Situated on Bay View Road, a sought after road to live on, is our newly refurbished detached bungalow in an elevated position with panoramic views over Westward Ho! and Bideford Bay.
To the front of the bungalow we have a private driveway, big enough for four cars, a garden with good sized lawn and a patio with table & chairs to enjoy the sun during the day. There is a gate to secure children on the site. Our front door opens into the lobby with a wc, and leads to the open plan living area. In here you will find the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas all looking out to sea through the windows and large bi-fold doors framing the view and opening to the patio and lawn. The kitchen has the usual built in appliances, being a dishwasher, waste-disposal, fridge, microwave, electric oven & induction hob. We invite our guests to enjoy the Nespresso coffee machine supplied with a selection of coffees. The breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the dining table and chairs which is positioned to enjoy the view via a large floor to ceiling window. Beside this window are five bi-fold doors which can be fully opened to bring the outdoors into the lounge and enjoy the stunning view. They open out to a large patio area with table & chairs, and a barbecue with gas supplied. The patio is surrounded by lawns and garden. In the lounge we have a SMEG fire, a 42" tv with BT open view and fibre broadband, Sky, Blu-ray player, Playstation 3 and a bluetooth radio/music player which can play your music from your phone, iPad or computer. A selection of books, games, dvd's and playstation games are provided. A door from here leads into the three bedrooms and bathroom. All the bedrooms have built in wardrobes and tv's. The master bedroom has views out to sea and has a super-king size bed. It has an en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The double bedroom has a king size bed and the third bedroom has two single beds. These are serviced by a family bathroom which contains a bath and shower. Towels and bedding are provided.
From the kitchen a door leads to the garage. This has been converted to a utility and storage area. In here we have a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, additional fridge/freezer, iron & ironing board, and beach towels.
The bungalow has gas central heating. Underfloor heating in the living space and bathrooms, radiators in the bedrooms.
A cot can be provided on request.
Regret no smoking or dogs and not ideally suited for wheelchairs.

The only issue we encountered was that some of the bedding felt a bit damp. This was perhaps due to the proximity of the sea and the unseasonably damp weather of late. This was only a very minor issue and we didn't feel it necessary to trouble our hosts with it. Overall, we all had a fabulous time at the bungalow and hope to rebook again one day."

A beautiful 19th century former coach house in an elevated position looking over the seaside town of Westward Ho! A spacious apartment with wonderful sea views and off street private parking. Situated a few minutes walk from the large sandy beach and village. A short drive to the Royal North Devon championship Golf Club. This large comfortable apartment accommodates four people in two bedrooms with a family bathroom and ensuite shower room. Bedroom 2 has zip and link beds. The large living /dining room has magnificent views out to sea towards Lundy Island, the beach and cliffs. The living room is equipped with a TV and DVD and a small blue tooth speaker. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, double oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Linen and towels are provided and the apartment has full gas central heating. Excellent base to discover beautiful North Devon.
Unfortunately No Pets allowed. The flat is not suitable for toddlers and is not kitted out for babies. Minimum stay 4 nights. .........

