, Polzeath, Padstow, Clovelly and various National Trust properties.

- "We greatly enjoyed our stay at Woodgate. The house is really spacious and comfortable, with excellent views out every window. The kitchen is well equipped, and (unlike some places we've stayed) the washer and dryer are almost idiot-proof and just work. Very peaceful and quiet. Francis was a most friendly and helpful host, making sure that everything was in place. He had a lot of suggestions for things to do and places to see (and how to avoid crowded times). He somehow also managed to lay on perfect weather: bright sun, cloudless skies, yet cool, all of which were very much appreciated. It's a great place, and we would love to come back. Highly recommended!"

Welcome pack. Enclosed back garden with patio, sitting out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are deep steps to front and rear patios, some doors are narrow (2 ft). Please bring own beach towels. No electric vehicle charging on site.. Bay Tree is a beautiful, detached bungalow situated in a rural location near the coastal village of Crackington Haven, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Bay tree has been recently refurbished and furnished to a high standard throughout, making for a peaceful yet practical holiday accommodation for guests to enjoy.
Arriving at the property, beyond the white wooden gates there is ample space for parking two cars on the gravel driveway. The main front door is to the left side of the house and on entering guests find themselves in the enclosed porch, a great space for taking off and storing coats and shoes as well as providing access to the rear garden. This area then leads into the well-equipped kitchen with a door leading to a separate toilet and utility room housing the washing machine. The spacious open plan living/dining room is accessed via the kitchen and with plenty of seating, Smart TV and wood burner, this is a fantastic place to relax and unwind at the end of a long day out. From the living area double doors lead into the master bedroom which has a 6ft 3in long super kingsize bed with zip and link flexibility, so can be separated into two single beds on request. This room is bright and airy, as are all of the rooms at Bay Tree and benefits from an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower attachment.
From the master bedroom guests can access both the front garden with pleasant patio and seating area next to the parking area, as well as the rear garden. A second smaller bedroom is accessed off the lounge with kingsize bed, en-suite shower room and a sliding door leading out onto the rear garden. In-between this bedroom and the master bedroom there is a useful office space, whether guests are looking to catch up some work while away or just sit down and plan the adventures ahead. The office area also leads out onto the rear garden.
The best way to describe the rear garden is as tranquil, as this lovely area feels secluded with a variety of shrubs, bushes and trees surrounding the perimeter. There is a patio area closest to the property with dining table and chair seating for some al-fresco breakfasts or a late-night bottle of wine and cheese board and the rest of the garden is lawned.
The compact third bedroom is to be found in a separate annexe very close to the house with its own private entrance from the garden. A sliding patio door leads into the bedroom containing a double bed and an en-suite walk in shower room. This set-up works very well for guests that may want a bit of extra privacy from the main house, while still being just steps away. There is a door on the far end of the ‘annexe’ for guests to access a storage room containing tumble drier, deck chairs etc.
There is also a sheltered side area accessed from the front of the property for guests to store things such as bikes and surfboards and to hang out wet suits under cover. There is so much for guests to see and do nearby, Crackington Haven beach lies at the bottom of the hill being just a 5 minute drive away, with Boscastle, Tintagel and Bude all within easy driving distance. Whatever the reason for visiting the area, Bay Tree is a fantastic place to start.

- "We had a lovely week staying at Beckaveans Granary. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with all we needed for a family holiday. It's perfectly located for trips to the beach and further afield on those not so sunny days that are a feature of the British summer! Courtyard garden catches the sun in the early morning and evening, so perfect for meals al fresco. Jeremy was very welcoming and helpful, and Milo the cat was especially friendly. - "Thatchways is a great place with character and great atmosphere. There are a lot of historical books about local history on the shelf to read by the fire at night to get into the vibes of the village. We got to enjoy beautiful sunsets every night. There is a lot for the children to explore and a great garden. We are glad that we found Crackington Haven and would recommend The Coombe Inn, both cafes and the village shop (run by locals) near the Institute up the road and we would definitely recommend Thatchways and hope to come back one day. Great place to explore the coastal path both ways that is just outside the door."

- "Penhaven was perfect for 3 generations to enjoy an extended -family holiday by the seaside. There is a spacious kitchen-diner leading out onto a patio and enclosed rear garden. The house and garden were well-equipped though we did bring a large saucepan with us for pasta etc. Upstairs is a very comfortable living room with a tv, games and plenty of soft seating and beanies. There is also a large wooded table and chairs for dining al fresco. There is also a kettle barbecue. In July t is possible to enjoy the sun all evening in different parts of the garden. At the rear of the house is a good playground complete with a zip wire! Perfect for an hour with young children before bedtime. Cracking Haven beach id a little gem! Rock pools, cliffs for climbing, sand, pebbles, it has everything to keep young children happy all day. There's also a pub, two good cafes and public toilets. We would love to go back!!"
