- "We had a wonderful stay in Chagford. House is absolutely beautiful and the local area is lovely. Would definitely recommend" - "We booked our stay relatively last minute, but at Belaire we found a dream place to stay in Devon. My wife and I were looking for location to have a UK mini-honeymoon, and wanted to also take our two children away for a a few nights so we could all relax after the stresses of the past few months. The house is huge and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable living room and kitchen downstairs and four good sized bedrooms and bathrooms on the first floor. It was spotlessly clean and felt perfectly safe and secure. The house was a little cold on arrival, but this is probably due to the ventilation required during cleaning at the present time - it warmed up very quickly once the heating was on. It is located in a quaint little village, with plenty of lovely places to eat (we would recommend trying the plant burgers at The Globe Inn) and all within a short stroll of the house. It is also only about an hours drive from some of South Devon's best beaches, not to mention right in the middle of the Dartmoor National Park. It is just a shame we only had a few days, we would definitely come back to stay here again!"

A cosy period cottage in the centre of the ancient stannary town of Chagford, Dartmoor - perfect for those country breaks. Relax at a home away from home, or use as a base for exploring the wild wonders of the local area.
- "Tidy little cottage convenient for the busy centre of the village, though just far enough out to be quiet" - "The cottage is located very near to the center of the village, which has everything you need for a long stay. The kitchen is well appointed but we did have problems with the overly sensitive smoke detector. Communication with Lisa was excellent. She responded immediately to any questions we had. The place is best suited for people who plan to spend most of their time outdoors walking and exploring, since it doesn’t have an outdoor patio or yard. Chagford is a very special place with lots to do even if you don’t have a car. We loved our time there."

- "The cottage is really cozy and pretty, located at an old cemetery in the centre of the old village of Chagford. A pub on each side, we've decitied to have a meal in the three crowns, which was lovely. Many interesting sites to visit, my favourite being Scorhill about a 10 min drive away. The house itself is very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and it is amazing to see how much convenience one can squeeze into a small space. Parking is tricky, but possible. Try to find a free space around the corner in New Street, from where lovely walks ascent uphill to the left. And don't bother buying loads of logs, since the fire place is gas--fueled. 😆 We had a very lovely time and enjoyed the live music in front of our door as well as the friendly locals a lot. Windows that would open in the bedroom might be an improvement, though! Many thanks, we had a memorable time! Miriam and Barry"