Charlie was great with first point of contact & replied promptly & communication was spot on. The apartment was huge to our surprise and it’s lovely clean , very homely & comfy! We had 2 bedrooms our bedroom was big & had en-suite & we also had main bathroom with shower & kids bedroom had 2 single beds lots of space & wardrobe . The kitchen was good size had large fridge freezer & cooker was gas which is what I preferred . We had amazing sea views from our huge lounge with opening balcony & small outside court with table and x 2 chairs that was beautiful watching the waves in sea whilst having my morning cuppa! Rockpool was 5mins away & Westwood ho beech was waking distance took us no more than 10mins we were surrounded by seaside town with lots shops& restaurants. Cosy family and dog friendly coastal style home with hot tub within a short stroll to the beach. village amenities, shops, SW coastal path, tennis courts, championship golf course, a range of restaurants and eateries , surf schools and hire. Wavelyn House benefits from ocean,headland and estuary views and a large enclosed garden. A modern contemporary home with a light and airy interior offering a welcoming hallway with shower room and WC leading to a spacious kitchen diner containing an American fridge freezer, range style double oven, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. There is seating for 8 with an additional sofa, the kitchen has direct access through French doors onto a covered terrace with further seating a perfect place to sit,relax and observe the ocean, steps from the terrace lead into the garden. The garden has many places to sit and relax including a stylish egg chair, swinging chair, loungers outside dining seating for 8 and of course the hot tub area.
Back inside the property leading up to the first floor are open tread stairs with a stairgate provided for child safety, the first floor has 4 bedrooms, 3 en-suite shower rooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom has a super king bed, en-suite shower room, with every, wardrobe/drawer storage and a small sofa looking out to the ocean, the room has direct access to a large glass enclosed balcony with sofa seating, bistro set and loungers. Bedroom 2 has a king size bed with an en suite shower room with WC and direct access to the balcony, bedroom 3 has a double bed and en suite shower room with WC, bedroom 4 has twin single beds. In addition to the en suite shower rooms there is a stylish family bathroom with WC, bath, granite counter top and glass sink .The lounge has luxurious seating for 8, full length glazing with far reaching views, TV , PS3, games, dvds,record player,sound bar, reading area with rocking chair and wood burner, again you can access the covered terrace and garden from the lounge.
The laundry/boot room contains a washing machine and separate tumble dryer and is situated off the kitchen making this the perfect place to leave muddy boots and dogs.
The ground floor also has fully stocked playroom/snug with darts board, TV, Wii and selection of children's toys and games.
As previously mentioned there are an additional 3 seperate outside spaces comprising of a first floor large ocean/estuary view balcony with sofa seating, small table and chairs set, and a pair of loungers. Also a ground floor covered ocean view terrace with cosy egg chair and a large secure garden with table and chairs for 8 and gas BBQ, there is further seating at the bottom of the garden in a sunny gravelled area with a chimera for late evening warmth, loungers and swinging chair under a tree for shade. Blankets for use outdoors are provided for your comfort. There is ample storage space in the garden for surf boards, bikes etc, a rotary washing line is situated in the garden, perfect for drying off your wetsuits and swimwear! The property makes an ideal family holiday retreat to relax and enjoy unrivalled ocean, estuary and headland views. Wavelyn House is a very short walk to over 2 miles of sandy beach. Two well behaved dogs are welcomed, the garden is fully enclosed with a 6ft high fence and full beach access for dogs is from 1st October -30th April, outside of these dates dogs can access the beach 1km along the burrows country park. All year round access to the tors and SW coast path walks are a close walk nearby as is the country park where you can hike over to the delightful village of Appledore. Driveway parking for 5 average sized vehicles. Upon arrival a Devon cream tea and chilled bottle of wine will be awaiting you to get your holiday off to a great start.
During Christmas bookings the house will be festively decorated and a welcome hamper is provided.
The houses heating system is controlled via a learning nest system which reacts to ambient temperature and for your additional security the front of the property and driveway are monitored by a ring camera and sensor.
We welcome two dogs per booking (please enquire for additional dogs) BUT, we politely ask that for the future comfort of all our guests that dogs remain with all four paws on the floor and stay on the ground floor of the property. PLEASE do not allow your dog to jump up onto the furniture or go upstairs into the bedrooms. NO dog to be left unattended within the property and all waste picked up and disposed in the waste bin provided in the garden.
Stays over two weeks will be provided with a change of linen and towels for guests to change if required. Stays of two weeks will be provided with laundry tablets to wash linen/ towels if required.

The views from the balcony were fantastic , very easy walk to the town. There is a big hill down to the beach so if you are surfing or carrying a lot of beach stuff you might want to drive down. We bought a car park pass for the beach carpark for the week and it was 15 pounds. Overall we really liked this property and if we are ever back in Westward Ho! we would certainly look to rent it again."

The Space:
Inside, there is ample room for 10 guests to spread out and enjoy, as well as a glorious sunny garden for catching those summer rays. Downstairs, you will find a spacious living room which has been kitted out with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV with apps and a handful of homely touches such as board games and books. There are pretty views of the garden stream in through the French windows and on a warm day it's brilliant to have it all open. Next door, the kitchen has all the mod cons you need to cook up feasts. Find a large range-style gas cooker, an integrated dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, Tassimo coffee machine, washing machine and dryer. As well as a farmhouse dining table that's great for sociable breakfasts and dinners. Additionally, there is a larger dining table next door.
Thoughtful homely touches continue upstairs where there are five bedrooms. The Master room features a king-sized bed plus a private en-suite bathroom. Then there is a further double room, a triple bunk room (with a double bottom and single on top) as well as a separate single room and a room with twin beds. These share a stylish family bathroom with both a shower and a bath, and there is also a separate toilet on the top floor and ground floor. The split-level garden is the perfect spot for a barbecue or sunset drinks - there's a wooden bench on the top level decking plus ample grassed space for reading, relaxing or games! Ample private parking for 3 vehicles.

