- "We had a beautiful stay at Beaufort Farm House recently as a surprise 60th birthday celebration for my mum. We were a group of 8 with two children. It was a truly stunning property in a breath-taking setting. So peaceful and tranquil. From the magnificent views, to the quirky stairs and rooms, the house was simply amazing and we couldn't fault any aspect of our stay. Whilst we did have a slight miscommunication at the beginning (very minor) this was brilliantly resolved by the owner, Fiona. We had great contact and nothing was too much trouble from our first communications, during our stay and afterwards. The house is very old and has so much character and is beautifully decorated. The old spiral stairs, beautiful fireplace and pool table made the house that extra special! Our mum had an incredible time for her birthday at Beaufort. We will certainly be back to create more family memories."

- "Property was so cosy and clean. The views were to die for. Extremely remote snd lovely and quiet but not too far to be able to drive to certain places. Thankfully the owner of the property made our stay work after the booking agent hadnt informed her we were coming as she had no knowledge we were booked in." - "The workshop offers a lovely tranquil break for two. Built in the grounds of the owners barn conversion, the property is still far enough apart that there's no sense of intrusion either way. The views from the property, looking NE across the border in to Herefordshire are lovely. The Workshop is very well equipped, warm and comfortable. It's an ideal base for visiting Hereford and the Marches or Abergavenny and the Brecon Beacons. When in the area, we wouldn't hesitate to book again."

- "Perfect bolthole and base for our trail runs, walks and cycling short break. The property is well appointed and the views are second to none. Wonderful." - "Only criticism is the shower/ toilet is very small" - "Lovely property" - "After a bumpy start (arrived in the dark and struggled to find the correct automatic gate to enter), little barn was perfect for a weekend break as a couple. We had very cold weather and found the underfloor heating on ground floor was great on your feet but didn't hear the space that well, the bedroom was quite cold and even with the plug in heater we found it chilly. Bob was very accomodating, easy to deal with. We apologise for disturbing your neighbours on arrival and catching Diane seemingly by surprise."

- "Lovely cottage in a fabulous location. Views are amazing and the hot tub great after a days hiking. The robes and slippers along with a welcome basket was a lovely touch. Communication was easy and instructions great. Could of done with a clothes airer to dry the stuff that cant go in the washer dryer after a very wet and muddy hike but we managed. Maybe some bigger pots and pans if your cooking for 4 or 6 could be helpful. Again, we managed. Would stay again."

- "Property was spot on. The owners provided use of the garage opposite which was more than enough room to store our 3 motorbikes. The property was lovely, quant and had everything we could need for our 3 day motorbike tour of Wales. There we could walk to a very nice pub and shop in Gilwern which took only about 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lovely quiet cottage around the Brecons. " - "This is an old style spacious house on the side of a valley and buried in a wood. It is nicely decorated with all items required. The access road is narrow and twisty, just in case you think you might make it with a big van it will be tricky. The house is quite dark and has a musty old damp smell. The property management/owners are quite impersonal as you will do all your check in and communications digitally. I was slightly disappointed that for somewhere that is surrounded by nature and has such a rustic feel that there were so many plastic plants filling every available space in the house. Finally this house is not cheap, but can hold up to four people comfortably and probably could easily fit a pullout bed also."

A newly renovated cottage in the grounds of a country house near Abergavenny & the beautiful Black Mountains - featured in Conde Nast Traveller's Best Airbnbs in the UK.
The space
Court Cottage was once part of the stable yard of the country house to which it belongs. We have recently refurbished it - turning it into a lovely cottage that retains the original roof beams, stone walls & arched windows.
Outside, there is plenty of private space - including a pretty courtyard next to the main house, with a table and chairs. Guests can also use the South facing kitchen garden - where there's a bench that's a great place to read a book or take in the views of rolling countryside. There's space to store bikes under cover and an outside tap to wash down bikes, boots and wellies.
Inside, you walk straight into the sitting room, which is open to the roof eaves. It has two comfy sofas piled with cushions, a wood burner for chillier days, a digital TV & DVD player, a selection of board games and lots of books & local guides.
Through the old pine double doors is the cosy bedroom. It has a king size bed with pure cotton bed linen and a blanket woven from local wool. The bedroom has plenty of hanging space and a chest of drawers (and lots of room under the bed for suitcases etc). There's a digital radio on one of the bedside tables, usb plug sockets and also a hair dryer.
