The owners live next door and are really friendly but also leave you to enjoy your holiday. The grounds are lovely with some nice walks from the front door. Hanley castle has a nice little pub next to a cricket club if you fancy watching a game. Upton upon Severn is a nice town with cafes, a kids park and shops. Clive’s fruit farm nearby is a must. As is The Priory country park. We did a walk up to Malvern Hills Beacon which was suitable for a baby carrier and easy enough for our toddler from the car park. Plough and Harrow pub did great food and was very family friendly. All in all a wonderful, quiet family holiday in a gorgeous setting. Not an awful lot to do but enough to keep little ones occupied. Within easy driving distance are Witley Court, the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre, Ludlow, Worcester and Tenbury Wells. The Wyre Forest is the largest woodland nature reserve in England with cycling, horse riding and many scenic walking trails.

The pretty market town of Ludlow is home to the ruins of a medieval castle which dates back to the 12th century. The black and white timber framed buildings lining the streets add a traditional feel to the town.

The cathedral city of Worcester is in some ways, another market town with pretty black and white Tudor timber framed buildings, and makes for an alternative day out. The medieval cathedral is home to cloisters, a crypt and houses some royal tombs.

Detached, it has a large garden with an slightly uneven garden path, adding to the cottages charm; and views over ancient fields and meadows. Please note children should be supervised upstairs as, due to the age of the house, there are no window limiters. It is set along the main road to the village of Callow End (200 yards) which has a village shop, two excellent pubs and lovely walks.