The Neighborhood:
Westward Ho! is a pretty village on Devon's Torridge-Taw Estuary, boasting beautiful beaches and idyllic countryside. Restaurants and fish & chip shops line the waterfront of the beach while down the coast you can uncover quieter sand dunes, salt marshes and meet the wild ponies.
The beach is just a ten minute walk so you won't need to worry about parking! It offers a flat and wide expanse of sand when the tide is out, which makes a great place for a game of football or rounders. Lifeguarded all year round, the beach is also ideal for families and small children. You'll also often see surfers braving the waves - beginners can give it a go by booking a lesson at North Devon Surf School. Another excellent surfing spot, Saunton Sands, is just 20 miles away and well worth a visit!
Once the tide draws in, you can spend time on the promenade playing in the amusements or gazing over the fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean while savouring an ice cream or two! A walk along the coast to the beach will bring you to Northam Burrows, a Site of Special Scientific Interest with a salt marsh, sand dunes and grasslands. Here you will also find a handful of friendly ponies and grazing sheep to go say hello to!
The infamous South West Coast Path runs through the town, and there's an easy route that follows an old railway track and around the foot of the cliffs. You can continue south along the coast and follow a challenging 12-mile walk to Clovelly, a must-visit for anyone in North Devon. Known for its steep cobbled street, Clovelly is a true treasure trove of quirky shops, museums and cafes. For cyclists, the popular Tarka Trail runs through nearby Bideford and is a fantastic way to explore the gorgeous countryside.
Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of Devon, we would advise bringing a car with you. That said however, Westward Ho! beach is conveniently located just a 10 minute walk away, so you won't need to worry about parking! The closest train station to the property is Barnstaple, which is a 20 minute drive. Regular trains run from here to Exeter St Davids, where you can change and pick up the fast train direct to London.
Other Things to Note:
There is space for 3 cars to fit comfortably on the private driveway outside the property.
Dogs are welcome with a fee of £20/dog (max 2). It is on the condition they are not allowed on the soft furnishings or in the bedrooms.
Guests should be aware that the gardener is scheduled to come every 2 weeks which may coincide with your stay. They will not need to access the interior and can access the garden via the side gate.

An amazing 2 Bedroom flat, ideal for families or a couples getaway. A comfortable seaside themed decor will greet you on arrival, all areas are furnished to a high standard with amazing sea views from 3 of the 4 main rooms! Walking distance to the beach which is great for surfing or just for a walk or a chill out! The flat has full Wi-fi & Sky TV with full sports package. Local pubs, Cafe’s, restaurants all within walking distance as well. The perfect getaway in North Devon.
The apartment has a Master Bedroom and a second bedroom with two single beds comfortable sleeping 4 in total. There is a blow up mattress bed which can be located in the Lounge to sleep an additional two people making it 6 in total.
VERY IMPORTANT (For the Safety of other residents in the block)
Please make sure the white front door to the communal area is locked when you leave AND after you've entered the building. When entering you can lock the door from the inside using the internal thumb turn lock. When leaving you need to lift the handle up as far as it will go and use the key to lock the door.
RUBBISH
Correct disposal of the rubbish is EXTREMELY important out of respect to fellow owners/residents living in the block. Recycling can be put in the box located inside the utility room(directly in front of you as come out of the door to the apartment, down a few steps), all other general waste can be put in number 5 outside ONLY. It is marked clearly with a number 5. Please refrain from using other residents bins or leaving rubbish out on the landing as it causes a bad smell for other residents.
PARKING
There is one parking spot located on the premised, again, clearly marked with a number 5. Any additional cars over one must be parking on the street. Please do not park in any other parking spaces apart from the one marked 5 as you may risk a fine or removal.

