We arrived before check-in on the Saturday, but I had rung beforehand and was assured I was welcome to use the pool before checking in, and that towels would be provided. I was at the hotel for an evening function, where the food was delicious and the service excellent. The buffet breakfast was also very good. The hotel setting is perfect, with lovely walks along the coast. There are a lot of steps, both up to the front door and inside the hotel (there is a lift but sometimes you do need to use stairs eg to the pool) so it may not suit anyone who has difficulty walking.
