Manor Cottage is minutes from the footpath to Croyde beach (easy level walk about 10 minutes), so it is ideally placed for those warm beach days, a short stroll or surfing some legendary waves. Greenfields Cottage used to be the workshop of William Budd the village carpenter back in the 18th century. The Pub next door is named Billy Budds for this very reason! The cottage is accessed directly from the footpath to Croyde beach. There is parking for one car included on the other side of the footpath in a small private car park. If you are bringing more than one car there is a large village car park for a small fee.

Changeover day is Friday in peak holiday times, Off peak, Changeover day can be flexible, please enquire.

We are on traffic free footpath to Croyde beach, its a 5-10 min walk from your front door to the beach. Easy with a surf board. For keen walkers from Croyde beach you can pick the SW coastal path. Either head South to the panoramic endless sands of Saunton or the staggeringly beautiful Baggy point and round to Putsborough beach.
There are so many beautiful place during your stay in north devon.

- "We had a wonderful family holiday here. We were a group of 8, three generations from 82 to 5 years old. We have stayed regularly in north Devon for our family holiday and this has been the best property we have stayed at. It is spacious and well maintained. We particularly liked the large dining area for games as well as eating. The kitchens are exceptionally well equipped. We come primarily for the beach and it is close to the beach. The facilities in and around the garage made it easy to rinse off wet suits etc on returning from the beach. The extra shower in the garage was a welcome then too. We contacted the managers about a very small issue over the riser for one of the shower heads and it was dealt with promptly. Everyone wants to return next year. The shops and restaurants in Croyde are only a short walk away and there is a small shop nearby at the camp site if necessary. We used our cars only for a few excursions. We went home very relaxed and unstressed."

Quirky little cottage located in the heart of Croyde only a 15 minute walk to the world class surfing beach and seconds from the village centre, close to local restaurants and pubs, making it an ideal holiday rental for couples.

The space
Seashell cottage is arranged over two floors, with a comfortable seating area, Playstation 5 with games, dinning for two and a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. Upstairs you will find a comfortable double bed with skylight, so you can lay in bed and stargaze! With a en-suite shower room, we provide all towels and bedding so you will have everything you need for a relaxing getaway. A few yards away up some steps is a little patio garden with picnic bench and BBQ with far reaching views across the valley. A couple of things to note on street parking is within 100 yards of the cottage, there is no designated parking space with the cottage, the stairs in the cottage are quite steep and narrow so care must be taken, also the cottage is set back from the road so it's a short walk away, past another house and down some stairs so unfortunately it isn't suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Guests have access to the whole cottage and the patio garden which is a few yards away from the property.

Other things to note
We don't provide any facilities for small children however if you want to bring your own travel cot you are more than welcome, just be aware of the stairs, they are quite steep and narrow. Dogs are welcome at Seashell cottage however it is quite a small space so we recommend just bringing up to one medium sized dog.

The space
The cottage, originally built in 1650, is nestled right in the heart of the old Croyde Village, within walking distance of the beach, surf shops and pubs. The interior of the house is adorned with wooden beams, a stone fireplace and comfy furniture making it a cosy welcome back in from the surf. The living room features a 55'' smart tv, PlayStation 5 and there's also a quality sound system including CD, Bluetooth and record player with lots of music available. Outside we have a wetsuit drying area and board storage. If you go down the alley and up the steps you will find the garden with views across the valley. A gentle stream runs along the front of the house.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms one double, twin with views onto the village and the surrounding valley. Downstairs there is a open dining and living area with a well equipped kitchen at the rear.

Guest access
Guests have access to the whole cottage and the patio garden which is a few yards away up some stairs.

Other things to note
One thing to note is that the ceilings in the two downstairs front rooms are low, so just something to be mindful of if you're tall. The bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom all have nice high ceilings. Please note there are several steps in the bathroom, this might not be suitable for people with mobility issues or those with small children.

Finally just to add the small garden isn't directly behind the cottage but is down the alley and up some steps so may not be suitable for people with mobility issues and is something to bear in mind if you're bringing a dog with you.

