The bed was huge and the bathroom had plenty of towels and handwash/shower gel etc. Although there weren’t many gluten free options on the restaurant menu, the staff were helpful and made me a GF steak and chips which was perfectly cooked. Tikkidew Cottage is designed for couples to escape to a comfortable hideaway. As the photos show, Tikkidew is a beautiful old stone cottage, converted from a seed barn. It is a spacious & romantic retreat for those seeking peace & privacy. With a fully equipped modern kitchen and a spacious lounge with leather suite, Tikkidew is a real 'home from home'. The cottage is centrally heated and has double glazing throughout, plus a log burner fire in the lounge for those cosy evenings. The bedroom is situated in a galleried, upstairs area with a superking size bed (or 2 single beds) which overlooks the lounge. There is free internet throughout the property.

Located on the edge of the beautiful Tamar Valley National Landscape, Rowse Farm is a 17th century ‘Grade II’ listed farmhouse set in 40 peaceful acres of pasture, woodland & streams, with 3 holiday cottages. - "Cottage was exactly as described. Photos spot on. Kitchen is larger than we thought, and was really quite nice for daily breakfast as well as evening meals on the few days that we stayed "home". Extremely clean, perfectly maintained. Living and sleeping areas perfect. TV, audio system, all perfect. Lounging in the living area was perfect after each of our daily daytrips. Private estate is itself rich with history, it's 400 years old. Modern amenities in historic buildings... do take the time to pause on this while there, it's to Andrew's credit how the accommodations are while still respecting their history. There's a "respect nature" touch to everything they've done. Recyling, proper waste disposal - present and well thought through without being overbearing. Andrew is super. Communication before, during and after our stay beyond courteous. Couldn't help but like Andrew - just a good guy. We can't think him enough! Everything is well prepared, local info, tips and such all available in a book in the property, and Andrew keeps pulse on how guests themselves find the tips he provides and adjusts if needed. There's a Waitrose, Tesco, Lidl and Morrisons all within a short drive from the property - your self-catering needs are all easily met. We went pretty much anywhere and everywhere from this cottage on a daily basis. Jazz/Blues festival in Plymouth to walks all the way at Lands End (a bit of a drive but don't let that scare you off). Looe, Falmouth, Salcombe, all easy drives from the cottage per day. For us, a Cornwall/west Devon perfect central spot to stay and start/end from each day. (Sea)food throughout Cornwall was amazing... (we're first-timers to the area). Our approach was to check the weather, take the tips from Andrew, and use online maps/tips/reviews/guides to plan out day trips. Internet in the cottage was fine for this but wifi speeds too slow to stream video. Our needs were met. If you want/needs faster speeds, we found T-Mobile had 4G speeds/connections at the property, Vodafone and a couple of others were slower and probably won't support streaming needs but normal email and website access over the wifi on the property is fine (you *are* in a 400 year old cottage - not in a city centre). Would we stay here again? Absolutely. Now just hoping that this property won't be fully booked due to popularity the next time we want to come here!!!"

Skyber Cottage is a sunny, well equipped, spacious cottage for 4 people (+ cots & highchair on request) with 2 superking size or twin bedrooms & 2 modern shower rooms (one ensuite). There is a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven & hob, a microwave plus everything needed for a self catering holiday. Located on the edge of the beautiful Tamar Valley National Landscape, Rowse Farm is a 17th century Grade II listed farmhouse set in 40 peaceful acres of pasture, woodland & streams, with 3 holiday cottages. The Weary Friar pub is a short walk away and serves lovely pub food. There are many other local places to eat just a short drive away.

We have designed the retreat as environmentally friendly as possible. From upcycling old materials to installing solar panels, thermal collectors and rainwater harvesting. We recycle and compost and use a completely renewable electricity provider. As our guests, we welcome you to enjoy this lifestyle.

