- "The cottage was really clean, spacious and decorated to a good standard. Bed was really comfortable and the robes and slippers were a nice touch. Owners were lovely people! " - "Wouldn’t recommend at all. Firstly, the accommodation is based on a camp site which is not made clear on the website. The specific area is ok but all a bit run down. The garden in the pictures is shared between all cottages and despite stating pet friendly has a sign saying “don’t let dogs on grass” So yes dogs can stay in cottages but not sure where else they can go? We arrived and our first cottage absolute stunk of damp. We had to be moved and the second cottage was ok. Definitely not 4* and not a king size bed! The shower makes a screeching noise when on loud and there is no air circulation in the cottages. This was the end of our honeymoon and we ended up leaving a night early because we were so disappointed and the owner doesn’t seem to have a clue! Boiler made noise all night and the bed was so uncomfy. Pillows felt like they had been filled with cotton balls you would get from a pharmacy rather than proper pillows! I strongly recommend hotels.com review their rating of these properties as it is nowhere the standard advertised. "

No kids although could obviously hear the kids and dogs from neighbouring campsites over the hedge but the owners cant buy all the fields in Bude! Everthing you could need is provided (apart from a hair dryer). The cabin was super clean, and had everything we needed, including a litre of milk, toilet paper and clean towels. The kitchen is really well stocked too with utensils and equipment. The location is brilliant, secluded so its quiet, but only a 15 minute walk into Bude along the road, or slightly longer along the scenic canal. We brought our bikes with us this time which was a great decision, as there are really safe bike routes that lead into Bude and the surrounding areas. *the only thing that could be improved would be the addition of a full length mirror/another mirror in the cabin apart from the bathroom one :)"

It's the perfect location for exploring unspoilt north Cornwall & Devon, with beaches and the south-west coast path within easy reach; you need a car to get around. Soak in the peace and quiet of the Barn with its home comforts, and enjoy the luxurious king size bed. During the colder months the heating is kept on all day.

Although we’re no longer a working farm you can often see a local farmer’s attractive Stabiliser cattle grazing in our organic field, and we keep 4 chickens. Depending on the time of year you might see geese or ducks rearing their young on our wildlife pond, long-eared bats catching insects at dusk, or our resident hedgehog late at night. We provide a bird guide to help you identify birds on the birdfeeders, including the Great Spotted Woodpecker, goldfinch, tits and chaffinches. Our black and white rescue cat, Bubble, keeps a watchful eye over the whole farm.
We welcome one well-behaved, adult, dog. There's a lovely private sunny seating area in front of the Barn; we ask dog owners to keep their dog on a lead because the area isn't fully enclosed. The area is very dog friendly, and you may find shopkeepers offering your pet a treat with every visit! Most pubs and restaurants welcome dogs and nearby Sandymouth beach allows dogs all year round.
We have one other holiday apartment for couples in our courtyard, which is entirely separate from the Barn. The rest of our courtyard is used for storage.
We love welcoming guests from all areas of the UK and the world, with the aim that that they return home with everlasting memories of their stay here.

Driving was a bit of a challenge, but manageable due to the considerate way of driving in Cornwall. There are so many beautiful places in the vicinity, and Riki's map is a good help to find everything.