Lundy Seaview was built in the 18th Century as stables to the manor house. We are located in between the popular surfing resort of Westward Ho! and Northam Burrows Country Park.
Near by is the Royal North Devon Golf Club. These attractive properties have been designed to take advantage of the stunning countryside and coastal vistas. Care has been taken in both the external and internal design of the property to ensure it feels unique by using different designs and external finishes and the use of high quality fixtures and fittings in the internal design together with contemporary soft furnishings will give a luxurious feel in a modern contemporary style.
Lundy Seaview was renovated in July 2019. The property is on a desirable road of westward Ho! The spacious open plan living area is situated on the ground floor to take advantage of the wonderful sea views which is the most ideal place to enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the sea. The well designed kitchen area has been fitted using high quality contemporary designed units and is complemented by a comfortable dining suite ideal for both informal and formal meals to plan the day ahead or talk about the experiences of the day. Kitchen area has integrated electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing/dryer machine.A good size master bedroom has an ensuite shower room and an amazing sea view. A twin bedded room is served with a smart Tv and fabulous sea views of the Atlantic. Adjoined is the single sized bunk beds with views of the rear garden, followed by a super family bathroom.
This prime coastal location is within easy walking distance of the beach and all village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Just perfect for an activity holiday, the 2 mile stretch of golden sand offers an opportunity to enjoy surfing, wind surfing, kayaking and kite surfing and the blue flag beach is ideal for families. Westward Ho! Beach is lovely, and there’s plenty for a family to do. We cooked in most nights, of the restaurants we visited we found Pig on the Hill the best (around 1km walk). Views from the property a simply great, and hot tub an added bonus! Such a well designed property and fantastic host. We’ll be sure to stay here again if we come back to Westward Ho!"

- "The apartment was lovely. Clean and roomy. The location was brilliant apart from roadworks along the road during our stay (which was unfortunate but couldn’t be helped) everything was in walking distance. The walk from the beach was uphill so you need to be aware if you struggle walking. There were plenty of food options nearby and we mixed eating in with eating out, there was a large patio outside the apartment so this was easy. Would recommend as a good place to stay. "

- "As a family of 4, we stayed for 4 days / 3 nights as a last-minute break to Westward Ho! Numbered parking space. Lovely garden area. Outdoor seating area but too chilly in October! Access via key lock through to shared hall. On entering, we were greeted by the large ground floor, apartment. Recently decorated and spotlessly clean. Area in the hall to hang coats and leave shoes. Kitchen contains dining table and four chairs. Oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, washing machine, dish washer. Plenty of plates, glasses, cutlery, pans, and utensils. Folders contain suggestions of where to visit/eat/walk etc. Also operating instructions which I overlooked and were really helpful! Lounge Massive room contains lots of seating including 2 double sofas, side tables, large windows with curtains. TV / DVD player DVDs, books, board games Family bathroom looks brand new – toilet, sink and bath with shower attachment. Heated towel rack, even under floor heating. Main bedroom large room with plenty of storage, large mirror, tv, 3 large windows with blinds. Amazing watching the waves on the sea in the distance. En Suite looks brand new. The bedrooms consist of a king-size and a single day bed, along with a bathroom. It has a hairdryer as well. Enclosed rear courtyard garden with patio, furniture, and roadside parking. Two well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 0.2 miles, beach 1.5 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove in the winter only, bed linen and towels all included in the rent. Applestow makes a delightful base for a getaway to Devon. The Tarka Trail runs through Bideford and is especially popular with cyclists, with cycle hire, including child buggies and even dog buggies available here and at many places along the way. Northam Burrows is part of North Devon’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is enjoyed by walkers, and the Royal North Devon Golf Club is also here. For the more energetic the coastal path to Peppercombe and Clovelly offers stunning views along the coastline. From Bideford there are boat trips to Lundy Island, and nearby Appledore has fascinating narrow streets, interesting shops, fish and chips shops and a restaurant, as well as fishing trips. Northam is a small market town lying just north of the historic port town of Bideford and less than 2 miles south of Westward Ho! which offers an array of seaside amenities including free public tennis courts, some fascinating curiosity shops and a range of restaurants and cafes, many of which are regularly visited by locals for their quality fayre. The beaches are a main attraction of this area for many, and the Southwest Coastal Path also runs through Westward Ho! This is a must for keen walkers, runners, and view seekers! Paddling, surfing, canoeing, entertainment for all the family and fishing are all close by too. Westward Ho! offers an array of seaside amenities, quaint streets, colourful architecture and fascinating curiosity shops. Westward Ho! Beach is known as Golden Bay. The South West Coastal Path also runs through Westward Ho! – a must for keen cyclists and walkers - plus swimming, surfing, canoeing and fishing are all close by. The Tarka Trail is also in close proximity, providing the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line amidst some of Devon’s finest countryside and scenery.
For visitors seeking a piece of Devon life then the towns of Barnstaple and Bideford provide the opportunity to wander during their weekly pannier markets with a host of local produce and crafts on offer. Nearby we have Fun on the Farm and Milky Way, great fun for younger families. North Devon wakeboard park is a half an hour drive. The cottage is located in a great spot to visit other local beaches such as Staunton sands, Croyde and Putsbourgh.
On our door step is the Royal North Devon Golf Club. Westward Ho! can rightly claim to be the cradle of English Golf. Founded in 1864, it is the oldest golf course in the country and is regarded as the St Andrews of the South. The golf course is as tough as any of the UK’s more famous links layouts and has recently been placed in Golf World 's "Top 100 Courses in the World" that a golfer “must play”.