During your stay in the heart of Croyde, you’ll have a pub, surf shop, bistro and cinema right on your doorstep (within 0.5 miles). Wander 1 mile down to Croyde Beach for a dip, which is backed by dunes and has plenty of rock pools to discover. From here you can head in either direction along the coast path for a scenic walk with tranquil views of the ocean. If you head north by foot, you’ll reach the headland of Baggy Point (3 miles). Continue along the headland to reach three more sandy beaches, starting with scenic Putsborough (1.5 miles). To the south is Saunton Sands (2 miles), the River Tay (6 miles) which is surrounded by nature reserves, and across the water is Westward Ho! (20 miles).

Fuchsia Cottage is a delightful stone property sympathetically converted from its former use as a stable to The Manor. Now, one of three terraced cottages, it is conveniently located in the heart of the village just a few minutes' walk from the pubs, restaurants and shops. A short walk away from the beautiful sandy beach and National Trust headland of Baggy Point, a couple of minutes by car from Saunton Sands, Putsborough and Woolacombe's blue flag beaches. The North Devon surfer's Mecca of Croyde with its family friendly golden shore replete with cafe, shop and showers, offers both surfing and riding schools.
The area has spectacular scenery to rival any found within the UK and boasts coastal and inland walks to satisfy walkers of all levels of ability. Golfing enthusiasts are well catered for with several excellent courses within "driving range", notably the famous Saunton Sands Club. Other attractions include boat/fishing hire and ferries to Lundy from Ilfracombe, several adventure/theme parks nearby, Watermouth Castle, Arlington.

Rowan Cottage is newly converted 2-bedroom pet friendly cottage located in the heart of the Croyde, North Devon. Only a short 5 - minute walk to the beach!
The cottage provides a tranquil atmosphere perfect for a coastal getaway, with two bedrooms (accommodating to sleep up to 4 people) the Cottage is ideal for a small family, couples or friends escaping the city life for a break on the coast.

The space
Rowan Cottage's open plan living space makes the character cottage a light and airy place to unwind during the day and a cosy place to relax after a long day on the beach.
There is three seater sofa & arm chair perfect to fit all the family for a film night.

The lounge area also accommodates the most important object, Tv and DVD player.
As well as a brand new log burner perfect for those colder evenings in the winter.

Eating and Cooking:
We have just fitted a brand new kitchen into the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with the full amenities to cook and prepare food for all the family with a electric cooker, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/ freezer, Coffee machine and a wine fridge.
There is nothing more you could possibly need.

Sleeping:
The cottage has two gorgeous bedrooms with comfortable beds. Master bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and dressing table.

The second bedroom is a twin bedroom. This room can be left as two singles or made into a King on request.

Bathroom:
We have recently fitted a brand new shower room in to the cottage. With a luxury shower, large sink / vanity unit and new toilet. The brand new bathroom is the perfect place to wash the sand off after a day on the beach.

Outside:
The property is accessed by a paved private entrance with an iron gate.
To the rear of the property is an enclosed lawned garden with a shed. A perfect place to store surfboards or bikes and unwind in the summer months. A lovely bench with a parasol to enjoy the summer days. We also have a charcoal bbq - please note you will need to bring your own charcoal.

Rowan Cottage have full access to the property with allocated parking for up to three vehicles to the rear of the cottage.

Relaxation:
Step outside the front door and within 2-minutes you will be in the heart of Croyde village. With its famous traditional pubs to new styled cafes and eateries.
Croyde has it all plus its surf shops.
Croyde Beach is only a 10-minute walk down the beach path beside Billy Buds Pub.
If you would like to adventure further take the costal path that will lead you onto Baggy Point.
Once you come to Croyde you will never want to leave.

Dogs: We're happy to accept ONE well behaved dog for an extra fee. We kindly ask dogs are NOT allowed on the furniture nor upstairs - thank you.

Located in the heart of Croyde Village, this gorgeous cottage is a charming two bedroom cottage, offering 1 larger bedroom with two singles beds or 1 x 5ft double, the smaller bedroom offers a 4ft 6' double .
The cottage is in easy walking distance from shops, restaurants, pubs and beaches. Families and pets are welcome . The cottage is set up for four guests but also cosy enough for two to spend a romantic getaway.

