- "Myself and a work colleague stayed in the hotel for three nights. We had a very special request for charging our work vehicle and they were more than accommodating with this. From the start the staff were friendly and very approachable, for the first two mornings we were unable to attend breakfast as we had to be on the road by 7:30 am, so they made us up sausage sandwiches up the night before so we could have them in the morning. I have given the hotel a 4 for cleanliness and condition and I totally understand that this is down to the age of the building as I appreciate it is very hard to maintain and keep clean. The whole stay was brilliant and we cannot thank the staff for their cooperation and helpfulness. I would recommend this hotel to any one who was staying in the area."

- "We had a magical week at the house. The views are stunning and it was lovely to be able to wander in to Boscastle and having a great pub on the doorstep (really amazing food!) was a bonus. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable and Juliette is a welcoming and helpful host. We enjoyed the harbour, coastal walks, horse riding on Bodmin Moor, a visit to Bodmin jail and a local water park. We are a family with an 11 and 15 year old and there is lots to do in the area. All of the above and body boarding at Trebarwith, beautiful Bossiney Cove and Crackington Haven. It's a beautiful spot in a beautiful part of the world, wouldn't hesitate to recommend."

Anderton Mill is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sleeping four in two bedrooms, it provides superb family accommodation, but is also ideal for couples wishing to get away from it all. Renovated by the owners over a period of twenty years, it is very much a home, rather than simply a holiday cottage. This ancient watermill has been converted with flair and finesse and includes slate floors, a log burner, deep oak window seats and contemporary furnishings. The three patios are real sun traps; 'the riverside terrace', is complete with sun loungers, whilst the upper patio has a built-in barbecue and teak furniture. There is plenty to do within the 7 acre grounds, including trout fishing, pond dipping and scaling the tree house, as well as excellent local walks in the valley. The house is only a short drive (or indeed a walk for the fit!) to the North Cornish coast and its varied beaches. Space, peace and tranquility are the hallmarks of this unique rural retreat.

Gull Cottage is an idyllic place to stay - a traditional and beautiful Grade II listed Cornish cottage occupying one of the most iconic locations in the area. It sits near the end of a small row of old Boscastle Harbour Cottages directly overlooking Boscastle's beautiful and historic harbour.

Situated on the south-facing side of the harbour the cottage is easily recognised by its distinctive boat-seat attached to the front of the house. The cottage's terrace is carved into the side of the harbour and is the perfect place to sit and relax, eat a meal or simply watch the sun go down.

Built around the end of the 1700s, Gull Cottage is in a very special area. It sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Special Area of Conservation and is in a designated conservation area. Nature and beauty is all around. The village is a short walk where there are cosy pubs, restaurants and coffee shops.

Downstairs is a comfortable lounge and a dining room with a good sized table - both rooms have a log-burning stove. There is also a kitchen and large, modern shower room.

Upstairs has a bathroom and four bedrooms: two doubles, a twin and one with bunk beds.

There are two parking spaces, one immediately outside the property and one to the rear in a car port - while this fits a family car, manoeuvring is a little tight!

The cottage is on the South West Coastal Path. From outside the cottage you can walk along the coast south to Tintagel, north to Pentagon Waterfall or walk the wooded path that follows the River Valency up and out of the valley.
