- "The cottage was really clean, spacious and decorated to a good standard. Bed was really comfortable and the robes and slippers were a nice touch. Owners were lovely people! " - "Wouldn’t recommend at all. Firstly, the accommodation is based on a camp site which is not made clear on the website. The specific area is ok but all a bit run down. The garden in the pictures is shared between all cottages and despite stating pet friendly has a sign saying “don’t let dogs on grass” So yes dogs can stay in cottages but not sure where else they can go? We arrived and our first cottage absolute stunk of damp. We had to be moved and the second cottage was ok. Definitely not 4* and not a king size bed! The shower makes a screeching noise when on loud and there is no air circulation in the cottages. This was the end of our honeymoon and we ended up leaving a night early because we were so disappointed and the owner doesn’t seem to have a clue! Boiler made noise all night and the bed was so uncomfy. Pillows felt like they had been filled with cotton balls you would get from a pharmacy rather than proper pillows! I strongly recommend hotels.com review their rating of these properties as it is nowhere the standard advertised. "

The hosts were accommodating with me arriving at this time. Everything for my stay was very comfortable, the room was warm, bed was comfy, breakfast was brilliant and the hosts very friendly.