There is a small shared courtyard out the back which you can walk through to reach the garden.

There are some stone steps (approximately 16) that lead up to a path to our Garden which has beautiful views across Croyde and you can just see the sea on a clear day ... perfect for chilling with a glass of vino whilst watching the sunset. The garden has sun all day.

Vale Cottage is a 550 year old thatched-roof Devon longhouse. It is traditionally built of cob & lime render and is Grade II listed, to recognise and protect its historical significance.

It has recently been fully renovated, but in keeping with its age and character. So it now perfectly combines C15th charm with C21st comfort and amenity.

Kitchen - Range cooker with 5 ring induction hob, separate microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine & ice cream maker. The large fridge, separate freezer and washer/dryer are in the adjoining utility room. There is a stable door at the back of the kitchen leading into the covered & carpeted courtyard, described below.

Dining room - Seats 8 comfortably and table can extend for larger parties with additional chairs.

Living room - Seats 8 with additional chairs available for larger parties. TV, Bose Bluetooth speaker and selection of board games. The living room has a very large old brick fireplace, once a bread oven, with an electric log burner.

Work from home space - Large desk in a quiet corner of the cottage. We have Starlink Wifi and have found it to be fast & reliable. If you have to combine business and pleasure, you have a quiet space to work.

All rooms have wonderful original oak beams and as Vale cottage was originally three cottages, there are different levels and some low thresholds. Mind your head!


Outside Space

Go through the stable door from the kitchen to the private, covered & carpeted courtyard, where there is a dining table and seating for 8-10, which is a perfect space for al fresco drinks and dining.

There is also a separate bigger garden, next to the parking area, an 85 metre walk up the lane. We have plans to renovate the garden, but have not started yet.

Should you wish to use the garden, there is a BBQ and table & benches. There is also a shower and large tub to wash wetsuits, which can then be hung to dry in the carport.

Please note that the garden & parking are not attached to the house, but a moments walk away up the lane.


Parking

The private parking area for our cottage is 85 metres up the lane, next to the garden.

This can park 3-4 cars and there is a car port, so you can park undercover if you wish.

Guest access
Vale Cottage is a 7 minute walk to the centre of the village of Croyde, passing along the way our nearest thatched-roof pub, The Manor (3 minute walk) and the picture-postcard May Cottage Tea Rooms.

We fell in love with the unique combination of surfer chill with olde-worlde thatch and charm - an odd mix, but it works and is great fun!

Croyde has two further pubs serving food, three restaurants, an ice cream parlour, a fudge shop, a Post Office and general store, some great clothes shops, a local craft market weekly in the Summer and a small skate park year round. Some restaurants are seasonal but many are open all year round.

Croyde is nicknamed Devon's Mini Maui, as it is famous for its world class surfing beach, which is life guarded most of the year. There are plenty of surf shops to buy or rent equipment and plenty of surf schools if you want to learn.

As well as surfing, both paddle boarding and coasteering are growing in popularity and there are plenty of places that you can learn and take part in both.

Walkers are in for a treat, with direct access to the South West Coast path and never ending sea views when you get up to the top. You can walk to three separate - and all stunning - beaches in less than half an hour from the door.

For runners, the nearest 5km Park Run is Woolacombe Dunes, which includes an exhilarating 1km beside the waves - it is one of the most beautiful (and toughest) Park Runs in the UK.

If you like cycling, check out the Tarka Trail along the river and to the beaches. There are plenty of places to hire bikes, even electric ones.

Saunton Golf Course is a 10 minute drive away. They offer two challenging links courses and welcome guests, with green fees of £130 summer, £80 winter and
£65 with a county card.

We love Vale Cottage and this wonderful part of North Devon and hope you will love it too.