"Westward Ho!" is a seaside holiday 🏖️resort. 🌊Blue flag long sandy beach, coastal walks and picturesque. Home is walking distance to beach, restaurants, cafes, and pubs, as well as shops and other amenities. Enjoy a range of activities, including swimming, surfing, golf, and horse riding, as well as exploring the nearby countryside and the town of Bideford and other nearby beaches, Saunton sands, Croyde etc, a great base to explore North Devon. The space
The cottage is fully equipped with all essentials.The kitchen has integrated appliances including dishwasher and washer dryer. The lounge has a wood-burner (logs not included) & plenty of seating for everyone.
Lundy Seaview is great for families, couples, or a friendly get together. The kitchen diner has fabulous views over Lundy island and fantastic views of the sun sets to enjoy. The lounge is furnished with marine blue and costal colours. Log burner to enjoy on the colder nights. Logs not included. Views of the sea and great sunsets to enjoy any time of the day. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms, the master has a large kingsize bed, with a lounging area, smart tv and en-suite. The views from the master room are delightful, just wow! sea views. The bunk beds are solid with adult single size mattresses and views of the rear garden. The double room with 2 single beds has a smart tv and fabulous sea views. There is a main bathroom also on the first floor with views of garden. The garden Patio just out of the kitchen/lounge area. Leading to the hot tub via steps to the first floor with seating. The hot tub is a fantastic state of the art modern 80 plus jets with LED lighting. Lawn area leading to top patio area. The garden is very spacious. There are fabulous sea views from all of the front rooms of the cottage and the top patio to enjoy and make some wonderful memories. Lundy SeaView is next door to Lundy Lookout. So if you are a large family or a larger group and there is availability to suit, one may book both properties - maximum of 12 guests between the two. The beach is a 10 minute walk from the cottage. And a 3 minute drive to the beach. Families with young children please note when booking with children the garden does have steps. Maximum occupancy is 6 persons this includes infants.
Westward Ho! offers an array of seaside amenities, quaint streets, colourful architecture and fascinating curiosity shops. The beach in front of the development is known as the Golden Bay, whilst the South West Coastal Path also runs through Westward Ho! – a must for keen cyclists and walkers - plus swimming, surfing, canoeing and fishing are all close by. The Tarka Trail is also in close proximity, providing the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line amidst some of Devon’s finest countryside and scenery.
For visitors seeking a piece of Devon life then the towns of Barnstaple and Bideford provide the opportunity to wander during their weekly pannier markets with a host of local produce and crafts on offer. Nearby we have the Big Sheep and Milky Way, great fun for younger families. North Devon wakeboard park is a half an hour drive. The cottage is located in a great spot to visit other local beaches such as Staunton sands, Croyde, Putsbourgh and Woolecombe.
On our door step is The Royal North Devon Golf Club rightly claim to be the cradle of English Golf. Founded in 1864, it is the oldest golf course in the country and is regarded as the St Andrews of the South. The golf course is as tough as any of the UK’s more famous links layouts and has recently been placed in Golf World 's "Top 100 Courses in the World" that a golfer “must play”.

Lundy Seaview is the perfect place to stop if you are looking at travelling to other local beaches such as Saunton Sands, Crodye or a day out to Woolacombe and so close to other An idyllic coastal retreat, perfectly situated in an elevated position taking advantage of far reaching views over Westward Ho! Beach, Bideford Bay, the Bristol Channel and towards Lundy Island. A short walk to the picturesque seaside village of Westward Ho!, known for its beautiful beach and unique pebble ridge which links to Northam Burrows Country Park. The beach offers lots of free entertainment for children whether it is looking in the rock pools, playing in the surf, building sand castles or flying kites. The village also has an array of restaurants, bars, shops, cafes, amusements and also a championship golf course. There is much to see and do in the area with attractions which include The Big Sheep, (5 minute drive) The Milky Way, (15/20 minute drive) The Wake Board Park (15/20 minute drive and Watermouth Castle.
