Guest Reviews:

- "The property (inside and out) was spotlessly clean and very well presented with very tasteful decor. Fixtures and fittings were of good quality and the kitchen, bed and particularly the shower were excellent. A nice touch was the fire which was 'ready to light' with extra wood supplied too. Road parking was adjacent to the house. A local shop and Chinese takeaway were 2 minutes walk away. The stairs are very steep if you struggle with mobility, but a beautiful feature of the house. Overall I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay and would like to say thanks!"

8 Bed in Southerndown (86493)
Cottage
Vale of Glamorgan

Sweeping coastal views, characterful original features and nearby idyllic Welsh beaches will win you over while staying in this spacious and luxurious eight-bed farmhouse. With two lounges, a large garden and five en-suites, this property offers everything you could need for a group of up to 16 human guests and two canine companions. You’ll be conveniently close to a couple of eateries, secluded beaches and historic castles.

The space
Make memories in luxury while staying in this two-storey, renovated farmhouse with exposed stone walls, wooden beamed ceilings and elegant decor. Gather with your loved ones in the main lounge with a large, eye-catching fireplace with a crackling wood burner surrounded by plush velvet sofas and chic wooden furnishings. An archway leads to the open-plan kitchen/diner with a stylish blue and white kitchen boasting glossy surface tops and a breakfast bar. Beside this is the tucked-away dining area with antique chairs. The second lounge has a more casual and contemporary feel, with a large corner sofa and tones of orange throughout. Eight bedrooms are spread across the two floors; the master bedroom boasts a four-poster super-king-size bed with an en-suite shower room. Outside is a spacious garden on the farm grounds, containing a complex of three holiday properties. Soak up the sea views from the lawn and dine alfresco in the seating area. There is also an on-site coffee shop and bar.

From the walled garden, step through the gate straight onto the cliff-top heritage coastal trail. Take a night off from cooking and head to one of the local restaurants (0.5 miles). Explore the two beaches on either side of the property – go fossil hunting on Dunraven Bay (1 mile) or frolic along the shores of Ogmore By Sea Beach (2 miles), which is dog-friendly all year round.