The lounge has also recently been refurbished. There is off road parking at the front of the property on a tarmac drive for up to two cars. This bright and cheerful home sleeps 5 and a babe, with 1 double 2 singles,sofabed&travel cot.
It has a fully enclosed garden and off road parking.
From its comfy beds and sofas to its spacious kitchen diner, we have everything you need, including a sun room and work space when peace and quiet is needed.

The space
The Vines cottage is situated in the grounds of our home, Kittiwell House, a 16th Century Thatched Devon Long House in the Heart of Croyde. We are lucky to be in the quieter corner of the village, but only a stones throw from all that Croyde has to offer.

The cottage is kitted out with everthing you need to enjoy a self catering holiday, its fully equipped kitchen/diner has a large fridge, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, table and chairs and a high chair if needed.
The lounge is ready for you to snuggle up on the 3 seater, or flop on the huge bean bag and chill after a fun filled day at the beach, and even light a fire on those chilly evenings.
The bathroom has an electric shower over a small bath and we provide the fluffy towels.
The Double room is newly decorated and wonderfully comfortable for a perfect nights sleep so you are well rested for each day of your holiday.
Our second bedroom has 2 single beds,Perfect for families with young children, teenagers and friends.

Being upside down is an added querk to The Vines and means their is access to the garden from both upstairs and downstairs.
An adjacent shed makes storing surf boards, wetsuits, buggys and bikes easy and secure.


Everything in Croyde is within walking distance which makes for a perfect holiday ~ just park up and relax.

With 2 beautiful beaches on your door step, both Croyde Bay and Putsborough Beach are favourites of mine, but Saunton Sands and Woolacombe Beach are a quick drive away and equally as lovely.
You aren’t short of places to explore in North Devon, and of course the walks are endless.

Guest access
The Vines has its own off road parking space allocated to its guests only, any extra cars will need to park in the village Hall car park (unless otherwise arranged with your host) and an enclosed garden. A shed to store surf boards, buggys and bikes.

Please note that the Vines is a close neighbour to myself , your host and Steve (my dad) the owner, so we do ask that you respect our property and its surroundings, especially when useing the garden but mostly when you drive in and out of the car park. I have two young boys who play outside a lot and there are 2 dogs that sometimes like to wonder :)

Welcome to our newly decorated cottage- We hope you like it!The cottage is right on the footpath to the beach and a perfect spot for accessing all Croyde has to offer. There is also a sunny courtyard with a bbq for you sit out and enjoy the evening after a busy day on the beach. We have free parking for one car and happy to welcome your dog too. There's a wetroom for board and wetsuit storage and shower for washing off sand. Light the firepit and watch the sunset with a glass of something cold.

The space
Perfect for surfers, walkers, beach lovers, Step straight out onto the footpath tonthe beach with boards, kids, dogs and picnics.
A tiled hallway leads to a colourful living, dining and kitchen space.
There's a handy downstairs loo and basin.
Upstairs there is a cosy double, a light and airy twin with access to the patio area and a bunk room with plenty of kids books.
The bathroom has a bath with shower over and a heated towel rail.

You can access the patio from the outside too up the exterior stairs. there is seating for 6, a bbq and also a tiled wetroom perfect for showering after the beach and storing wetsuits.

The cottage is available for 2 nightly bookings (with some seasonal restrictions) we have parking available for one car (3 if booked with Meadow cottage). There is a paved sunny courtyard overlooking beautiful gardens and open fields towards the dunes.

Other things to note
The cottage is right on the footpath to the beach and behind a pub. Summer holidays in croyde can be a little noisy! We have a friendly labrador who may try to say hello, do let me know if any of your party have a fear of dogs.

At Sunrising cottage you'll see the ocean between the sand dunes from the living room windows. Sit in the secluded, suntrap garden and hear the surf. Lovely Croyde beach is just 5 mins stroll from the garden gate along an easy level footpath. Pubs, shops, eateries are also only a few minutes walk away in the pretty village nearby.

The space
If you are looking to experience the old world charm of Croyde, combined with panoramic sea views then Cock Rock Cottage is for you.