The garden is flourishing with natures beauty; you will hear bird song through the trees, see bees collecting pollen, smell the incredible scented flowers, forage to find herbs, check out the veg patch and why not take advantage of garden spa treatments. We also hope you catch a glimpse of the animal wildlife that lives alongside us, from hedgehogs to frogs and voles.

Your pod has no animal products used inside or out so you can relax in the knowledge that everything onsite from cleaning products to the food you eat and skincare range in the spa is cruelty-free and vegan.

Everyone is welcome. We would ask politely that you bring only plant-based foods which you are able to cook outside in the garden on the stove provided.

Everything here has been thoroughly thought out. From your individual face towels in the bathroom and the rainwater flush, to the heated blankets ad bespoke handmade recycled furniture in each pods, I can't praise my experience enough and I was so sad to leave this beautiful place. I really enjoyed my cups of teas while wandering and investigating all the individual corners and quirks of the gardens, each area with so much detail and thoughtful planning. Thank you Dan, Victoria, and your mum. (I spent the first night alone before my partner joined me, and i'm convinced Dans mum was keeping a special eye on me. She even brought me some apples she had picked that morning, and offered me produce from the garden). - "The property was a little obscure to find but the owners called and told us exactly how to find it. At the end of the hidden driveway, very dark and mysterious was a glorious cottage, with grounds waiting to be explored. Spectacular view from the bedroom window and from the veranda with ample seating and tables, looking down into the garden where a large pond lies teeming with fish, benches all around the pond, some slightly hidden in the bushes, so many places to perch in the sunlight and have a read or a cup of tea. Not looking brand spanking new, just a little worn but so homely, a real dream landscape. The cottage has everything you need, for us it was a place to lay our heads down, waking up to sunlight through the window, a quick breakfast then off to explore the coast line. The local pub, excellent for food, drink and entertainment. The only downside was that the log burner was out of action 😢"

- "It was a lovely location, quiet but close to a lot of great locations, such as the aquarium, lots of beaches, strawberry picking and national trust properties." - "Absolutely ideal for small families with young children." - "We had great communication and an easy arrival process. Access to the leisure facilities was great to be able to use the gym as a family with the option of swimming and racket sports too - and we’d love to return when the rest of the facilities aren’t Covid restricted. - "Just returned from spending a week at the Manor house. We had a large family group ranging from 2 to 86 and everybody loved it. The house is spacious with enough large areas for groups and lots of quiet rooms if you want to escape. The house is accessible in all areas as it has a lift for those a bit shaky on their feet and was a key attraction for us. The property is in a private rural setting where all you can hear are the birds. The grandchildren enjoyed watching the cows nearby and Albert the duck and his family on the pond. The variety of outside spaces enabled all ages to relax, play and hone their croquet skills - or learn new ones. The youngest ones were able to practise their new found cycling abilities on the tarmac and the grass. The house is well equipped for cooking, eating and playing together. We were lucky to have glorious weather so didn't get to use all of the indoor amenities fully. We were really pleased to have the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful home, enjoying time with our extended family."

3 bedroom 'Valley View' cottage is set within the well-manicured private grounds at Crylla Valley Cottages which includes 18 acres of lawns, flower gardens and woodlands.

This two storey, natural stone fronted holiday cottage is extremely spacious and comes with co-ordinated carpets, furnishings and fabrics, creating a real ‘home from home’ feel.

A Flat screen Television with Freeview and DVD player is provided along with a washer dryer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, iron and a full complement of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. A main bathroom is situated adjacent to the bedrooms on the first floor, with a second WC available in the ground floor cloak room.

The main bedroom has a King-size bed, a travel cot (for a child up to 2 years of age) can be provided in this room and a high chair can also be requested (£5 hire charge for your stay for each item). The remaining two bedrooms are both twin rooms with two 3ft single beds per room.

There is not a great deal to do in the immediate location, except the local pub which is nice, but being based close to Plymouth is cool and we used it as a central location to do day trips around Cornwall & Devon.
