Our change day within the busy summer period is Sunday for less stressful travelling. In the shoulder seasons we are more flexible as long as bookings are for five or more nights,
Treglindon is a much loved family cottage set in the hamlet of Rosecare surrounded by open countryside lying within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Only three miles from Crackington Haven. Walking the South West coastal path is viable as the local coastal bus service runs through Wainhouse Corner which is a half-mile walk from the cottage.
The cottage was extended and enjoys spacious rooms which are all presented to maximise views of the surrounding garden, open countryside and the sea view down the valley. Downstairs there is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a shower room and a large double aspect lounge with three sofas, wood burning stove and sliding patio doors. The well-equipped triple aspect kitchen also has sliding patio doors. Upstairs the master bedroom has two balcony Velux windows giving panoramic views (an ideal place to watch the sun set into the sea) and a large well equipped bathroom with bath and shower. The whole cottage has been decorated to reflect the countryside and coastal environment using prints by local artists and Vanessa Arbutnott fabrics. Furnishings have been chosen for quality and comfort including Hypnos beds, quality bedding, duvets and pillows. Electric blankets are available and appropriate summer/winter tog duvets. The kitchen in our ‘ home from home’ cottage is fully equipped with modern quality appliances including induction hob, fan assisted oven, microwave, fridge, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher and washer dryer. There is a generous supply of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils enabling easy catering for six people.
Treglindon sits at over 500 feet with stunning panorama views over the countryside down to the sea and one cannot help but be spellbound by such a natural environment. Whilst sheep fill the fields, eager-eyed and alert observers might be lucky to spy fox, deer or even stoat. The large garden is both ideal for adults, who may like to relax and soak up the tranquil scenery, and children, who may like to safely run off steam and play games. There is a large picnic table as as well as a BBQ for outdoor family meals. Garden reclining chairs and other garden paraphernalia are stored in the shed ready for guest use. A hedge screened part of the garden is ideal for sunbathing. There is ample car parking for three cars. Beach toys, surf boards, sun umbrellas and wind breaks are available in the shed to use on a replace if damaged basis.
Just a 45 minute walk downhill through fields and woods or a 10 minute drive leads you to Crackington Haven. It has a gem of a family beach with majestic cliffs, warm rock pools, pebbles and sand. There are two friendly cafés and a pub for refreshments. During the summer season there is an RNLI life guard service. There are two car parks and free toilets.
Within a short drive from Treglindon, the well-known and picturesque villages of Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac can be found as well as the Victorian seaside town of Bude which boasts three beaches, a canal and a variety of small shops and supermarkets.
Part of the fun of a holiday in North Cornwall are the many places to explore within easy reach of our attractive and comfortable cottage. Popular places guests have enjoyed include Bodmin Moor, Rock, Polzeath, Padstow, Clovelly and various National Trust properties.

Cancleave has been in the family since 1962. During the winter of 2020/21 it underwent a complete knockdown and rebuild to create a modern, energy efficient and comfortable property.
Cancleave is situated in beautiful North Cornwall, on the coast road between Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay. With a large lawned garden bordering the South West Coast Path, it commands extensive views across Bude Bay.
The property lies within the North Cornwall designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as well as the Boscastle to Widemouth SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). Nearby Widemouth Bay, Bude and Crackington Haven beaches are all patrolled by RNLI lifeguards on a seasonal basis, as are many of the other beaches in the area.
It makes a great base to expolore the many attractions and delights that North Cornwall has to offer. From the coast path outside the gate, the numerous picturesque coastal villages, nearby Bodmin Moor and the highly acclaimed Eden Project slightly further afield, there is something for everyone.
The attractions are too numerous to list and the best bit is exploring for yourself.
- "We booked this property much earlier this year as a venue for a 50th birthday gathering for friends and family. It was ideal. The facilities for the various combinations of people was fantastic. The house itself is stunning, the location is amazing, and everyone had a wonderful time." - "Phenomenal recently renovated property right on the coastal path with sweeping views. Very spacious 4 bed 4 bathroom accommodation that our family loved. Very large garden that was perfect for watching the sun set and the cows and sheep in the adjacent fields. We really lacked for nothing and would definitely rent Cancleave again."

- "Clean, cosy, well-equipped, welcoming!" - "Thank you so much, we loved our week in your adorable little house Amazing location and fabulous weather, we fell in love with Cornwall again." - "We spent a lovely 2 weeks in late September here. It’s a short walk to the beach, coastal walks, two cafes and a good pub (where we ate twice). Bude has supermarkets about 20 minutes away and the local scenery is stunning. Pen Cliff is comfortable and cosy with a good TV and Wi-Fi too. Parking is across the road so it was not possible to charge our hybrid car, but this was not a problem particularly, just something to note as electric vehicles become more common perhaps. Owners were helpful and communication was easy. All in all, a lovely stay and at a reasonable price for Cornwall."