Originally the gardeners cottage for the neighbouring property. This two bedroom cottage with additional self contained annex, sleeping a further two people, offers unrivaled views across Croyde Bay and over to Baggy Point. Perfect for a sunshine family holiday or a surfing break with friends.

Presented in a traditional coastal style with a nautical theme throughout you will feel immediately at home. The lounge, with dual aspect windows is light and bright and features a stunning log burner to keep you cosy on those winter nights. Views across Croyde bay will keep you entertained for hours. A well equipped traditional cottage style kitchen/diner and shower room complete the ground floor accommodation.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom, once again benefitting from views across the bay and a further twin bedroom to the front of the property.

The self contained annex is just a couple of meters away and features a super-king size bed (can also be configured as twins) a shower room/utility and an informal seating area facing patio doors with views to the rear garden and out to the Bay. Perfect for older children who prefer a bit of Independence or perhaps a personal retreat for guests who are looking for some additional privacy.

You are really spoilt when it comes to outside space. To the front of the property you have views across the hills of Down End. An built in BBQ and eating area tucked in a private corner offer the opportunity for some alfresco dining. While away many a happy hour in the rear garden with sea views across to Lundy island and beyond. Mainly laid to lawn with plenty of space for a kick around there is also a patio area and wooden seating.

Cock Rock cottage is a 15 minutes leisurely stroll from the village centre, with its collection of pubs and eateries so you can easily experience the charms of village life.

Barncott was originally a barn in the centre of the village of Croyde directly opposite the Thatch Pub. It is now a luxurious 4 bedroom cottage with a 10 minute walk down a footpath to one of the best surfing beaches in the UK. Key features; hot tub, fire pit, log burner, period cottage, exposed beams, Afghan carpets.

The space
Situated in the heart of the village of Croyde, Barncott is just a stroll from the wonderful selection of facilities, surf shops and family friendly pubs including the popular Thatch pub directly opposite. A pleasant 10 minute walk along a footpath from the cottage leads to the magnificent surfing beach at Croyde. The three mile surfing beach at Saunton and championship golf course, are also just a few minutes car drive away.
Entering Barncott through the stone porch you are immediately drawn into this quaint property with its slate floor, exposed stonework and original beams. Straight ahead and up 3 steps is the good sized family kitchen. A large window looking out to the garden creates a light room with kitchen table and chairs for informal meals and snacks. There is plenty of storage and work space making it quite a social room during meal preparation. The kitchen itself is well equipped with large 'American' fridge freezer and laundry facilities as well as usual kitchen equipment plus a Nespresso machine. Opening off the kitchen is the dining area with comfortable seating for 9. French doors lead out into the private garden, which is well designed giving everyone space and is easily supervised for children to play. Decking leads around the side of the lawn to the delightful hydro massage hot tub. If you can bear to extract yourself from the bubbles the adjacent patio table, chairs and parasol stand ready and waiting for alfresco meals cooked on the barbecue/fire pit. The garden itself is fully enclosed with a gated entrance and an outdoor shower to wash off after the beach.
The cosy living room/snug includes a comfortable leather sofa, slate flooring with rugs, smart TV/DVD and Apple TV box. A glass panelled door provides an additional entry into the dining area and enables the snug to be closed off. The tasteful ground floor family bathroom has a roll top bath, walk-in shower, WC and basin as well as under floor heating.
Stairs lead up to a split landing on the first floor. Three steps up to the right lead into bedroom 2 with a double bed and original beams, exposed stonework and pine furniture. A good size light and airy en-suite shower rooms leads off from the bedroom. Care should be taken with the lower door frame height into this room. Bedroom 1 (master) is also three steps up from the main stairs and to the left. A stairgate is provided for this room which has a super-king luxury Roche Bobois bed. The room is a good size with vaulted ceiling, exposed stonework and beams. Further steps lead up to bedroom 4 which has bunk beds, double below and single above. Bedroom 3 is another super king with stunning views of Saunton Down hills.
Croyde is a wonderful location for a family beach holiday or a Spring/Autumn surf trip, however the outstanding beauty of Exmoor including Lynton and Lynmouth and the market town of Barnstaple are all within a half hours drive.
